This
place
is
as
magical
now
as
I
remember
the
first
time
I
went
to
see
the
Little
Mermaid
in
1993.
It’s
changed
hands
a
few
times.
I
was
shocked
to
see
hardly
anyone
in
the
theaters
last
night.
It
was
a
Saturday
night!
I
just
don’t
know
where
you
can
even
go
to
enjoy
this
kind
of
entertainment
anymore.
The
Spider-Man
movie
was
a
little
mature
for
our
6
year
olds
last
night.
No
problem,
we
shifted
to
watch
the
little
mermaid!
What
a
darling
rendition
of
Hanns
Christian
Anderson
original
story.
I
was
especially
fond
of
the
inclusion
and
diversity
of
all
the
characters
in
the
end.
(I
am
not
a
liberal
by
political
means.
Look
up
the
real
meanings
of
those
words
before
you
judge.)
The
father’s
heart
to
grant
his
daughter
the
freedom
she
chose
and
the
graphics
were
out
of
this
world
phenomenal.
My
favorite
scene
was
with
the
jelly
fish.
I
can
only
imagine
what
that
green
screen
scene
looked
like.
I
want
so
much
to
see
the
making
of
that
film
where
Melissa
McCarthy
is
probably
trying
not
to
laugh
while
she’s
rolling
around
on
the
floor
or
props
or
however
that
woman
did
it.
She
doesn’t
have
abbs…
lol
I
can
only
imagine
all
of
the
silliness
that
came
out
in
the
making
of
that
film.
Both
Eric
and
Ariel
are
new
to
me
faces
on
the
big
screens.
In
Hollywood,
you
don’t
get
in
unless
your
young
and
unfortunately
I
was
young
under
the
Weinstein
era.
That
man
just
creeped
me
out,
so
much
that
I
gave
up
on
my
Hollywood
dreams.
Unfortunately,
I
can
see
also
why
this
movie
came
out
at
the
wrong
time
in
our
culture.
I
can
see
the
backlash
of
a
generation
that
feels
like
they
are
being
canceled
but
for
the
next
generation,
this
is
a
tail
as
old
as
time.
Take
it
from
a
real
life
Mermaid.
Thanks
for
giving
me
a
place
to
review
not
only
the
theater
but
the
first
and
last
movie
of
different
generations
(mine
and
my
granddaughters)
The
Little
Mermaid.
