This place has a good vibe but the service was terrible. They had a great jazz band playing. I would say the band's volume was perfect. From the video it seems loud but it was just right. I would give 2 stars because of the service but I saw some people's food and it looked really good. I waited around ten minutes at the bar and was basically ignored. There were 2 people tending the bar and when I went for my second round the bar tender asked me who I ordered from before. I told her she served me and then she said if it was him, you have to order from him. I reiterated I ordered from her previously and she reluctantly got my drinks. The glasses were warm which is a turn off when drinking a cold beer. So all in all pretty bad service in terms of timing and general cuatomer service. If the band was not there I probably would have left after standing for 10 minutes.

I love the space, I love the look. I like the staff. The food is good. Not a ton of variety, but different enough from standard pub food. Burger night is worth going to. The spicy mustard and super crisp pickles are awesome! I love them on my burger and the staff is so kind and gives me lots of extra pickles. The staff is really great.

Biased review since Bree, the owner, is a good friend. However, I wouldn't leave a review if I didn't think this bar was anything but awesome. The food is excellent and the drinks and cold beer is fantastic. Bree really cares about her business and takes good care of her patrons. Oh and there is always something fun going on such as a jazz band on Friday night. Do yourself a favor and go check it out. Bree bought the bar about a year ago.

This is chill neighborhood bar with some really good burgers! Mine had garlic hot sauce, sautéed onions, jalapeños, and was so good! They also have $6/$7 burger specials on Wednesdays. Only negative I will say is that I ordered a top shelf shot and I watched the bartender pour me a well alcohol, and still charged me for the top shelf. Moral of the story, watch your drinks. Food was good though, but I was disappointed with the drink situation. She wasn't rude so that's what made it even more confusing.

We ordered crab cakes, fried duck fries, smoked wings, house salad, potato and shrimp soup and lamb sliders to eat with a whiskey sour and an old fashion to drink. The smoked wings was really good with the duck fries. The soup and sliders lacked seasoning. The food is cooked really good but has no real flavor. The crab cakes came to the table before they got to the table (🤭). The crab cakes had a smell and they looked like they had more breading than crab ( not good),that was the only thing that was not good. The service and drinks were good and yes I will go back but not for the crab cakes. Oh yeah!! They have dart throwing and that was pretty fun to kill time and socialize.

Amazing chicken wings - and note that a wing is the whole drumstick and wing. Really friendly bartenders. A bit pricey but not any more so than the other bars in East Atlanta Village. I liked it a lot.

Updating my review based on my most recent visit (3 years since the last). The restaurant is under new ownership and the changes show in terms of service and food improvements. I'm excited to see where they go next. Happy to have this place back on my go-to list!

We have tried different options from the menu and everything has been phenomenal! The drinks are great and the atmosphere is super easy going! This has become our go to place for fish and chips. Next time we will probably try the Sunda brunch.

Great hole in the wall type of bar - great drinks, friendly, experienced bartenders, fun karaoke entertainment - no complaints at all. As we were about to leave, the staff insisted we take a last call shots of tasty, Blueberry Lemon Drops! Didn't get to try the food, but the menu looks good!

Went here for a board game night and had a blast. The atmosphere feels kinda instantly familiar like a quintessential, friendly neighborhood dive bar with good vibes, traditional bar food, and exceptional cocktails.

Service was friendly, food was great...except the fries. They were dark and soft. However, the fried pickles were the best I've had, and all the sauces / salad dressings seemed homemade. They were really tasty. Bathroom was grungy and out of toilet paper. There was a sign that welcomed guests to give feedback regarding the bathroom. I'd go back.

This is the greatest neighbor bar in East Atlanta. The service and food is perfection! Love the live jazz and comedy nights! What a lovely time spent! I’ll definitely be back!

I went in on a Wednesday and was having a bad week! A lady named kiki was my bartender! And let me say she is God sent. I feel bad that I turned her job into a therapy session! However she listened! Very thankful! The place was nice and chill I only got a beer but definitely will be back to visit and see my new therapist Ms Kiki, thank you!

We got there too late for food, but the drinks and customer service were top tier. I enjoyed watching everyone do karaoke. The Dj was very entertaining. Well definitely be back soon.

Came in today (Sunday afternoon). The owners were in. Bree made some great beer and food recommendations! I had The Horseshoe and it was freaking delicious! Chicken strips with colcannon...you can't go wrong! She even let me try it with some chili sauce and it was even better! My friend got the Bangers and Mash and they were phenomenal as well! Overall: great food, great people, and great atmosphere!

Hey! I’m not sure if everyone knows but East Atlanta Village’s Elder Tree is now woman owned and operated! Bree the third in the pic with the red hair now owns it! I just sat down at the bar and she is here running it! She’s so nice! Come out and support! Lets keep this place going! Tuesday poker! Wednesday game night (including trivia)! Thursday open night comedy! And the list keeps going! 🤘

Was in town for a work trip. Asked around for a good burger place and was sent to this pub. Tiny hole in the wall. Very laid back. Self seating so we grabbed a booth near the bar. We were asked to order at the bar, but they would bring everything to us. Burgers took a little long, but were pretty tasty. Happened to be standup comedy night and they were….awkward…but I won’t hold that against the pub.

This is an amazing place! The food is great, the employees are great, the decor and ambience reflects the irish pub flair. The menu has an interesting modern take on typical Irish pub fare, but the flavor is true to tradition. The bar has an incredible selection and even have great Non-Alcoholic options including fantastic mocktail recipes. I will definitely be going back. And often.

I really enjoyed my time here. Kimberly was Ana amazing waiter and the service was exceptional (we had a group of like 10). I had 2 shots (buttery nipple and green tea shooter) both were great! I also had the potato skins, which I still can’t stop thinking about and the hot teriyaki chilli wings (I think this was it).

This place has my favorite bartender in ATL. Kim makes the most delicious drinks and always has the best stories. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel welcome!

Come here every now and then since it's so close to my house. Hands down one of the best burgers you could ever get. Stop by and try the Red Devil on a Wed night or any night for that matter! Great place to place some games and have a drink.

I came to The Elder Tree on a karaoke night based on one heck of a word of mouth endorsement. I was not prepared for the absolute fantastic experience. I actually met the owners! Both of the owners were extremely nice and friendly, and the two bar tenders that were on shift that night were amazing! As a previous business owner, I was amazed how well they kept the bar and took care of all the customers. I was never but a small signal away from more drinks, and everybody was very professional and very efficient. I was delighted when one of the owners even sang a song for karaoke night! This is hands down one of my favorite bars to visit when I travel to Atlanta, and I absolutely cannot wait to go back! Excellent atmosphere! Fantastic staff! Oh.. I forgot to mention their drinks are normal and not over priced!!! Fun story: I actually complained to one of the owners, “clearly there must be a problem with my bill.. I was buying drinks for 4 people, surely you missed something…” the owner themselves went and checked, and nope, every single drink I bought was on the ticket, the bar tenders were on their game, it just turns out their drinks are reasonably and not over priced! What a delightful surprise come ‘Close out the check’ time! Pro tip: buy the karaoke DJ a beer, he’s a great dude and deserves a beer!! Seriously…. Going out for a good time? This is the place to be, I can’t wait for this to be an “Iconic Atlanta landmark” so I can say I was there in their early days!!! (Any way I can give them 6 stars?)

Your love for Irish pubs will be delightfully indulged by this terrific East Atlanta spot with all the things you love about such places: great beer, good atmosphere, and an excellent menu. Ploughman's lunch, bangers & mash, pub breakfast, corned beef & cabbage, and so much more. You like it? They have it. There's a fun patio area to watch the world go by and enjoy the afternoon sunshine, a large, well-stocked bar for socializing, and a couple of dartboards at which to indulge your competitive nature. Our recent visit was made even more enjoyable by our excellent server, Aidan, an extraordinary woman with a brilliant wit, a winning personality, and a disarming low-key presence that will warm the heart of even the most challenging of patrons. This is the place, y'all: highly recommended.

Came in for dinner and had the absolute best experience. The Irish cheddar dip was phenomenal and following that up with the shepherds pie I could now have been happier. Awesome environment and wonderful service!

Wow! Just happened to come across this place in the village and was pretty impressed. Brent, the bartender, was super attentive and turned on the Falcons game for me and my family! Do yourself a favor and get the Red Devil!

Former regular,, just came in for a beer since there are new owners. Staff is super friendly, and the food....WOW! They have an actual Chef running the kitchen and it's just top quality coming out of there. Just had chicken noodle soup and it was on par with my Abuela's! Looks like I'm a regular again

The quiet ambience and sparse attendance (no music, no television sounds despite many in the space) were initially very unsettling. However, the food was great! They still have the Cumberland Pie, but with corned beef and cabbage and lamb, but we haven’t found courage to brave it yet. New management was very nice and hospitable and seems to be finding their way and we’ll be back to see where they take it.

I’m always super surprised when a late night pub has good food; well this place had me wonderfully surprised. The smoked wings and drinks were superb. The chef, who I mistook for a server was also dope. He made our night!!! Fun night out thus far!

A must experience if you're any kind of foodie or spirits aficionado. Since new ownership this place is brilliantly evolved into a reason to get out of the house and enjoy an amazing atmosphere of laid back pleasantry, tucked away in the EAV. The food tastes like it was delivered from the heavens and cultivated with LOVE and Aphrodisia. Bartenders are easy and familiar with the menu unlike many places around Atlanta, where "they just work there" and dunno a hair. Originally I was out hunting for a steak dinner, but the bar crew convinced me and try a burger, and I wasn't expecting to ascend into the heavens with a foodgasm known as.. The Red Devil. Oh the irony, when I laid eyes on this dish descended from the heavens. I started with Corona and ended with a COVID CABANA PUNCH of delightful delivery. Other than a viciously delish menu, this bar offers Dart throwing on the regular with an eclectic mucic playlist and poker night Tuesdays. Interior decor is my type of clever cross between grunge and clean minimalist aesthetic, sporting in all of EAV.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
