One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Educational and engaging. One can notice that lots of attention has been paid to the small details to offer a smooth visitor experience. The guided tour was offered in French and in English with our guide switching effortlessly between both and adapting the level of the explanations to the audience. We had kids with us and they were able to follow and understand everything. The audio guides fragments provide complementary explanations and are nicely woven in the visit between the guide’s explanations. All in all, a must do if you are in Arras! PS: to the two young people working last Saturday morning, merci beaucoup!

A 90 minute visit to the underground passages of Arras. Very informative and worth seeing. During the tour, each participant receives a hairnet, a steel helmet to wear and an audio set with headphones in their own language. Unfortunately, most of the explanations are given in French or English that is difficult to understand. You should book tickets for the tour in advance.

This is a fantastic attraction. Medieval quarry that was forgotten and then rediscovered during WWI, which allowed the British to interconnect a whole swathe of quarries, under the Arras region. The tour is well-thought out and uses projectors and headset, to give information and act out soldiers' letters home, to really give a feel for what it must have been like, whilst waiting for the whistle to blow for the eventual attack that was launched on the German lines there. A worthwhile visit.

Very good museum about the First World War and in particular the Battle of Arras. A guided tour, narrated in both French and English, takes you through a cave system where the history of the New Zealand soldiers is shown using films projected onto the cave walls using a projector. You also get a beautiful British “salad bowl” placed on your head. Definitely worth seeing

It is a nice place, well kept and our guide (Louise) was great. I just think the visit is a tad too long, which can be tiring for kids. I suggest keeping the visit under one hour, and potentially adding some more interactive elements. Silly things like having a place where kids can touch the walls and stones would go a long way in improving their experience. Still, a must-see in Arras!

The Wellington Tunnels are an amazing experience that is well priced and professionally run. Vincent our guide was amazing, he had us enthralled for the whole experience of the New Zealand tunnellers in WWI. This is a must do for all military enthusiasts.

This was great experience Pierre our guide was superb, he gave us a great insight as to what happened here in 1917. It was quite moving at times. the tour combines an audio commentary and the guides input, along with some lighting and sound effects to provide a fascinating tour of the caverns from which the soldiers emerged from the relative safety underground in to the heat of battle don't miss it.

A superbly presented experience of First World War history with a great mix of audiovisual presentation and in-person guide. The context of the site and time is well explained to allow the visitor to get the most from the experience. It was interesting to explore an aspect of First World War tactics I was less familiar with. Highly recommended.

Be sure to visit the Wellington Tunnels if you are in Arras. After a short tour above ground, you go down in a lift to the tunnels. From here there is an audio guide as well as information for the tour guide themselves. Both are highly informative and give real depth to the men who inhabited the tunnels prior to the spring offensive of 1917. A superb place to visit and extremely well presented.

We learned a lot and had an excellent guide who made sure our audio guides were working. He answered questions and did a great job of keeping it all interesting without any repetition. The videos and audios complemented the words of the guide very well. I didn't think there could be such a big space underground, even the claustrophobic girl in my class didn't feel too oppressed. At the end of the visit, there is also a short film to watch. PS: bring warm clothes since it is rather cold underground. (Original) C'est un lieu que j'ai visité avec ma classe. I enriched my culture on the war of 14/18 On the other hand, before COVID19 c was 7.20 € / person, now that you are alone or in pairs, it is 35 €. You have the guide for yourself. Personally, I would have preferred a PASS for the BEFFROI, Les Douves, the Town Hall, the cathedral, the citadel and the Wellington Quarry. I found the rate exorbitant.
