We
found
this
tour
company
while
walking
around
in
Antigua.
Let's
note
that
we
wanted
to
start
the
hike
in
the
evening
since
we
were
short
on
time.
She
booked
us
the
tour
with
a
guide
for
that
evening.
It
would
cost
500Q
+
100
q
entry.
She
told
us
it
would
include
clothes
rental
(jacket,
pants,
gloves,
and
beanie),
dinner,
breakfast,
water,
and
a
place
to
store
our
bags.
Mind
you,
the
price
was
higher
because
it
was
just
the
2
of
us
so
it
was
pretty
much
a
private
tour.
It
was
a
little
weird
meeting
at
the
office
which
was
closed.
The
driver
drove
the
2
of
us
to
her
house
saying
we
would
have
dinner
there.
When
we
arrived
he
told
us
to
wait
in
the
car.
They
brought
the
winter
clothes
out
for
us
to
try
on.
Then
told
us
we
had
to
buy
our
own
water
at
the
convenient
store
and
there
was
no
dinner.
We
bought
a
few
more
snacks
to
make
up
for
it.
Then,
the
driver
drove
us
45ish
minutes
to
the
entrance
where
we
we
paid
the
guide
100
q
for
the
entrance
fee
(which
was
odd
since
the
entrance
office
wasn't
there
and
nor
was
it
open
when
we
passed
it).
We
also
had
to
pay
10
q
per
bag
to
be
stored
at
some
house.
The
hike
itself
was
fine.
The
tour
guide
didn't
really
engage
with
us.
He
just
knew
the
route
so
we
followed.
He
didn't
speak
English
which
wasn't
an
issue
since
we
both
have
some
Spanish
background.
The
hike
was
strenuous,
but
not
technical
like
other
hikes
either
of
us
have
done.
My
partner
does
trekking
and
backpacking
and
I'm
an
avid
runner
so
you
can
gage
based
on
our
fitness
level.
We
arrived
at
12:30PM
and
took
a
nap.
The
hut
wasn't
bad
and
wasn't
crowded
as
other
people
said,
but
we
were
also
here
during
off
season.
The
sleeping
bags
were
old
and
probably
never
washed,
but
I
didn't
expect
too
much
there.
At
3:45AM,
the
guide
called
us
up
to
hike
to
the
peak
for
sunrise.
At
one
point
he
went
so
far
ahead,
he
left
us
and
we
ended
up
walking
on
the
sandy
path
instead
of
the
trail
which
was
annoying.
After
sunrise,
we
came
back
for
breakfast.
He
didn't
have
enough
water
to
make
us
our
oatmeal
so
I
had
to
give
him
part
of
my
second
bottle.
Seriously,
what
the
hell.
We
descended
pretty
quickly
afterwards,
but
he
kept
stopping
since
the
shuttle
wasn't
coming
until
around
10AM
so
lots
of
wasted
time.
Overall,
if
you're
looking
to
do
the
overnight
tour
with
them,
make
sure
to
make
them
write
down
what
you're
getting
and
ask
for
a
dinner
to
go
like
a
sandwich,
but
who
knows
if
they'll
give
it
to
you.
You
can
request
meeting
at
the
office
earlier,
which
we
did
(6:30PM)
to
start
the
actual
hike
at
8:30PM.
If
you're
not
planning
to
do
as
aggressive
of
a
hike
as
we
did,
I
STRONGLY
recommend
doing
it
with
another
tour
company.
It
truly
is
you
get
what
you
pay
for.
I'm
sure
there
are
other
tour
companies
that
might
do
this
hike
on
fast
forward,
but
again,
since
we
were
short
on
time,
we
didn't
look
around
too
much.
