Wow first time coming to this restaurant that opened at the ocean casino and I was extremely impressed with the service and the environment n experience everything was a 10/10 the food was so pretty and delicious so were the drinks the servers are so nice I love every moment of being here with the family they also sing happy birthday to my husband and brought a leis which was so cute everyone came around and sing happy birthday. food came out super fast every time we have been there just overall everything was a 10/10 will definitely go back every time I go to stay at the casino.

I ordered a veggie egg white omelette and requested very very little cheese. Unfortunately my omelet was inedible as they put way too much cheese in my omelette. The turkey sausage taste rubbery like they microwaved it. The fruit salad was okay. I would recommend not to order anything that is not on the menu. I asked for the omelette as I was looking for a healthier option that was not on the menu.

Makai restaurant is such a stunning and easy on the eyes. This is a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had brunch there and it food was definitely a hit. The pretty flowers on the plates and the cute star fruit on the passion fruit mimosa was definitely a sweet touch to the experience. The ambiance was very chill and the server was the sweetest. This is the place for a family or couples just wanting to have good food and experience.

My wife and I had a phenomenal experience here over the weekend; and I really wanted to share. Having checked out of our room on Saturday (after a very late night playing table games), we were both hurting a bit and I was really craving some breakfast food and a Bloody Mary. We met Eric (the bartender on staff)… and he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The drink was very good (garnished with bacon!) (I ended up grabbing two), and he went through a whole selection of teas for my wife to help her recover. Also he recommended the Maitake Mushroom Toast.... which.... was... AWESOME. If you like mushrooms, add that to your bucket list. Unbelievably good. Didn't have a ton of other interactions with staff, but everybody was very friendly on those encounters. Ordered a western omelet as well which exceeded expectations. My only regret was not having enough of an appetite to try more of the interesting items on their menu. We will definitely be back next time we visit for both the food and excellent customer service. Our visit was definitely one of the highlights from our weekend getaway. Thanks for the great experience!

Let me start off by saying this restaurant is personally my favorite and in my opinion, the best restaurant in oceans resorts casino. The atmosphere feels very nice and upscale, because it sits right next to these big windows that have this wonderful sight of the ocean. Food wise this place was amazing. I went for two days during my stay and both went for breakfast. I had the steak and eggs which were really good, but what took the cake was their Kalula pork and eggs. It was by far one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Really good sized portion too. Their cocktails are pretty good and their menu is sizable. I’m really looking forward to my next visit! Staff was also very friendly and made me feel welcomed.

Was here recently and we wanted brunch so we came here. The food was good and our server is a sweetheart. Giving 5 stars because of her. She was very attentive and when we asked for recommendations she would tell us what was most ordered and what she prefers. Help guides us on ordering what we all wanted. She kept the coffee coming. Going to be back soon since. The Maitake mushroom Toast was so good. The view overlooking the ocean was so relaxing.

Makai is a beautiful, brunch spot inside Atlantic City's Ocean Resort Hotel and Casino with some of the most breathtaking, panoramic views of the ocean and beach that AC offers. Makai is family friendly with traditional and Hawaiian inspired brunch dishes. It's the perfect place to start your morning with a casual, clean, fulfilling meal. I highly recommend the chicken satay -which was juicy and tender. I would definitely visit Makai again.

The First time i came here I was turned away for trying to order food to go since "the guy who packs food was sick." I don't even know what that means. This time, I had low hopes and they were met. Ordered the chicken satay skewer and half of the chicken was raw, but didn't really notice until I ate 2 skewers. Also they were very salty and the coleslaw that came with it shouldn't have. Together it was salty and sour which was extra gross. Cesar salad was drenched in dressing. I guess some people like salad to swim in the dressing? The Hawaiian breakfast was good, and basically the only thing that saved this review from 1 star. Service was ok when you got it, but I saw maybe 10 different servers working the room, however you would not see any of them unless they were bringing out something from the kitchen, and then they go back in there and hide. Don't think I will give it a 3rd try.

We came here on 2 different trips to AC. We ordered the fish tacos for an appetizer and the Salmon and Hawaiian burger as our main dishes. All 3 were great. The next time we cam we ordered the rib appetizer, the Hawaiian burger (definitely recommend this) and the half chicken. The chicken was good not great, I probably wouldn't order it again but everything else was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The portions of food were actually shareable which was nice & the food was very tasty. The host was friendly & made us feel welcome. However, I am giving this restaurant 4 stars because the server was very short with words & we had to wave him down while he was chatting with the other servers, several times. I get it, this restaurant is located inside of a casino building but that shouldn’t stop a waiter from making a party of 6 whom are actually there to celebrate a birthday, feel welcomed. It was our first time here & we didn’t even have dessert, chose to have that somewhere else. The server made us feel like we were interrupting him. The gentleman who brought out the food, was very friendly & should be a server. The way your waiter makes your guests feel will play a huge roll in their return.

Jonathan our waiter was top-notch, professional and friendly while providing great advice on drinks and dinner. The Poke Bowl was delicious and the Kalua Pork was really tasty. The 7 Island Martini was wonderful.

Simply Delicious! I ordered the Kalua Pork and Eggs. If you eat pork you will love it. The customer service was amazing as well as the ambience.

One of the best restaurants in AC and Ocean resort! My wife and I stayed at Ocean Resort for the first time in Jan 2023. We walked by this restaurant twice on the way to Starbucks and gave it a try for brunch our last day and OMG I am mad we did not have dinner there at least once. Two Words: FRENCH TOAST!! It was almost like cinnamon rolls/fluffy brioche/dessert! It was so delicious! Our waiter said people travel for the French toast and I thought he was exaggerating until I tasted it! Also they have this slow roasted pork that was so tender and flavorful…it melted in my mouth like butter. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

I had breakfast here. I sat at the bar. The food was amazing and the service by Jimmy was nothing short of perfect! I had the bacon and cheese omelet and a side of Spam! My food came fast and Jimmy checked on me regularly. I will eat here again for sure. Prices were reasonable also.

This is the place to eat for breakfast if you're at the ocean casino, I would recommend the western omelette. The prices are fair considering you're in the casino. The same meal upstairs at the other restaurant is twice as much.
