Restaurant Indian restaurant

👍👍 My favourite Indian restaurant. It has a warm, family atmosphere that reminds me a lot of Southall. I highly recommend a dinner here to get a taste of little India. That's why we go there very often. People often mention Indian, restaurant, Annecy, good, recommend,

The place is awful, water bottle was greasy as much as the plates. There are so many insects ( + flies). Dishes are the same, there is no big difference between them (same products, same sauces), don't look appealing at all. Not all the products are fresh, meat is cooked few days in advance, the greens are all unhealthy (mint, and parsley turned black). Prices for portions are higher than in normal Indian restaurant. 2,5/10

Firstly I will say is the service is not good at all and by looking into the kitchen you can see how dirty it is. This is just the beginning, after we placed our order for takeaway. The food took up to 2 hours to finish, and after we received the food and went back home. We opened the food to find out that he did not put the food we ordered but it was random. Secondly, other than the fact that the food was not good, we found raw chicken. And the so called “lassi” is watered down with water. I really do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever and urge caution if deciding to go to this restaurant.

For home cooked authentic Indian meal, this is the place to come. The kitchen is clean if small and the hospitality is first class. The food was excellent and cooked fresh, so yes it takes a little longer, but it's worth the wait! The restaurant is small and parking is difficult. But the result of being small is the food is freshly cooked and tastes wonderful! Having eaten Indian food in India and the UK , in my opinion this is as good as I have eaten.

Very nicely decorated Indian restaurant. Incredible service with a smile! The owners will make sure you are having an unforgettable experience and accommodate your specific diets or cravings. Definitely worth the short drive from the city centre. When we return to Annecy, we will be back.

Tidy and Clean place, close to downtown. Easily accessible. Usually gets busy in the evening till late. Moderately priced. Parking can be tough. There is parking spot across the road after stop sign, in front of a pharmacy. Max park time is 20 mins.

Awesome food and amazing hospitality by the couple owners. We Indian went there and had amazing vegetarian food. The paneer pakoras with chutney were amazing. The food was amazing and so was the Lassi. The way it was served with so much care made it all the more special. A must try 👌

I went there this week on my trip to annecy and I am vegetarian, I found several vegetarian options and it tasted exactly like food in India. I loved the Palak paneer ❤️. I think is the best I have tried in France . I recommend everyone to go there and you will love it

Bad service, waiting about 20 minutes outside, and having a reservation they let a table pass in front of us. Horrible place

We resided in Annecy for nearly two years and decided to visit this Indian restaurant just before our departure. We knew about it as it is known to be one of the best restaurants serving north Indian food in Annecy. Since we encouraged ourselves more into the local food, we landed there only when we planned to treat one of our friends from China. And we were not disappoined! Here I describe our experience briefly. First of all, the ambiance of the restaurant exuded a warm and homely vibe. From the waitstaff to the proprietors, everyone welcomed us graciously. Perhaps, I felt a bit more connected owing to our shared nationality. Nonetheless, the woman in charge exuded a charming personality, always adorned with a bright smile. The restaurant offered a homely setting, accommodating no more than 15-20 people at a time, and prided itself on serving freshly prepared dishes. Consequently, patience might be necessary due to the limited staff, comprising only three individuals, including the chef. It's advisable to place your entire order at once to streamline the service. Regarding the food, we relished almost every dish we tried, from the appetizers to the desserts. Notably, the mango lassi captured our hearts, especially my wife's. Moving on to the biriyanis—both the chicken and mutton variants—we found them possibly the best North Indian biriyanis available in Annecy. Our meal culminated with a delightful serving of Suji ka Halwa. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking the authentic flavours of some of the North Indian cuisine. Hope to visit it in future if I ever get a chance. Amin

We visited this restaurant after looking at very good reviews but honestly we were little disappointed. We ordered Kashmiri naan, expecting the stuffing would be more of nuts and dryfruits. But the filling was not that much but only tutti fruti(candied chopped fruits). New Delhi rice had lot of dry layer of rice, less of fluffy grains When asked they explained that the dry layer is because of grilling. The texture of the rice disappointed us as it was not like the rice we normally eat at restaurants. The Palak paneer was good but the korma curry was giving some stale fried oil taste and had some bits, dark brown in colour which looked not very nice and my husband accidently bit one and said it gave a very bad taste in his mouth. Positive points the owner was very sweet and the lassi mangue was yummy.

New Delhi is known for its hospitality but we found none of that. We made no reservation and a polite no would suffice but instead the lady decided to belittle, mock and grunt us out "can you not see - its all reserved" Im sorry - this is not an Indian experience and you need not be such bad person if your restaurant is doing well - its the chefs, not you

Perfect. Just like any good take-away in the UK. Reduced menu during lockdown but chicken tikka masala and prawn biryani were both spot on as was the garlic naan. Will be using again.

It’s tough to find a good Indian Resturant in Annecy, better choices in Chamonix currently. Biryani needs more spices, chicken Tika masala the same issue… lacks the depth of flavours one expects, the saag paneer saved the day. Stuffed paratha here is not a stuffed paratha. Fair effort but not likely to return.
