You must walk through a big souvenir shop just to get through the entrance to the Jordan River. I have been to thousands of attractions and never seen a souvenir shop at the entrance as mandatory to go through. On the other side, lineups of hundreds of people getting baptized, horses and colts near the water, and thousands of fish is interesting to see. Note the area for walking along the river is about 100 meters. You're not going to be here for more than half an hour unless partaking in a baptism.

During our tour in Israel, we had our water baptism at Jordan River. They gave us towel and white dress to change on so it will look nice in the photo. Each participant who did the water baptism received a Renewal of Baptism Certificate and can get a copy of the video during the ceremony.

The place was clean, the water was clear for swimming and so amazed with the large catfish in the river. Being here in Jordan river witnessing people being baptized was heaven for me. I was in tears while remembering my own baptism and my greatest confession of accepting God as my Lord and Savior in my life.
