I have been to this theater three times since I have lived in Annecy with my husband and all three times the personell has been EXTREMELY rude. In particular, there is an employee by the name of Nadia who has made our movie experience horrible. We asked to see a film (twice with this Nadia person) which was posted as being shown at the moment. And she rudely says, " No you cannot see it. We are not showing it." It was clearly advertized as being shown. The first time she did this my husband and I simply left in confusion and looked at the poster again to see if it was indeed a mistake. We found out it was not. The second time she did it we decided to reflect a bit and moved off to the side. As we were moving away she says to the gentleman behind us, " Approach because they don't know what they want." My husband got angry and told her to shut up. She deserved it. Not only was the movie showing, but she lied and said it wasn't! Because of this she calls her manager and says my husband was being aggressive with her!! The nerve of that cow! The manager talks to us and takes the side of the employee without listening to my husband and sent us out of the theater. NEVER have I been somewhere where customer service is so poor. Management is a joke. They don't care about customers, the theater is always dirty and smells like dirty feet, the price is the highest in the region. There are other theaters with better quality and cheaper prices. Never again!!!

The place is not very dirty. Access involves lots of stairs. And it looks like the toilets are not just segregated: men and women, but they are on different levels. The staff was friendly and helpful. Were they the movie theater staff or volunteers for the festival? The volunteers outside were rigid and unpleasant. And the same goes for the ones working at Bonlieu. In the end I guess I would come see some special film here, but streaming has made the whole place yet another anachronism kept in place with subventions. The screen is big. That is the only plus. The sound was way too loud for me. Apparently drinking and eating or snaking are forbidden. Yet the chairs have large, mostly dirty, cup or bottle holders. There is no fast forward, and no rewind. One cannot speed up the show. Or discover it was simply a bad idea and switch to hopefully a better film.

Too expensive. I went to inquire about pricing today and the bored chick at the counter told me to check on the internet when I went there expressly to ask for a brochure on 2019 prices. And its not like I asked in English either. No one was even at the cinema (it was midday). When I looked to my left, I realized all the prices for the cinema were displayed. When I started asking her questions about the pricing for different days/ times her answer was to wave her hand in front of the price bracket nearby. So I thanked her (for nothing by the way!) and went on my merry way. There are ways to get cheaper tickets... 12€ a ticket is a ridiculous price. Especially for seats you have to pick out in advanced.

No air conditioning! After 18 months of waiting to enjoy an evening out, it was thoroughly spoiled by the discomfort of the heat. Thoughtless or penny-pinching!

Not great, they search your bags to make sure you don't try to smuggle food and drinks in, only because their prices are outrageous! The ticket prices aren't cheap considering theere were works taking place while we were there, so I would have thought a discount would have been in order. The staff were typical, in that their idea of service is not what the rest of the worlds is...you are disturbing them and they are not afraid to show it! Finally, the place is all a bit sad, in desperate need of an update (to the update as their taste in decor leaves a lot to be desired) and the staff need to be taught how to deal with people in a courteous and efficient manner.

I probably should have read the reviews before purchasing tickets online. The lack of air flow in the hallways was unbearable. It was considerably hotter indoors than it was on a pleasant summer evening. We were hoping the cinema room (Room #2) would provide some relief, but it was not noticeably cooler in the theater room. As an American traveling abroad, I don’t hold expectations that things in the world will be as they are in America, but, the stark contrast between frigid temperatures in American movie theaters and the heat of this French theater was very unpleasant.

Although cinema was nice and spacious, and clean. The cost alone is what has resulted in 2 stars. Well dear!! 7 euros for a bag of m n m's that had all of 12 nuts in, and a small still water... Wow! Scary stuff. Cinema ticket wasn't cheap either. Very naughty!!

Previous reviews about the hot building and hallways are accurate. However, we visited during a big European heat wave so I'm not sure if it's always like this. Once we were settled inside the auditorium itself, there was some air flow and it was a comfortable temperature for the two hour film. Staff were friendly. Also, make sure if you want the original English film, to pick a screening with VOST label.

Good cinema with variety of movies. All the biggest releases are there and most of the movies has option with original voices coz usually they gave dubbing for movies.

Visited for the Anncey Animation Festival. Amazing cinema, with a wide and great selection of snacks, super clean and very friendly stuff. But don't understand the coffee machine... was told I can't bring a coffee into the screening - so why put the machine there? Confusing... Rest was amazing!

Alright guys, you are not about to experience a 4D movie but sensations are there. We’ve been watching Simone Veil on the 21st of December 2022 and… Dirty floor, dirty seats with popcorn leftovers everywhere, no paper in the toilets, empty bottles in the theater. When you pay over 13€ a seat you expect a clean place to enjoy the movies, and if you are understaffed just recruit some. A shame such as the very overpriced candies and other sweetnesses. Especially when you know that they’re not even made in France. When you complain that the cinema industry is suffering, maybe it’s time for a change and to give a proper and net service to your customers. How do you expect us to swallow these low prestations for such an expensive price ? It just doesn’t match. If I could give no stars at all, I would have. You may be sorry for the inconvenience but what are you waiting to actually do something about it ?
