Stayed there for 2 nights. Lucky enough to have the room to me and my sister, so it wasn't too squishy. The room window was left open, so there were some bugs in the room. The lockers do not lock and there weren't really any plug ins to recharge your devices. We arrived thinking there was a guest kitchen but there wasn't and had to throw out the refrigerated food that we had bought, which was about 10 euros worth. When I asked if there was a guest kitchen the man at the desk said, "this isn't Canada, Holland hostels don't have guest kitchens", like I had never stayed at a hostel before. I did not appreciate the attitude he had given me, since all the other hostels I have stayed at in Europe and in the Netherlands had kitchens. The power went out in our rooms without having anything plugged in a couple times; although the staff was very nice and corrected that problem immediately. The surrounding area was very beautiful and Apeldoorn is a beautiful town. The restaurants in the shopping area were very good too. Rented a bike from the hostel and was able to use it for the whole day and there are bike paths up and down the highway.

A wide variety of offerings ranging from basic hostel accomodation to exelent, simple, and clean, spacious rooms with own shower/toilet. Breakfast until 9:30 included, checkout 10am. This is a family focus enterprise, with lots of noisy, hungry, children elbowing their way to breakfast, occasionaly touching food items in the breakfast bar after visiting other body parts. Quiet nights.

We recommend this hostel because is situated nearby the Palace Het Loo, the Natural Park Berg en Bos. Also there are some attractions for children and special travks for hiking and cycling.

Stay okay... Is okay. Fun colours and the rooms are good. The bedding is fresh and everything functions well. The food is not spectacular but the surrounding is magical. Make sure to go and visit the deers and climbing/monkey park nextdoor.

Rooms are very basic, but functional and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was unexpected, literally incredible! So much choice and caters for more than just the traditional continental breakfast. The bar is a great addition, bar staff very friendly and likeable. Great atmosphere especially after a long day of travelling. Ideal for both young backpackers, families or someone just looking for a place to stay.

Really helpful service, rooms are clean and perfectly adapted for the short stay. We were able to enjoy cosy evening till late outdoors further from the building in order to avoid noise. Located in the little forest this place is perfect!

I went here for a school trip, and although the rooms were quite small, the breakfast lunch and dinner was very nice. There's a climbing Park nearby here which is also a recommendation and just the surroundings in general are nice. P.s. if you're reading this Mr/ms owner, put more than 2 chairs in the 4 person room.

We really enjoyed our two-night-stay in the Hostel to visit Apelheul. The service at the reception was great, thanks for kind welcoming and tips concerning our stay, i.e. gow to get to the monkeys fast. Rooms are basic, all right for just sleeping purposes. Breakfast + dinner were good, everything needed was included, a toaster for breakfast would have been convenient. We plan to come back 😀
