I just love the lady that owns this place! She is warm, fun and friendly and an awesome cook! The food is prepared with fresh vegetables (no canned or frozen here!) and made with just the right amount of heat from the fresh chilis she uses. The place is set is in a little bit of a time warp, but it reminds me of the Asian places my parents used to frequent when I was a kid, besides, when you get this food and this lady in one place ... who cares?!.

Chicken and beef low mein smell terrible no flavor looks like noodles and store bought gravy. Very sad to see this what people think Chinese food is. What a shame.

Horrible customer service. The lady who rang us up was very rude. They messed up my order, after I confirmed it with them twice. Then she mocked us, to the cook, when we wanted to double check our order. The rice was mush, the food was discolored and we inconvenienced them by asking for soy sauce. Definitely will not be repeat customers.

We enjoyed a delicious meal, appetized by the owner’s kindness. She is very considerate and accommodating to our needs. We would recommend the restaurant to anybody who appreciates a healthy and tasty Chinese meal prepared with care.

We love Rice Bowl! The food is delicious and it is freshly cooked (be prepared for a longer wait for your food, but it is worth it not to get food that has been sitting out all day). While the atmosphere is older in style, it is always clean and rarely crowded. Very relaxing and friendly environment. One of our favorite restaurants. My husband and I are regulars, and we've run into others that have been regulars for years.

After hesitantly searching for food in new locations the Rice Bowl Restaurant did us well. The food was really good! The service also was great and even shared a few laughs. I would eat here again and I would recommend it to someone who is searching for good Chinese cuisine.

Grew up in the area, One of the best. If you are a regular customer, together you can customize your meal to your liking. After year living down south, coming back and she still remembers me and how I like the food.

We had egg rolls, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon, sweet and sour chicken and lemon chicken. Everything was very good. The hot and sour soup was one of the best tasting soup I've had. Right now they are only doing carryout.

My husband ordered general tso's chicken and peppered steak from the Rice Bowl, we got orange chicken and peppered steak. I don't like orange chicken and my husband said his food didn't taste good either.I called them to let them know that our order was incorrect, they proceeded to tell me that is the way she makes general Tso's chicken, I said but it is orange chicken, she said yeah thats the way she makes it. I would not or will not recommend this place at all period.

I hate to leave such a bad review because the woman who took my order was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the upkeep of the restaurant and the quality of food were not great. The building itself is very old and the inside is extremely outdated. There was no A.C. through the building only a space unit, there was a random assortment of kitchen utensils for sale on plastic racks, very old display case with cultural trinkets and porcelain figures but every single thing had layers of dust! They had beautiful round hanging lanterns that even had dust on the bottom! The food was a bit strange, chicken lo mein was more of a creamy pepper sauce, sweet n sour chicken was a watered down pineapple flavor and the general tao didn't have a distinguished flavor? The breading on both chickens was mushy around the chicken itself and slightly crisp on the outside. The fried rice seemed to be half of a scrambled egg and soy sauce, the white rice was fine. The prices for the meals was reasonable for the times and I should note it is carry out only so I have not mentioned more of the dinning room. Overall I do not recommend eating here.

Some good Chinese food, shrimp lo mian

My husband and I got dinner from here last night. The woman was so so nice. So welcoming. . We got general TSO chicken, some kind of shrimp stuff, I'm not sure what it was called my husband talk to her. We also got two egg rolls. My favorite was the egg roll!! Absolutely delicious. I loved the fried rice also. My husband was pleased also! We will definitely be back!

Nicest lady I've ever met, the food was great, and the pricing is best in town.

The best food around! And the friendliest/funnest business owner you'll ever meet, and you absolutely cannot beat her prices.

Quite old and rusty place. The owner is so helpful and polite. A dollar egg roll is in a size of mini burrito and freshly made. Our food were made fresh and served. 3 egg rolls, a chicken fried rice and a chicken chow mein costed us only 19 bucks. Unbelievable price, quality and quantity.

Absolutely amazing food. Love Shelly to death. She is an awesome cook.

First time I tried based on others reviews. Had been driving to another town to get Chinese. This was great. Egg drop soup was wonderful not to salty. Our meal was warm and had wonderful flavor. But the egg rolls were awesome. We will back.
