Strongly recommend visiting. The ticket price for foreigners is 60 nis and 30 for locals (two way ride). The ride is approximately 6-8 minutes. There is a cafe/restaurant up there, also some shops for souvenirs. When taking the cable car, I recommend avoid middle one because you will get the worse view. Don’t forget to visit the church! It was an interesting visit but you will need to walk some stairs.

Great experience. Very nice, comfortable cable car, the view is beyond imagination. Best way to go up to the monastery (Mount of Temptation). Not exactly cheap but worth every penny. Don't miss it.

So much fun riding on the cable car. The reality is that the mountain is very high.

Ride Jericho’s famous cable car for spectacular views over Jericho, The Dead Sea and Jordan from the Mount of Temptation. Enjoy direct panoramic views over Jericho’s most important historical and archaeological sites that are visible along the cable car path including Elisha’s Spring, Ancient Jericho (Tel A-Sultran), The Sugar Mills and ending with a visit to the Monastery of Temptation. The cable car links Tel Jericho to the top of the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus Christ is said to have fasted for 40 days. The operating hours of the cable car are independent from the opening hours of the Monastery of Temptation.

It is a historic and safe place to visit, but you must be prepared for when you enter the shops to negotiate heavily for prices on items and they will all try to sell you glass ornaments, etc.

Visiting Jericho was the most amazing experience so glad we managed to go. The cable cart ride was so fun I didn't know they had that there. We didn't get to visit the Monestry since it was closed but the view was amazing. We had ice cream and snacks in the lil rooftop restaurant which was amazing.

Cable cars move very quickly, good thing because it is quite warm inside them. Also great photo ops, and pomegranate juice at the top was very refreshing. The vendor has some gorgeous items for sale, don’t miss the items in the cave, they are gorgeous and it is much cooler in there. Only drawback is i left my sunglasses on the cable car on the way up and the car left so fast I missed my only opportunity to get them back. When i got to the bottom they could not find them. I know i had them on the way up, i took them off to take photos and it was so warm i did not think to put them back on. Gone baby gone! And then they are found! Thank you so much, you are most kind !

Great view of Jericho from the cable car. Overall fun, but the Monastery of Temptation at the top closes at 2 pm on the weekends and without it open there is not a lot see. Go on a clear day for the best view.

Once up there, you get beautiful views on Jericho and the Jordan Valley. There are few shops, cafés and restaurants. The price - we are a family of 4 - is a little bit expensive. If you want to visit the Monestary, be sure to be there early (it closes at 15:00) although the cable car is open til late.

You've got a nice viele Front up there. Check beforehand that the church is open. It's really worth seeing it. Otherwise you have just the view and the snack Bar for 60 Shekel.

Quite area mostly locals and local visiting. Nothing much to do just take in an afternoon of high views and a challenging walk to the top monestery.

Our group felt it wasn’t worth the expense. We got to the top only to find all the attractions including the monistary were closed. The tram ride itself wasn’t very impressive. Time and money are better spent elsewhere.

It's a bit strange to find a cable car in the region. It's bigger sister you can board, going up the Masada fortresses-palace some 40 km to the south. The line is well maintained and provides an excellent way to view Jericho and the Jordan Valley. Another plus Upon reaching the top is the Karantal. A monastic enclave in the sheer rock face that is worth a look in itself. The mandatory giftshops and restaurants are at both ends.

👍👍 A beautiful view of the mountains that Christians believe Jesus and the devildevil debate there for forty days and the result is unknown. Don’t forget to visit the souvenir shop and drink some juice near the panorama. Easy to access. Nice scene.

👍 An AMAZING experience!!! I was thoroughly surprised on how natural the chicken was cooked. It definitely was not processed or injected like some countries. Definitely will return when the opportunity arises. Keep up the good work !
