Interesting storefront of an industrial bakery. Cross between bakery & deli. Wife loves to get a little pastry or piece of pie or donuts to go home. MD crab soup is one of the best around. Cup of Chili was decent not too many beans. Reuben was good, would order again Wife had vegetarian cucumber lettuce tomato sandwich. Needed to doctor up her sandwich to give it some zest. One time kitchen lost my steak sandwich order. Cashier gave me soup which I guess caused confusion, thought the ticket was closed? Anyway I won't be getting the steak again (pic). It was underwhelming in size and flavor. Several times had Sausage, Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich (pic) on rye over side of home fries. Sandwich was great but home fries felt like they've been cooked 20 minutes earlier. Would not order them again. Recommend it on toasted croissant (pic).

Great spot for a morning coffee or a lunch sandwich. They serve breakfast and lunch all day and have a special every day of the week. Very friendly staff and lots of options

Bakery Express used to be M's Dessert from Woodlawn MD. Well I love them so much, I followed them to Halethorpe MD. Yes! They renamed to Bakery Express, all their dessert is amazing. My favorite is the Carrot Cake, Chocolate Chip Coconut cookies & their beautiful decorated Birthday Cakes. Since their expansion, they have a lovely cafe serving sandwiches, pizza & so much more. They're the best in my opinion.

I must say, this place never fails me. Every year I come here to get my kids birthday cakes made. My daughter wanted a rainbow cake this year and Bakery Express did more than a terrific job! Thank you so much for help making my daughters 10th birthday so special for another year!

We’ve eaten here a few times and let’s just say the food is great. The donut breakfast sandwich is GREAT! This place will be part of our regular places to eat :)

Bakery Express has great treats. My favorite was the double fudge chocolate muffin. Also, Fatima helped me get a cake for my daughter’s birthday! She was helpful and made it easy to find a perfect cake last minute from the freezer.

My partner a great experience here. Customer service seems to be a priority and the doughnuts are delicious! We had a date night together and had a craving for gourmet doughnuts for desserts. We told the ladies that we drove over 20 minutes to try their doughnuts based on reviews; The google reviews attracted us here. We would definitely go back again! Thank you ladies!

I needed an original cake made for a very special coworkers retirement party. Bakery Express took my emailed notes and turned it into an absolutely fabulous sheet cake! They nailed it! The cake was a delicious mix of chocolate and vanilla cake topped with luscious buttercream icing. Not to mention they have fresh baked donuts that are irresistible. I highly recommend this bakery!

This place is now so overpriced. It's better to find a local bakery and support them. Years ago I told them to start making the smith Island cake. Famous for all the small layers. Sold for about $30.00 on the Eastern Shore. Bakery Express sells them now for $54.00. I found one clearly missing a few layers since I was purchasing about $500.00 in baked goods I told the clerk I would purchase it at a small discount. I was told management flatly refused. Not only are they overpriced they are unreasonable as well.

We purchased our wedding cake from bakery express and it came out SO beautiful! They were able to bring our vision to life and we received so many compliments on the look and taste of our cake- would recommend to anyone!!

I've been coming here for years ... I have nothing but good things to say about their bread . Food, staff! All around a good maintain place! I'm here maybe 2 to 3x a week! They have a special during the week days and it comes with A drink A dish / sandwich Chips ANDDDDD Desert 10/10!!!

The staff is amazingly nice and so is the food. Tried the donuts last week and nearly lost my mind…best and freshest donuts in town hands down. As I was leaving another customer told me, “you have got to try the chili on the cold weather….oh my GOD”..now I am looking forward to winter…first time here but definitely not my last

Excellent food, super clean kitchen and an awesome staff! We love their donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. We got the tuna salad sandwich and Ruben and they were huge and super delicious! We love that this place is so close! We are a lifelong customer for sure! Would highly recommend.

This is an outlet for the bakery that supplies almost all nearby grocery store bakeries and as such, maintains a very precise standard of for baked goods. It's great if you like grocery store bakery items, but the texture and flavors are not quite to my taste (but definitely not bad!). The store is clean and the people are friendly, and the bakery items are very fresh.

The customer service is phenomenal. Friendly and helpful. Some folks have been there a long time. The best cakes and doughnuts. It’s always a special treat when I can take their doughnuts to work. The “off the shelf” cakes and baked goods are excellent. I haven’t seen the white chocolate cake in a long time and I miss it. I don’t make my own quiche anymore I just buy theirs. Prices aren’t bad for what you get. Not that it’s cheap, it’s just that good. I always buy their custom decorated cakes for events. They taste so much better than everyone else’s and they are very creative in decorating. I’ve only eaten at the cafe twice and it was good both times. Don’t miss the racks on your right when you come in or the farthest cold case from the door. There can be some great prices on odds and ends of things. Loyal customer since they were in the old store and had wonderful “oops” offerings.

My local Royal farms in HANOVER PA has these individual wrapped they are very good I heat mine in microwave out of wrapper of course they are worth the $1.59!!!!!

Got baby shower cake from Bakery Express and they absolutely nailed it with both taste and design! Has been a fan always of their donuts and smith island cake but with this custom order, they are my to go now onwards and 10-10 recommended for your sweet tooth

Great bakery with nice variety of pastries, sandwiches and salads. Very clean, organized, and pleasant customer service. I wish they could have Tiramisu cake available, but is only made for the holidays, so I will happily wait for it😊👌

My family & I have always loved this bakery, even when it was located in Woodlawn & known as Ms. Desserts. I actually had my wedding cakes baked by Ms. Desserts in 2002. Now, I share the joy of the many baked goods and food options with my sons. My youngest loves the donut breakfast sandwich & my oldest loves the cupcakes. 😊

I used to love this place, and would take a 45 minute drive to stock up on their out of this world quiche,cakes and pies. But I was there a few months ago, and the quality of their offerings is completely different. Not at all good. Does anyone know why? I'm so disappointed.

This place is great. It's always clean, and every baked good I have tried over the course of several years has been great. Not to mention friendly customer service. And It's a shame that someone would actually leave a one star review because they no longer make/ or discontinued a particular type of cake. It's ridiculous to leave a bad rating for an establishment over something like that.

They did an incredible job and great price... we emailed a picture of what our daughter wanted. The cake came out better than the pic.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. Didn't know it was there till recently. Always amazing food. Get a piece of something sweet for your sweet tooth. Everyone that works there is super friendly ! Best food in the area
