I’ve been coming here for around a decade. My friend who was with us even got married there. During the pandemic, I came here at least twice each week. In my opinion, the prices have gone up and the food quality has declined over the years. The beer is excellent still, but getting much pricier. The reason for the low review is based on both the above and my most recent experience, which was very poor on the part of the restaurant. My friend ordered the $24 trout that was to come with assorted vegetables, and he received a pitifully small 1/2 of a trout and almost nothing else on the plate. When we asked the runner (who I believe is a manager) where the vegetables that were mentioned on the menu were and why the fish was so small, the server told us it was a petite entree…. Hard not to laugh at that given its location on the menu and the price. No explanation on the missing vegetables or suggested accommodation. I think they ran out of vegetables, which is fine, but the response to us that it was apparently our fault for 1) expecting an entree to be a regular entree vs a petit entree (LMFAO) and to have what was listed on the menu accompanying it, was absurd. I think this would amount to an appropriate use of the term: gaslighting. They brought us a side of french fries ONLY after being insistent in questioning the issue of missing vegetables… So, they reluctantly tried, I guess? But, then charged for the fries hahaha. We asked and they took the charge off. Why not just offer to bring us a complimentary side salad or more vegetables? The response was both rude and laughable. And damn, we’re regulars… can’t imagine they would have treated others any better. Anyway, bottom line is that this place has gotten much higher in price and lower in quality compared to other restaurants in the area. That would have been OK had it not been for the gaslighting on the “petit” entree. Save your money and enjoy somewhere else and just grab a 4-pack to go from this gastro pub until things improve.

Awesome brewery, pretty good beer. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t have any of the food but the menu looked nice! The space is really unique and we’d love to come back and visit the next time we’re in ATL!

Great spot for a casual night out. The vibes here are really cool and it feels like a fancy brewery. Very COVID friendly as the tables were all spread apart and the staff all wore masks. The food was way better than I expected. I got the falafel burger with a side of Mac and cheese and I'd definitely order it again next time. The burger had a lot more flavor than falafels typically do and the patty was huge and fills you up. Love the drink menu as well- they had a good assortment of unique beers that I don't normally see at other places.

This was on our list of places to visit based on recommendations and they were not wrong. Definitely a cool atmosphere in the basement of an old Victorian. I had never seen a pre-set flight but it didn't steer us wrong. Their helles and schwarbier were very good! Burger and schnitzel sandwich also great but overshadowed by the fries, which were fantastic. Think Outback but better. If you're in the area, a must go.

Update: Great space for a fun evening. Started with the White Cheddar Fondue. Good portion, plenty to share between 3-4 people. I had the GA Trout. My friends had the Crispy Cod and the Apple Butter Grilled Cheese. We all left full and happy. Original: Pricey, but good drinks and food. Be ready to spend for your good time. We had the fries and a meat tray. Would order both again. Beautiful environment. Very nice staff.

Super enjoyable lunch outing at Wrecking Bar Brewpub. We started off with charcuterie and some light shareable plates, followed by delicious individual mains. Would definitely recommend trying something you won't normally try - the flavors will be more than worth it. Get there early as parking is limited.

Good food and beer... too bad there was a rat crawling around inside. From the other reviews, it looks like they know about this issue but clearly haven’t fixed it yet. But who knows, I’ve seen Ratatouille... maybe it was the chef.

Excellent selection of a variety of beer styles. I had a flight and reach one was exceptional. The food was even better. For of us had different dishes and all were impressed. My crunchy cod sandwich was cooked well and crunchy as advertised. The fries were also great.

This has been one of my favorite places in Atlanta for a long time and I can’t believe I have yet to write a review. An easy TL;DR… the beers are incredible. The corn pups cannot be missed. And the pastrami must be experienced first hand.

Really enjoyed my experience at this pub. Feels like an old school lived in pub. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh local and felt like was made with care. And everything was homemade except the ketchup (which I think is a home run!). Really happy also this place participants in the Georgia organics program. I know I can come to this establishment with the comfort that they work hard to be apart of the local agricultural community. Using the best freshest ingredients offered.

We’ve been going to Wrecking Bar (the restaurant and brewpub) since we moved to Atlanta nearly 10 years ago and it’s our absolute favorite spot in the city. From the cozy digs to the phenomenal brews, you can’t beat it—for a date night, girl’s night, quick drink at the bar, ANY occasion. But we recently hosted our engagement party upstairs at the Marianna and I can’t recommend WB as a venue enough. We are eloping out of state, but I also envisioned a Wrecking Bar rehearsal dinner, so it was the easiest decision ever when we decided to have a party before the big day to celebrate with loved ones. Katy was so helpful and great to work with. She was patient with my million questions. The venue barely needs any decor because it already has so much character. The food was incredible. People are STILL talking about the pretzel bites. Overall, I couldn’t be happier. This place is so special to us, and now we have even more reasons to continue making it our go-to spot.

Oh man, what an amazing recommendation from the rad people at Monk's Meadery. Let me ask you something... Do you like fries? Because you will get ALL OF THE FRIES. Every last one of them. I do prefer a not creamy, viniagar based dip, but man they don't need anything. OK, the charcuterie. FINALLY. Proper serving temperature. Every meat was local and had a reason to be there. Thoughtful selection of cheeses. I was gifted a birthday dessert! It was like a upmarket kitcat, crispy, chocolatey, amazing. Thank you so much!! The beer. Excelent selection of well made craft beer. Get the IPA. Really fun time, great staff. Will repeat. And most importantly, say hi to Tina the beer cat! 🙀 🍻 She will greet you upon entering.

What an awesome place. This 100 year old mansion basement is no joke. Insane brews with next level food and outstanding service is why they get 5 stars. My wife and I stopped for lunch after 8 hours of road tripping and were greeted like family here. The boiled peanuts and your brew is the way to start off, perfectly cooked peanuts with amazing flavor. I rolled with the OG burger, spot on flavors and excellent fries. My bride took down the pork schnitzel real deal crispy pork, covered with pickled red cabbage on a toasted bun with a beer-lemon Dijon. Super service and delicious food is right here. Can’t wait to come back and if you’re close you should check it out. ✌️😎

Great space with a cool vibe. Love all the brick. Service is excellent, bartenders are very knowledgeable. Food was also excellent. I had the Bruce Willis: Gold Watch IPA, apple butter grilled cheese, and all batch double rainbros raspberry sherbet ale. All fantastic choices.

  • 5/5 Anna K. 4 months ago on Google • 40 reviews
Unique rustic atmosphere reminiscent of a dim English pub, with a pub cat and homemade beer 🍻 Hubs had the strong beer flight, which had a rich depth of flavor and very high ABV. I had the cookie porter, which was incredible for a cold early winter evening. We shared a schnitzel sandwich (the kitchen split it for us, nice touch!) and added the dipping sauces (recommend!) to the fries. Great spot with SO much character, will definitely bring out of towners here for a brew next time we have visitors. Staff could not be nicer! Parking is a bit meh- the lot is tiny, but there’s usually parking on the L5P side streets.

Wow. Absolutely impressive. The service, the drinks, the food… all way above par. I’m a sangria snob. Best sangria I’ve ever had. The food was outstanding. We ended up cutting in half and sharing because we both loved ours so much we had to share! We got the burger and grilled cheese. Do yourself a favor and come on over.

This place is great ! Got here about an hour before closing and they gave us a flash menu. Got out drinks and food super quick and was able to eat and get out in time ! Food and drinks were great, definitely worth checking out !

The food was okay, it is a very trendy place and that means large volume of food coming out of the kitchen. It was nothing special, and since I don't drink the local beers had no appeal to me. I remember when this was the site of architectural antiques, and the Brew pub has expanded greatly since starting. They have sustainable options, they have a farm in Gwinnett that supplies many of their needs. I need to try this place when it isn't so busy to see what they can really do.

  • 5/5 Daniel B. 4 years ago on Google
Very much enjoyed the environment and the drinks here. The bar is quiet in the sense that there isn’t music playing and you can actually hear and enjoy the people you’re with. I wish I would’ve tried their beer, but enjoyed the cocktails we ordered. I will definitely come back here.

I have been driving by this place for years without ever really noticing it, but decided to go on a whim one day. I’m so glad I did, because this is one of my go-to places now! The drinks are strong and delicious, and the food is always fresh and tasty. The servers are always extremely kind and fast, and the vibe of the restaurant is really warm and inviting, while also being laid back. I have come here in a dress and high heels, but also in Nike shorts and my boyfriend’s hoodie. Either way, I’m greeted with the same respect and kindness and a delicious experience every single time. Also, download the Seated app to get 17% cash back on your purchase here :)

  • 5/5 Cooper P. 4 years ago on Google
The food is always good, prepared from fresh farm to table ingredients. The service is impeccable beyond what you would expect from a brewpub or casual restaurant. Then, there is the full service bar with a great selection of bourbon and scotch whiskeys, not to mention the primary focus of the collection of freshly brewed beers. Good times are to be had, and experiences to cherish and remember.

Phenomenal beer and food. The gnocchi primavera was to die for. The falafel burger was also amazing. Love they get so many of their veggies from their farm and love the CSA!

This place is the total package. It perfectly balances the classiness and food quality of a high end restaurant with the jovial atmosphere and menu of a neighborhood pub. The waitstaff is courteous, unobtrusive, and efficient. These folks have food service down to a science, which delivers a reliably wonderful experience every visit.

Happy to have visited for the first time last Friday. We sat at an outdoor table near the front of the building. Service was good. Food and drinks were tasty. They’re doing an excellent job of making the best of a difficult situation.

  • 5/5 Maria-Ximena V. 3 years ago on Google
Their burger is delicious. They use white oak farms which is an ethical farm; you can taste the difference. Their CSA is great and their beer selection is excellent (they make their own!). The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. If you are in Inman park, I would highly recommend and the prices aren’t too bad!

  • 5/5 Michelle P. 3 years ago on Google
I come here often and literally am never disappointed. This place is a gem and the entire package. Casual beer after work? Fancy date night? Wrecking Bar can do both. The beer selection is always changing and growing. The food is beyond impressive. They are well seeded in the Atlanta Farming Community (even having their own farm) so you know you’re eating fresh and local. Great comfort food selection (I recommend their fries and Reuben) or there is always something new and unique to try. Pictured here is their watermelon salad and chanterelle toast. Incredible!

Located just a block south of Little Five Points, this is a great place to try bar food taken to the next level while enjoying the opportunity to sample very unique beers. As far as brewpubs go, this place is definitely near the top. Most of the beers I've had have been very well balanced and full of flavor. The chef team does a great job of collaborating with the brewers to pair dishes with beers. My personal favorites are the sandwich offerings, specifically the Reuben. Check it out!

I reserved a big table for brunch here and brought a group of friends. The service, the food, the building itself could not have been better. The farm to table foods combined with the onsite microbrew in a historic building is not a combination you can find anywhere else in Atlanta. I like to eat really healthy and then drink too much. It's my consumption happy place, and Wrecking Bar is the ultimate expression of healthy eating and beer/cocktail indulgence pairing! Just go.

  • 5/5 Bodie O. 4 years ago on Google
This place is always good. They have a rotating menu, and they have locally brewed beer. And when I say locally brewed I mean they brew their own beer. They seem to have fun with it and that's why I like about this place. Services is good too. It's one of the few places that I can consistently get a good meal in Atlanta.

The pastrami was excellent flavor but not enough meat. Pork belly delicious flavor but chewy. They were Sold out of their custom corn dogs - so disappointing 😢; why and how do you run out of your most popular menu item? Overall, this restaurant is overrated with hype from TV Show Triple D. The pastrami sandwich had kimchi collard greens that didn’t taste like kimchi and didn’t make any sense in a pastrami sandwich. My wife liked her 3 salad/steak dish. Honestly, the food didn’t live up to the hype but the space is fantastic. The stone walls, paintings, and the lights made me very comfortable and I left happy, despite the food being just ok and a little too expensive for what you get.

Really cool space. Renovated old building turned into a bar/restaurant. I stopped in with a friend of mine for dinner/drinks. The tables both inside and out were plenty spaced apart. All staff wearing masks and gloves. Lots of cleaning/sanitizing. I got a couple different beers. Our server was happy to get us some samples before having to make a choice, but they also offer pre-made flights. Every beer that I tasted was good if not great. Its a great local place and you cant find those beers anywhere else. My friend got the burger which was gorgeous and while I only got a taste, can tell you that it was delicious. 10/10 recommend giving them a shot.

I felt cheated with the charcuterie board because it was so much smaller compared to the pictures the earlier reviews. It was good but not worth $32. The WB Pimento was great but grilled sourdough to eat them with were a little hard. My husband really enjoyed the charred octopus and highly recommends it. Their drinks were no doubt amazing, hats off to the bartender! Our server was just absolutely the best...very attentive and personable.

One of my favourites in ATL the beers are amazing, service is great and the food is just to die for I really love this place. Went for the octopus which was very nicely charbroiled and grilled (good level of smoke) then we have the code burger with a refreshing tartar sauce and the beef pastrami sandwich which was to die for although a tad too greasy but still amazing. Also very dog 🐶 friendly which was great for our Bull god Rocco! Will be back thanks for everything. B

Best food I have had in the state of Georgia. And that's saying a LOT... I have been places in GA exclusively for food stops. At first I was wary of going so far out of where our conference was based, but the difficulty of getting there without a car? Totally worth it. The service was stellar and drinks were excellent, and the food... omg the food was fabulous! We had the pimento cheese, the roasted cauliflower, and I had the meat and three steak salad. Everything was delicious. (Bonus: I left something there and they were super about getting it back to me.) Next time I am in Atlanta, I am totally coming back. Oh and great atmosphere too! Five stars earned.

Wrecking bar is the perfect blend of a cool venue (cellar of a historic mansion), excellent food, and creative but delicious beer that's brewed in-house. Whether looking for drinks or a full meal with table service, I definitely recommend giving this a try.

This place is my forever number one spot in Atlanta. When we moved here in 2016 it was the first place we ate, when we moved back to NJ in 2020 it was the last place we had dinner and when I come down to Atlanta for work these days it’s a must stop for me. Incredible food, awesome beer and creative cocktails. Don’t think, just go.

Awesome atmosphere, great beer selection although I wish they had a red ale. Only a few main meals but delicious especially the ribeye steak. Limited on-site parking but street parking easy to find close by. Our waiter greeted us with "welcome to wrecking bar brewpub ... where everyday is a special holiday."

Ridiculously delicious! EVERY thing we had was excellent from the beer to the cocktails, the appetizers to the main courses- it was all done perfectly. The evening spent here was the best possible ending to our vacation- next time we come down to Atlanta this will definitely be on our must-do list.

Service was a little slow, but there was a large private event. We had a ~40 min wait, but took about an hour to get entrees. We weren’t in a rush so it was fine. 10000% order the mussels, and dip whatever entree you order in the sauce. They are 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 We literally sopped our burger in the mussel sauce. Cocktails were great too and reasonably priced.

Great fries as well as shishito peppers, both made better with their dipping sauces. Non-alcoholic options are good. Wish the broth for the mussels had a little more flavor to it, maybe lemongrass or something similar but still enjoyable as a whole. Would return to try more of the menu.

Cool vibes, friendly service, indoor & outdoor seating, extensive rotating beer tap list, and excellent elevated bar food. The main dishes are seasonal and portions are generous!

One of the few breweries in Atlanta that have delicious food to go along with the variety of beers. In addition to the usual burgers and sandwiches, this place also has great appetizers like charred octopus and farmhouse cheese plate and elevated entrees.

Very cool vibe and cool decor. Old haunt feel, with great service and some very cool menu items. Incredibly extensive beer and cocktail list; something for everyone. Local sourced ingredients for tasty eats. We got the Burger and Apple Butter Grilled Cheese. A cool hangout spot without pretension.

Went there with my brother a few weeks ago and had to go back within a week before I flew back home because Kyle’s whiskey sours are the bees knees! 👌🏼 They’re seriously the best in town, liquid magic. The whole bar staff provides fantastic service and delicious cocktails, the atmosphere is so warm and cozy. Their beers are good too! Next time I’ll make sure to go hungry so I can try the food.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
