Perfect quiet homestay in Jaffna, Allen goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable and his garden is a beautiful place to chill and relax. Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and tidy and location was good.

Excellent Guesthouse. You are welcomed as if you were a long time Friend. Allen is very helpfull to organise your stay and visit in Jaffna. The house is cosy and spotless. Highly recomended !

We loved staying at Allen's Guest House. He is a truly gracious host and, honestly, nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed eating breakfast with some of the other guests and I'd have to say that Allen makes the yummiest of omelettes. Allen can organize anything you need. He even collected our clean washing for us from a local laundry. The only downside (if you could call it that) is that our en suite bathroom could be upgraded a bit. If we came back to Jaffna we would opt to stay with Allen again.

The best place to stay in Jaffna. Allen is so nice, welcoming and does everything for you to feel at home. Big and savoury breakfasts too with fruits, eggs, toasts and great coffee (which was a nice change from the other hotels we visited :)). We loved the three days we spent there. Allen, the host, really made our stay in Jaffna. He is a very honest and wise man with good recommendations. He also lived in Europe, so he knows what our culture is like. During our stay we could use his Dutch bicycles and he arranged an amazing tuk tuk tour for us (fair price). We also really liked the vibes at the accomodation. In the nights we were just sitting all together at the terrace, drinking cocktails, talking about life, with Allen and other guests. P.S. he has an amazing garden with spices and herbs. We would definetily recommend Allen's place! Thanks Allen!

Allen is the best host we’ve ever had the pleasure of being greeted by. He truly goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. If you are looking for a quiet home away from home in Jaffna with lots of art and photography on the walls and a beautiful garden - this is the place. I have rarely seen such raving reviews. And I can't contribute much to them, every single one of them is right. Allen greets and treats you like a long time friend. You really live in his home, which is beautiful with a calm and relaxing garden. The rooms are very nice, spotless clean, have both a fan and AC and mosquito nets over the bed and in front of every single window. Allen helps you to get around Jaffna, recommends spots, daytripping routes and restaurants. The breakfast is great, there is cold beer in the fridge, and if you're lucky Allen bakes an amazing cake while you're there. We wouldn't think twice about going again.

Our days in Jaffna were super special and Allen was the main reason for that. Allen is such a fantastic person! During the 4 days we stayed at his house, we had the opportunity to talk a lot about many things and it was a very pleasant time. And the house itself is incredible, spacious, airy and with a lot of nature in the garden. Every morning he prepared a delicious and healthy breakfast to start the day. The location is also great, close to the main Hindu temple and also to the best restaurants. We did everything on foot, including going downtown. It was fantastic!

What a great guy Allen is. Kind, helpful and fun to talk to. His place os also a great guesthouse to stay (a short walk from most of Jaffna’s hotspots and even the fort is less than an hour away walking). Highly recommended!

This place is just perfect. The house is a beautiful old building, so clean! The garden is green and calm. And Allen is the greatest host. We feel like home and fall in love with Jaffna and Allen. When you come to this Jaffna, you have to stay here!!!!!
