It has a broad assortment of products. Also a good place to shop your groceries in case you consider cooking or in case you want to buy snacks for your volcano hike. If I may give a recommendation than try the local rum called Botran. It’s the one with the turquoise label. It has a very dark and woody flavour. You probably will like it when you’re a whiskey drinker. I liked it so much that I decided to bring a small 0.5 litre back home as a souvenir. Thank me later 🤘🏼

Grocery store located in Antigua! Has a great selection of different things one might need if you're staying in town -- milk, eggs, toilet paper, etc. They also carry alcohol!

This is Antigua's answer to a grocery store...and it works....almost anything you need can be found here. I prefer to use it for processed, jarred/canned or specialty items and to buy my vegetables and local products from the mercado central. Word to the wise:. Do not grab a cart at the opening, use the smaller pullie bags inside ..the aisles are insanely narrow.🙂

This place is the best, the food is amazing. A great coffee selection, a bar, desserts, fresh bread. A must if you're in Antigua

Favorite market in town. Cheapest prices and everything is in stock. We went everyday.

This was a busy little super market. It was small lanes with tight passing capacity. The prices were likely higher than little markets, but they weren’t awful. It was what I expected out of the store.

You'll definitely get things cheaper at the mercado, but they do have a nice selection of imported items and a librería upstairs!

Best supermarket in Antigua - and maybe the only one? The selection of cards upstairs for celebrations needs to be improved, I couldn’t find a good birthday card here.

Friendly staff, good prices, and a good selection of local and imported products. For vegans, they have milks, Violife cheeses, textured soy protein, but no vegan frozen foods (like mock meats) or ice cream.

The maybe the largest supermarket in the city. You can get a Claro SIM card here. The SIM card is free. The prepaid plan is 50Q for 15 days. I came here first but they ran out of SIM card. I went to a different store in the Central market and was charged 25Q for the SIM card. They accept credit card

A comprehensive supermarket, well stock with pretty much anything you need food and drink wise. The prices are so much cheaper than the small shops around. I just wish I'd found this place earlier.

La Bodega is the best option for shopping food in central Antigua. Nevertheless, the supermarket is still messy and chaotic. The aisles are narrow and one is often "stuck" due to other shoppers. The prices are higher then normally, but it's central Antigua, that's to be expected.

This supermarket has everything to offer. Even card games, plate games, papers, painting, and everything else like vegetables, fruits and all sort of groceries. The prices are fair and there is a lot of choice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cash desk is very quick too. The atmosphere and decorations look great!

Broad variety of goods. Well-lit and clean aisles. Check-out counters at both ends of the store.

This is a busy unorganized grocery store. If you can shop the local market better quality. But it is convenient to be able to get everything in one place that you will need as a tourist. Can't imagine any of the local shop here.

A sprawling supermarket, with some Guatemalan dishes on the left at the entrance and a huge collection of household, kitchen, and pantry items inside. The market is jam packed, you'll have to move about carefully. Surprisingly, not that great a selection of fruits when we went. The prices are a bit more that the small shops you will see everywhere in the old city, but can't beat the number of items they have here. Outside the market, they have a tent pitched with chips and other items on super sale.

Big supermarket with everything at a good price. The staff is very nice. Possible to pay by card from 15Q.

Great big sprawling store for groceries, wine, liquor, kinda everything. ATM at the north entrance. Bring your own bags or buy them at a reasonable price.

We needed a few basics and entered this supermarket. So much merchandise and food stuff were packed in there that it blew my mind. Pretty much anything you need is in there. Antigua continues to surprise me.

A great supermarket for such a small town. Not much has changed in 20 years here (which is a good thing) but they aren't so aggressive about making you check your bags any more, and they even have someone upselling wine (which is not generally easy to find in Guatemala, at least if you want to go beyond gato negro, a $5 chuck costing $10). Fresh fruit is still reasonably priced, but if course is cheaper in the more chaotic main open market across the road (most things are if you want to haggle). Local SIM cards can be purchased and the vendors will configure your phone for data etc (if you ask) at the separate counter by the entrance on 5a Calle. Great coffee selection.

Big grocery store with lots of items. Small aisles and sprawling store - you will need to explore a bit to find what you are looking for as the shelves are not organized with any signage. Occasionally you can find more luxury US goods (for a price, of course). Upstairs is an area with school supplies, arts and crafts items, books, gift wrap. Even managed to find a crochet needle and yarn there. Be cautious of prices, usually very affordable but sometimes the labels aren’t in the right spots on the shelf. There’s also a pharmacy inside with more selection than some of the pharmacies on the street.

Fantastic store you can find anything here. Must be seen to be believed. Staff are extremely helpful.

It has been 14 years since I have shopped here! The place has really expanded as far as what they have in stock! One of my family members eats gluten and dairy free, and I was a very pleased to see that they had quite a few options at La Bodegona!
