Authentic Thai food on Koh Samet. We had the mook lab, BBQ ribs and a papaya salad. Everything was really fresh and delicious. 100% recommendation.

The food was sooooo good! Especially the grilled pork neck and the chicken. Almost every dishes were great, highly recommended! But many mosquitoes, wear long pants or take away if you’re easy to get bitten.

This is an excellent North eastern Issarn style restaurant. They have great grilled chicken, sticky rice, somtam, pork naam tok, pork larb and more. The shop is basic but the staff are nice and the taste is excellent. Recommend this place if you like spicy Issarn food.

Authentic local Thai restaurant run by uncle Gop (means frog) for the last 20 years. The grilled pork neck is tender; grilled chicken is deeply marinated, somtams are proper - we had somtam Pou Pla Ra and somtam with salted eggs - along with sticky rice and Leo beer. The plastic furniture, loud TV playing Thai drama, and friendliness of the owner added to the charm of the overall experience. Prices are very reasonable for island food. Highly recommend!

Best thai food, nice people. If you are fed up with the touristic food at the beach, come here. Our kids loved it, too. Barbeque is awesome.

Best laarb and pad talay on Koh Samet. The laarb was so herbaceous, and the pad talay was fresh and cooked to perfection with that distinctive Issan gravy. We ordered other food as well, all of it delicious. Came here for Issan food from the good reviews. Authentic Issan down to the mosquito coils burning under the tables. Highly recommend! It is a roadside Thai place, so you are sitting in basically a shack with a dirt floor, but that's why you came to Thailand, right? 2 people in our group lived many years in Thailand, and this place made them nostalgic. We were on holiday in wet season and he does close early (7pm ish) in the quiet time of year.

The food wasn't the best I've ever had in Thailand, but for a quick lunch it was okay. Papaya salad was really spicy, my bad forgot to ask for not spicy. Dishes are around 100-200 baht. Paid 460 baht for 2 dishes and rice and 2 big beers.
