Fantastic museum. Entry is free. Run by people who know their history and really care. Story of the battle is well explained with video and voice. All sides of the story are told. The Dutch really had a tough time back then.

The exhibit look over the bridge. The video (in English) provides the account of the allied forces and what they encountered. They were so young but dedicated to liberating Europe. It's free to enter and well worth the time to appreciate the sheer scale of Operation Market Garden.

Very informative visit to the Airborne Museum. We received a comprehensive overview from one of the volunteers and were then left to our own devices to read the exhibits and absorb the audio/visual displays. Not the biggest of museums but a very good example of keeping history alive, as well as a reminder of the sacrifices that were made on all sides. Definitely recommended.

Loved this volunteer run place. A must. Donations basis for entry. Effectively a short story rather than a day at the museum, told well in English Dutch and German. Short film downstairs, and pods to watch more upstairs. A little shop of goodies to remember it by. Well worth a stroll to and an incredible story. We all need to remember those lost soldiers and what it teaches us about the futility of war.

For me personally, I found it very atmospheric. I particularly enjoyed the descriptions and inputs by the Dutch ladies who were knowledgeable and interesting about the developments in the area and about the feelings for the British Army in the Arnhem area. I shall seek out more 'before and after' histories now that I've felt the ghosts of both sides...

Airborne at the bridge, remembering the battle of the Rhine Bridge. The museum is free and small, the staff is nice and welcoming, but seeing the bridge before and after. The view of the Bridge from the inside of the museum made me realize that most of the things in life that have once been broken and torn apart because of human greed, status, pride and ego can be rebuild again if there is hope and collaboration.

Small but excellent museum. Provides some background on why the nearby bridge is so important. Also check out the Airborne Museum, which is not far away.

A must visit for people interested in history of World War II. Operation Market Garden stayed in history as a failure of the allied forces but also as a moment in history where brave men stood their ground against all odds and there is no failure in that!

A must-visit Museum dedicated to one of the most famous and tragic battles in Arnhem, during WWII: Operation Market Garden. The movie 'A Bridge Too Far' was based on this. Highly recommended.

Small but a nice museum about the market garden and John Frost. It's free what is great and the vollunteers are happy to explein you what happened at the John Frost bridge, and do this with passion. You can make a voluntair contribution at the end. Would go here 5/5! And a great view over the Rijn especialywith snow (see video).

Thanks a lot to people who are working here. They are really doing the job with pleasure, talking about the local history and keeping the place tidy and friendly. It's really awesome, that the location is at the point where many events happened, so while watching documentaries or hearing stories you might feel like at the centre of the act... Thanks to the voluntary workers (or the state) for keeping the entrance for free or for optional contribution. It makes the place accessible for anyone who is welcomed then, no matter of financial situation.

The museum is small and the volunteers are really nice and happy to talk about the events happening there. But I still didn’t understand the full chain of events and the reasons behind them.

Great little museum sharing some basic insights on the fighting that took place here between allied and German soldiers. It's a small museum but gives you enough info to wet your appetite to learn more about the war in Arnhem.

Today, we had a remarkable time at the Airborne Museum at the Bridge. The museum impressively showcased a wealth of information and films about the captivating Battle of Arnhem. The staff's multilingualism and graciousness added to the experience, and we left with a meaningful souvenir. The museum's stunning view of the river and John Frost Bridge further enhanced our visit. A definite must-see in Arnhem for its historical significance and scenic charm.

Really great muzeum of Arnhem (John Frost’s) bridge. We meet Harry and Enso. Theese two guys told us so many infomartions about bridge (defense and offense) and something about operation Market Garden (this bridge was part of it). They are really kind and friendly. Thank them so much. Kamil & Kamil & Radim - Ostrava Czech Republic 02.08.2023.

Very interesting collection of stories about the battle around the Bridge of Arnhem in 1944. With the interactive elements of films and stories from that time you are literally dragged into the history of these past events. The visit is free of charge and the employees are very helpful.

A must stop if you are in the area. See how easy it is to lose your freedom and then regain it. Great for school kids. Three languages, Dutch, English, and German.

An extension of the main airborne museum a few kilometres away. This free to enter view point is excellent. Plenty of information, friendly staff and a coffee machine serving coffee for €1.50

I visited this free museum without pre-booking. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the John Frost bridge and Operation Market Garden. There are some nice videos to watch and you can learn a lot of information there.

A nice little museum that you can visit for free. I would 100% reccomend it for anyone who's interested in the Battle of Arnhem. When I visited, there were two guys working the desk named Gerhard and Enzo who were both very pleasant to talk to. I ended up spending a few hours talking to them in addition to viewing the museum.

So glad we visited the museum. It's small. But it brought home the story , from all sides, very fairly. Well worth a visit.

Poignant location and exhibition, reminiscent of so much death and suffering Parking nearby with small visitor centre with helpful staff explaining the local landmarks

Nice stuff (I guess volunteers). Friendly and informative. Cannot be compared to Oosterbeek Airborne museum, but if you have no time to visit a bigger one, its a nice museum about Market-Garden ("The bridge too far"). Bonus: special view to John Frost bridge.

This building is part of the bigger musuem at Hartsenstein. Provides information about the John Frost Bridge and the Battle of Arnhem. Definitely worth visiting to help get an understanding of what happened in the surrounding area. It is also free to enter.

I cannot say enough positive things about the guys! Their local and historical knowledge is second to none. If you are going to Arnhem and have an interest in Operation Market Garden then you should make a visit.

We had a great experience and the guides had lots of information. Please donate to help keep places like this open. Bonus there was toilets on site ( great for when you're traveling) Parking is limited and a pay machine located nearby.

Fascinating small museum dedicated to telling the story of the Battle of Aachen while looking directly out onto the contested John Frost Bridge. The staff are wonderful. Welcomed us and were extremely informative. Highly recommend visiting the museum at Hartenstein in Oosterbeek alongside a visit to this museum.
