Something is not going well in this place. Our breakfast was horrible 😁. We asked for tipical English breakfast (the one for $23, the served us the one $30 by mistake… it didn’t help much lol ), tomatos flavourless, presentation was like everything separated, no garnish or similar… at pepper sprinkled around lol and the poached eggs! Really bad, 😂 we ended up laughing at it cause, our ones cooked at home get better 😆we learnt from YouTube … It is the worst breakfast we have had in Auckland. And we have been in several places … our beloved Mount Eden is way better, Kingsland, K-road, Saint Heliers, Mission Bay, The Harbour …anyway, hash browns were tasty as fries potatoes never fail. It is so so ashame that a beautiful location doesn’t offer great breakfast 😞 At the end of the day, we feel for the owner, cause… we know that it is not easy to get a good chef, but … a quick YouTube training is free!! We wanted our money back, but why bother… we were hungry anyway

My friend and I came to Franc's one evening and I ordered the chicken waffles - it was the first time I had something like this, I have to say, it was very sweet as it came with maple syrup and cream. I did however enjoy it! but I don't think I'd order it again. We also ordered some jalapeno poppers (soooo delicious) and we ordered the choc brownie smores thing which was really yum but it was again, very sweet! The waitresses were also super nice! I really appreciated their helpful service!

Had a great Friday date night with my wife at Franc's. Perfect service from Ella B who knew the menu and helped us select the fish tacos, prawns and salmon along with squid rings. The manager Andrew was helpful and made sure everything was 100% Definitely worth a trip and another one to come

Really enjoyed our meal. Staff were lovely even when we split the payment 4 ways. The food was really pleasant. Cocktails were also different and looked lovely.

Cute spot for quick lunch or drinks. The vibe is amazing. I highly recommend sliders and tacos . Located just by the Takapuna beach . Parking can be difficult In this area so probably park under paid car parks and walk to the beach .

A wonderful date night dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but staff were super accommodating and service was great. Ordered tiger prawns, crispy chicken & waffles and nacho bowl. Delicious food and a great evening. Will definitely be back!

Takeaway - Presentation of the food didn't look appealing, burger looked like there is nothing else but patties and a bun, but that first bite of my burger, yummmmmmy. Delicious tasting patties. Would I pay the price again for the burger, nope. $30.9 double patty not worth it IMO. Would I go and try the other food on the menu, yep, I can't judge the place with only trying 2 things on the menu.

First time to dine here, greeted warmly by staff on entering. The place was slick n span, orders came quick and food was delish. Would love to try other offerings on the menu. Will definitely come back again on a weekday.

Good "pub grub". Have been to Franc's a few times now and the food is some times hit or miss but overall pleasant. Today's chicken and waffles were very sweet but tasty. Big brekke wasn't exactly your classic but was a very generous plate of food.

Francs has a great selection of food and cocktails. Had the board and s'more brownie. The dessert could've done with more cream but otherwise delicious. They have paid parking right next door with card or app only payment options.

Went here with a friend on a first table booking and the place was pumpin’ for a Tuesday evening! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Service was 10/10 and so was the food. Would definitely recommend coming here, and full price would absolutely be worth it.

From the minute we arrived, the whole time we dined, the extra level of customer care was so awesome, it was abit hot & they made a change to the temperature (I think by turning some lights off), I am pregnant so was offered a different chair & cushion. * Food & Drinks - Just bang on delish! The Salmon & Veg was the best I've had dining out, the apple pie was mouth watering!!. We had a table booked for 12 I think & the food was brought out on big platters. So neat!! My mocktail & smoothie DELISH. There was a drink order issue & they sorted it asap plus free charge. * Atmosphere - BEAUTIFUL, comfy, casual, stunning location. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - THANK YOU. Will be back soon.

It's a cozy place to have weekend breakfast. The food is absolutely delicious and in generous portion. We really enjoyed our meal.👌 Very welcoming and friendly staff. We had breakfast skillet and mince on toast with lime shake and nice coffee. Love this place and will visit again.😊

Another fab lunch at Francs, under the guidance of the ever lovely Adele and her great team of servers. Just myself and mother-in-law this time, but the usual friendly and attentive service, and yummy food. The view, atmosphere, service and food make it our first restaurant of choice whenever we are back in Takapuna every 2-3 months. Thanks guys!

Ate there last night and had their Smashed Cheeseburger. It was the best cheeseburger I have ever had in New Zealand. The patty is somewhat crispy around the edges and I really liked that. The chips/french fries were crispy as well. The waitstaff at Franc's is always for friendly and helpful. Love going there!

The staff were really nice and helpful. Loved the food but it was a little bit cold.

Adele and Hannah? Were wonderful the day my sister and I came! The food was gorgeous and the cocktails were spot on! We didn't want to leave for our next appointment after our 3rd yummy cocktail! Fabulous view, plenty of sunlight and an awesome crew to keep the place running! Thank you Adele and team!

Had a lovely evening with good food and good friends. Delicious as always. You never have to wait long for your food and one of the few restaurants whose kitchen is open at 4 in the afternoon when you want an early dinner.
