Open this January 2022 onwards. But no swimming allowed. Can take pictures while walking on the beach and even dipping yourself in. Improve with adequate restrooms too.

The beach is clean and water is crystal clear. However, you’re not allowed to swim there, only can take photos. If you’re lucky, you may see some small sharks around. - The entrance fee is 400 bahts for foreigners. - A small tip: If you want to have the beach for yourself, make sure to get there before 10am. As after that, more and more tourists will come, the beach will be packed by full of people. FYI: the beach temporarily close again on the 1st August, 2022 for 2 months to give the bay time to let the wildlife and environment breath.

After years of needed recovery Maja-Bay re-ooened recently with a new more protective concept. 400Bt entrance fee (40Bt for Thai-People) and usually one stays 1hr. For sure, it's a wonderful place of nature. Even now in low-low-Civid-Season it's a good idea to come early around 9:00 o'clock. Life-Hack: keeo at least your smartphone beside and take pictures....with your eyes and heart. Those ones will stay longer as any others. And now some pictures!

Beautiful Beach with white sand that looks like flour on your feet. You have to be lucky to not have too many people at the beach with you. It is better when you go in the morning before 11 am. You are not allowed to swim, but you can dip your feet in the water. Lovely, but not a must see.

This is a continuation along the adventures through the Phi Phi islands. It is a small beach which has a unique coloured fine sand which matches well with the sky blue water. Go into the beach and get to experience the beauty first hand. The beach is at times closed in order to give time for the ecosystem to recover. Please check its status before planning to visit this place.

On 20/22 we were a bit lucky at the time of our visit as it was not so crowded in order to spoil its beauty. Interesting as well the way of access and the path through forest that leads to it.

Just re-opened! Well organised at the moment with a new pier away from the bay. Walk five minutes to reach the beach. At the beach: no swimming, no watersports, no boats! Amount of people is limited at the moment, works well. They closed a few years ago for tourists and boats. And yes, the lagoon has recovered: it had been in the news for a few years that the sharks came back. Well, we have seen quit a few baby sharks!! Hopefully they can keep this management.

I took the “early bird” tour from 6:30am to 10:00am (half day tour) to see Maya Bay and it was a good decision, i think we were the first group to arrive It’s beautiful I could expect it would get super packed during the day

Heaven on earth! Swimming not allowed but who cares? The view is just stunning and you could have a great photo opportunity.

Ever since it's reopened, it's sooo much better with the sea life having returned back and the colour of the water seems to have become even more vibrant. It's really quiet now so you can enjoy your time there (1 hour) without the influx of tourists. You can only spend an hour now and you can not swim there anymore in order to keep the place in pristine condition. For a more detailed review, watch our vlog on YouTube: "sunkissedbucketlist"

Cannot swim here! Also it is a national park so you may have to pay a fee if you take a water taxi here. I recommend doing a full speedboat tour and seeing all the things on the island including this! Honestly just feels like Thailand decided to use a claim to fame from the movie the beach as a reason to shovel tourists here and make money. But honestly, pretty much all of the local islands are quite beautiful and it’s hard to say with confidence that this is more beautiful than others! And It does lack activities, all you can do is really sit and stare at its magnificence. Buy the corn and support the park and locals. It’s good! 5 for beauty. 4 stars due to lack of things to do here.

A must visit place if you are in Thailand. This beach is very beautiful. You have to reach here via boat. You have to walk a little after leaving the busy to reach the beach. There is an entry fee here. Add this place is very popular with tourists, it is usually crowded. Hence, come get in the early morning or in iff season.

Absolutely stunnig, after almost 3 years of closing Maya Bay looks fantastic. Now all the boat can't access to the bay but they leave you on the backside of the island, this is much better. Unfortunately the tourism is back already and if you go in the afternoon you will find many people again. To enter you have to pay the national park fee, as always foreigner have to pay 10 times the price for thai people, what a shame.

Maya bay is bae❤️ breathtaking views that stirs your soul. Loved every minute over there. You are not allowed to swim. Can click pictures. They charge 400 baht as Entrance fee but zero maintenance. The restroom is pathetic. No cleaning and it would make you puke because of the stench

We also visited Maya bay as part of our day trip to the islands and we were not disappointed, it is a very stunning place. If you get the opportunity to go early or later do it as we arrived around 4pm and the big crowds were going which left it fairly quiet.

Thailand tour cannot be complete if you are not visiting phi phi Island. Maya bay is a heaven, with clear water, white sand, high cliffs around feels dreamy. Journey to phi phi is around 45mins which itself is fun

In general these islands are beautiful by nature, see water is clear and there’re a lot of fantastic views that can be captured. In this island there’re few shops selling fresh juices, ice cream and food. No Swimming nor snorkeling are allowed at front side otherwise a fine of 5000 buat will be placed against violators. This island has nice walks but it’s too crowded with people. I wish that the design other islands to be like this island to make suitable for hiking.

Maya Bay is beautiful, it’s easy walk from the boat landing to the beautiful bay. There are a lot of tourists come visit everyday.
