One amazing coffee shop if you are ever in Atlanta. It’s not very central but worth the drive. The coffee shop has some amazing things to buy which I believe is all local artist around the area. The thing I loved about the place is the big area of a place to come and do work. They have power outlets everywhere to keep your laptop going. I had a great mocha with one delicious spinach patty. For sure to recommend, a great spot to do work away from home. Cheers, BN

First off, the food and coffee was pretty solid. That being said, there were a few things that were particularly not so great. I walked in, and the employees were chatting it up without masks pulled up, but then made me put one on to order. Not the biggest deal, but felt a bit silly. The real problems were when I went to pay, and their tipping amounts were guilting customers into tipping upwards of 50%. I get supporting small businesses, but when your minimum tip option is already above the “norm” of 20%, it feels like they are pressuring their clientele. Then, when my drinks were ready, they didn’t even call anything out. I had to realize the drinks were probably mine, and go up to ask. I was not happy with my experience. The only saving grace was that the coffee and food was decent.

This place is very cute and gives cool vibes on the inside! I got an Irish cream iced latte and it was delicious. The only thing that prevented me from giving it five stars is the fact that the tables weren’t cleaned at any point during the time I was there and the coffee is a bit overpriced. My iced latte was about $8 which is more than comparable places for a medium sized drink.

It's great that they have vegan options (plant-based milks, vegan cookie, pineapple banana bread, spinach patty), but I was not at all impressed with my drink. I got a hot soy matcha latte. I asked for them to sweeten it with simple syrup, and they left it out. They also got matcha all over the cup. :(

This was my first time at Hodgepodge Coffeehouse. I came here looking for a local study / workplace. I came on a Friday at 5 pm. It was not crowded and the atmosphere was extremely welcoming. There is an open space with a lot of seating, tables, and wall outlets. Fairly quiet environment with large window front looking the street. I decided to order a beverage and although I do not drink coffee they had other beverage options as well as pastries. I ordered a ginger beer and the cashier recommended other additions. I decided on the ginger beer and green tea mixture and it was phenomenal! I will definitely return to this location.

Environment is super friendly, and I feel very welcome here. The staff is always nice and the drinks are always good. There’s plenty of places to sit and it’s quite enough that you can get some work done. The OH honey latte and cinnamon cake were delicious!

Stopped by place coffee shop for the first time. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. I ordered an iced French vanilla Chai tea latte with oak milk. Their Chai has a nice spice to it. Would definitely stop by again.

The service, drinks, and food are very good! Fun options for seasonal drinks. There are some things from local artists and jewelry makers for sale as well. The parking lot is attached and usually provides ample space but is better for smaller cars. There is a lot of indoor seating with big tables and some outdoor seating with smaller tables.

Coffee: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Good cafe overall. Coffee was okay, you may need to adjust the coffee to your liking. Plenty of seating for you and a group. Boardgames available. Plenty of parking.

My 2nd favorite coffee shop in Atlanta! Amazing staff and exceptional drinks with a communal atmosphere. Stop by soon, as they'll be closing up for good at the end of the year. Unfortunately, gentrification is pricing them out. Please support this wonderful local business while you can!

Cute little coffee shop that aims to be a community space. Wifi, free water, and plenty of seating are available. Local art and crafts are available for purchase along with house made baked goods and quality espresso drinks. Traditional drinks are offered as well as house made lemonade, chai, ginger beer, and flavor syrups like lavender and rose. A queer friendly space, get tasty treats and quality drinks!

Tried a few times to like this place since I live nearby. This time I ordered ahead online and still waited 30 mins for a burnt bagel and 2 unsatisfying coffees for $20. There was no line and workers moved incredibly slow. I had to go home to make my own coffee. Save yourself the overpriced subpar menu.

We live in the neighborhood and have tried to love this place. But, the staff are cold, aloof, don’t seem to care about customers(which is weird, since it is a “people” business), the coffee is done right(maybe 40% of the time) and the wait is soooooo long. I’ve left several times because waiting 30 min for a latte is pitiful. Huge opportunity to be a great local spot, but, their culture and lack of desire to produce anything of quality ruins that aspiration. Also, they have a huge space that is completely unused. The reason; citing dangerous pandemic conditions. News Flash, it’s all ok! I repeatedly drive to far better coffee shops every day. Cmon HP, care.

My Oh Honey latte was good but rather overpriced. My boyfriend wanted regular drip coffee and they didn't have any. The dining room is still closed and masks are required, which is completely fine but when my boyfriend pulled his mask down to have a bite of his pastry while we waited off to the side, the barista yelled at us to keep our masks up.... there was no one within 10-15 feet radius of us.... it just seemed silly since he kept his mask on, he only moved it down. We'll be sure to take our business elsewhere next time if that's how customers are treated.

Fantastic coffee shop. Fair prices and super nice baristas as well as delicious drinks of course. I ordered a vanilla soy chai latte and I drowned it. So tasty and better than starb$ if you know what I mean. If you pass by you should stop in! They have a parking lot and market as well

Very friendly and nice energy coming from here. Bring a mask or if you don’t have one they have some at the door and it is required to order at the counter. The light house coffee is smooth and quite delightful. I can’t wait to try the pastries and empanadas!

We loved Hodgepodge so much that we went twice the same day while staying in Atlanta with family. I had both the lavender and the rose lattes because the syrups are made in house--highly, highly recommend. I wish that we had something similar where I live! The staff were great about making recommendations and transparent about what is made in-house. The environment is great--they have some merchandise that you can look at while waiting for you coffee. They also have some delicious Jamaican patties--I recommend the chicken curry if you're lucky enough to get there before they sell out. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in town.

I love the atmosphere and the coffee at hodgepodge. I live right next door so naturally hodgepodge is my go to, but as of late, the service there is so apathetic, unwelcoming, and indifferent to the point that when I enter to order it already seems like I am an inconvenience to the staff. An unapologetically uncaring staff meets long wait times for coffee, then I’m stuck paying $10 for a coffee and waiting 10 minutes for it to arrive. It sucks because it’s my neighborhood coffee shop, but the moment I enter I can hear the staff’s sighs as if they’re angry another customer is entering.

Wonderful people, always excellent customer service and friendliness to all with great causes represented and a sense of community with fun touches. Drinks are a bit limited of a menu, but the food case is solid. Atmosphere I'd give five stars if not for multiple items they've needed to fix for months.

A cool little spot! Lots of vegan and other alternative options. The names of the drinks are clever. The banana bread was vegan (not a requirement for me) and it was so moist and delicious!

Great coffee shop in East Atlanta Village. I loved their rice krispy treat and as coffee addicts, my girlfriend said their coffee was in the top 5 of all time, that says a lot! Great curbside pickup option as well. Fast, clean and friendly. Can’t wait to visit here again!

The best neighborhood coffee shop there is. Employees are always friendly and helpful. The whole menu of coffee and non-coffee drinks is delicious. And those Jamaican patties 🤤

  • 5/5 Daniel M. 2 years ago on Google
Such a cute place!!! Staff is fast and friendly, coffee is fantastic, and (if this is the right location) there is a free food pantry outside (WITH A FRIDGE!!) for those in need! Cute art for sale inside, too. There's a pretty spacious seating area inside that looks cozy, but it's currently barricaded due to COVID. There are a couple seats outside though. Can't wait till the pandemic is under control so I can safely go hang out at Hodgepodge 🥰

The turkey sandwich and chips was delicious. Usually I wouldn't pay $11 for a sandwich and chips but the sandwich was heated/toasted and the mayonnaise was a homemade blend and it was also delicious and then put the mayo on the sandwich= scrumptious and stupid good 😁 at the time their ac wasn't working so it was kinda hot in the one sitting area and that's only reason I put 4 stars for atmosphere instead of 5 🙂

  • 3/5 Linda J. 2 years ago on Google
Small coffee place. Good selection of baked goods and patties. Coffee and drinks were average. No in dining seating at this time.

  • 4/5 robert h. 2 years ago on Google
So, this place is somewhat of an anomaly. I think I like it mainly because the coffee is good, the signature drinks are actually unique, and they are actively involved in good-for-the-area causes. That said, the atmosphere is somewhat sparse--there is character but it lacks coziness, perhaps due to COVID.

The coffee here is amazing and the food is delicious too (Jamaican patties). The service is sooooo slow. On the weekends you can expect to wait 15+ minutes for a single coffee order. It's also very expensive for a neighborhood coffee shop.

The coffee was really good, and they even have some vegan food options! It's a really cute place too! My only complaints are that it was super hot inside, and it was hard to find seating near an outlet.

First time at Hodgepodge and I ordered a 16oz OH Honey, it's a honey & vanilla latte. It was a very good cup of coffee. Definitely a must try. It was a cute little coffee shop with a variety of pastries and coffees to pick from. Go try them out. Very friendly too.

I love Hodgepodge! The staff are personable and the drinks are delightful. I personally recommend the chai ☕(hot or iced), the Oh Honey 🍯, and their patties are pretty good too. One thing I really love is that the cafe truly feels like a part of the community.

I came here to pass some time before a flight. My idea going in was to get some work done (brought my laptop), but was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a local art show going on. I was able to chat with a couple of great local artists and even purchased a few things. The coffee was great. Spent about $6.50 on an iced coffee. Loved the atmosphere of the place. Will absolutely return in the future should I be in the area again.

They have parking at the back side of the building. There is plenty of space inside to sit and work, hangout with friends and I loved the vibe! The barista was super nice and we could chose the syrups we'd like to be added onto the coffee. I had the iced coffee with rose syrup and it was amazing! Will definitely go again.

Been in Decatur for over two years but I just now visited this shop for the first time and I mean it when I say that I wish I had gone sooner! This place is so wonderful and inviting. I stopped in after they popped up on my search for where to purchase coffee beans from a black-owned business and of course had to pick up a drink to go. They have all the standard options you would expect but also have quite a few drinks unique to them. I tried the Mocha Caliente with oat milk and it is chef's kiss for sure; definitely would recommend! I did not catch the name of the amazon of a barista but she was absolutely lovely and it was a pleasure chatting it up with you after a long day of work. Will be back soon!

Definitely one of my favorite coffee places in Atlanta. It feels extremely authentic - not pretentious at all. The exterior always has socially conscious art and murals. The inside has some really nice local artwork available for purchase. The chocolate chip cookie is delicious. And the latte is also really tasty. The space itself is extremely roomy with high ceilings.
