I am an international motorcycle traveller and booked 7 nights. I enjoyed my stay so much that i booked a second week. There is secure parking available which is always a huge plus. This is a growing new hostel with an excellent owner and staff. Ceasar is making improvements daily and will go out of his way to help any guest. My room was very large and comfortable and Lisa is constantly working to keep everything clean. The included pancake breakfast includes coffee, tea and a fruit. I look forward to returning. Thank you!!

This place is cheap, which is nice. However, we were a bit disappointed. After all the high ratings we arrived with high expectations. We booked the private room with private bathroom. We had several long black hairs in our bed and shower, and there is not really space to put you clothes. Caesar (the owner) was really open to our commentary about this. They’ve been open for 2 months so we give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, there are a lot of insects like little flys and ants in the room (maybe some mosquito net for the windows would be nice). The breakfast is allright. There are pancakes and fruit but don’t expect too much. We do not know why this place has such high rating for hygiene, because it is/felt not very clean (at least the private room!). The bed is really comfortable and the staff is nice. Good laundry service as well. We think the hostel has a lot of potential and with the staff it’s promising.

World backpacker, clocked over 100+ hostels, good or bad, living life in the moment. Central Hostel is great - lots of space, light, and fresh air throughout the entire building, including a garden, outdoor patio, and volcano views from rooftop terrace. Hardworking, friendly, and engaging staff, always there to answer any questions. Delicious breakfast. Most of all, clean. Work in progress at the hostel, so do return for more goodies. Good luck.

Really nice hostel, quiet, clean and good service. They can organize shuttle and activities for you for cheaper than an agency. Only thing they should improve is the outdoor spaces, they should have more tables and chairs, they should also use the terrace on the roof.

One of my favourite hostels in Guatemala. It’s a great place to base yourself pre/post volcano hike as it offers a really peaceful environment. It’s also one of the cleanest hostels I’ve ever stayed in. They have a lovely garden where you get to eat your delicious brekky and coffee in the morning. The staff is really kind and helpful and happy to answer any questions you may have. Special thanks to Sandra for being so kind!

This place was amazing! Stayed at many different hostels throughout two weeks in Guatemala and this one was by far the best. Everybody is so kind and welcoming!

Super hostel! Very friendly staff and comfortable beds. The hostel has a nice big in-house garden to sit and relax and watch the birds go by. There's lovely breakfast in the mornings and panela and bread in the evenings. We had a great experience!

Amazing place. Clean, really comfortable beds with privacy. They are pods sort of, see pic. Very friendly crew and a nice garden. Kitchen has everything you need. The services they offer at the reception (shuttles, tips for tous) are one of the cheapest in town. So all in all great!

This hostel is one of the best I have been to. The service is incredible, the team prepares free pancake breakfast for everyone every morning and a warm Colombian beverage with sweat bread at night. The place is spacious and warm, with a large garden and the rooms and sanitaires are always clean. The location is right next to the center. I could not recommend more!

Private room with shared bathroom. It was okay, it had a fan which was nice. The best part of this hostel is the staff - they are ridiculously friendly, helpful and polite and help with booking transfers and tours too. The rooms are okay, but there a lot of bugs at this hostel we found. We moved after a few days to be somewhere nicer after the Acatenango hike which was a great decision - pre hike though this place is fine. Not centrally located though, 10minute walk to the centre.

Clean & quiet hostel with great staff. Unfortunately, the private bathroom in the private bedroom isn’t really private. There’s some sort of plastic divider wall and you can very easily hear your neighbors in the room next door because they share the same bathroom. Multiple times I was in my “private” bathroom and the room next door walked into their “private” bathroom. It’s similar to a public restroom at the airport or a sporting stadium where you can hear everything the other person is doing. Made me a bit uncomfortable and didn’t like this aspect. Better to just use the regular public bathroom for the dorm room because it’s more private like a normal bathroom.

One of the better hostels I’ve stayed! Staff are lovely and welcoming, hostel vibe is very relaxed, with places to work or chill out. Great facilities too, plenty of showers and toilets plus a good kitchen. I stayed in the bunks and a private room and slept well both times. Would definitely recommend.

Very good hostel. Super friendly team, there is always someone available to answer questions and give you helpful tips. They can also help you organising tours or book shuttles. You can also store your bag there if going on a hike. One of the best kitchen we had access to, well equipped and super clean. Filtered water and coffee available. The whole place is kept very clean, the beds in the dorm are comfortable and private. Showers with hot water. Good location close to the centre, but in a quiet street. The included breakfast is delicious. Definitely recommend if you are coming to Antigua.

A really nice hostel with a great value (stayed in the three bed room). We did the Acatenango with the hostel and were a bit unsure about that in the beginning, because it was so much cheaper than the other tours and we didn’t find any reviews on google. We had an amazing time, with nice and experienced tour guides, a simple cabin with a great view and a great group. The food wasn’t too much and was different than described so i would suggest bringing some snacks and I would recommend renting two sticky in the beginning for stability, two were better than just one. Would do the tour with them again and I would also stay there again

I spent an amazing time at Central Hostel ! The owner and the employees are always keen to help and they are very cheerful ! I booked all my trips with them (to the volcano, shuttle to the airport etc.) Without any commission fee. I also liked the pancakes for breakfast, because you can take as much as you want ! The beds in dorms are cosy and since it's a closed space you will have intimacy... Which is luxurious in a dorm :) Recommended 100% ! I wish you the best for your new projects !

I came here because of the great reviews and the price for $30 I got a single room but the bathroom is down the hall and there is not a lamp in the room. there is one small fan but it’s not need it tonight. There is no sign to find a Hostel no numbers on the doors to the rooms which is really weird. Hopefully The free pancakes and coffee will be good otherwise I will be switching to another place in the morning. Also the guy could understand me answering the phone and a paying for my room but I couldn’t get him to point me towards restaurants at 10 o’clock at night. I even used my broken Spanish that I’ve been using since Columbia a month ago

It's a very nice hostel with great service. They offer pancakes, homemade jelly, syrup, coffee and some fruits along with oatmeal. It's simple but well served. The dorms are nice but it misses a place to put your luggage, everything from everyone is spread on the floor, there is a locker for small bags. They do have some storage under the beds but are filthy, my bag got all dirty from staying there. It misses a little shelf near you bed for medicine, cellphone and glasses. The hot shower is good, and the kitchen are excellent. They have a beautiful place on their terrace for yoga. They are few blocks to la Merced Church.

Highly recommended! The employees, especially the lady from the reception are super friendly, helpful and competent. They were on the phone and arguing with the shuttle service we booked after they failed to pick us up as agreed. They then organized us another, cheaper and reliable shuttle. Thank you again, that was really great! The hostel is very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable! We slept in a private room but the dorm also looked very good and was tidy. The hostel also has a beautiful garden with plenty of seating. The breakfast was also delicious, especially the pancakes. The location of the hostel is also perfect, within minutes you are in the center of Antigua. I would come back anytime! :) PS: It is the red house. The Google pin is wrongly one house next to it.

A great hostel. The staff are extremely helpful. Secure parking is available (excellent for motorcycles). The hostel is an easy walk into town but is very quiet at night. It has a great garden with hammocks. Delicious coffee and pancakes every morning. Bunks and private rooms available. Very clean. Fast WiFi.

Clean, friendly, reasonable! Such a lovely place! 😃 Staff cleans the room every day, and the pancakes were really tasty! I like their clean kitchen too! It was easy for me to cook. The dorm beds are separated and each has a bed light. So it made a comfortable stay!

(Translated by Google) The place is very nice, the atmosphere is super calm and the staff is extremely friendly; always ready to support you in whatever you need. My room was quite clean, I didn't hear any noise at night and during breakfast I really enjoyed the pancakes and jam they make. Definitely a very good experience. I hope to have the opportunity to return soon. I am left with a very good taste in my mouth. Recommended.! Definitivamente una muy buena experiencia. Espero tener la oportunidad de poder regresar pronto. Me quedo con un muy buen sabor de boca. Recomendado.!

(Translated by Google) Ideal hostel to spend a few days in Antigua. Affordable prices, very friendly and available staff, great cuisine. A very enjoyable breakfast! A pleasant garden, simple but comfortable rooms. Lacks a bit of landscaping (outdoor space, and on the terrace) but it's only a matter of time because it's a new hostel. Possibility of washing clothes on site at an attractive, practical price! The hostel is located in front of a chicken bus stop coming from Guatemala City (Original) Hostel idéal pour passer quelques jours à Antigua.

If you visit Antigua, you HAVE to book your night at Hostel Central. Decent walking distance from the Central Park, the big Market and the ruins of Saint Jeronimo school. 4min away of a 5pm market with incredible homemade empanadas. The rooms are spacious, super clean and cheap. There is hot shower if needed. The owners are lovely, really helpful AND speak fluent english (!!!). We had good time talking with them at night. They will be happy to help and answer all of your questions about the city to make sure that you have the best trip possible. The dorms are right now in construction and will be super intimate with walls between the beds and a cabinet to put your backpack! A garden and a terrasse on the roof top are also accessible and super cozy. Will definitively come by again when we're around, thanks for everything!!! Aurelia, Francis y Daniel.
