I would give this place 10 stars if I could, We have been here twice in the past couple weeks, food is probably some of the best I have had in Auckland, service is just as good and the location is awesome. I have been recommending this to everyone and I recommend it to you reading this. Go there. Now. You won't regret it.

We went for a birthday lunch. The food and service were excellent. I did not expect the standard of food for the price. Flavour and presentation were excellent and the setting is great over looking Lake Pupuke. We will be back.

Perfect French cuisine! What a wonderful dining experience we had. The menu offers amazing French dishes which were extremely tasty and not forgetting the absolutely delicious dessert. This restaurant deserves 5 stars!! Excellent!! 👍😋

Awesome food and pastries and great location.

The quality of the food is very good, as the location and presentation of the dishes. However the buckwheat pancakes don't taste good, normal pancakes would have been a lot nicer, and portion sizes are quite small for the price. I'd recommend going somewhere else in Takapuna in the future.

Lovely lovely lovely The food were amazing, desert were yum cozy and warm feeling. Great view and kid’s friendly too. Loved it and would sure go again. Their brunch menus is classic menu although served on a crepe type of base which made is super. Light and feeling and delicious. Booking is easy online. Very great staff, order came very fast and all together although we were around 12 people. Tick all the boxes for me.ttxx

(Aug 2023) I have come to place multiple times with friends and family and every single time everyone was happy with the food and service. But this time was way below average. I think something has changed since then. Our pouched eggs were overcooked. They forgot my kid’s order and took a long time to bring her plate and guess what, it wasn’t her order. My friend’s mocha was way too hot (the milk was literally cooked). They even messed up with my coffee order and gave me cappuccino with regular milk while I ordered soy. Not so good this time really.

An absolute hidden gem right by the lake! Friendly staff and chef makes you feel right at home! Food was absolutely on point, very delicious! One of the few restaurants I would give a 5 star rating - a pleasure to dine here!

Everything in your plate is homemade: the ice-creams, the sorbets, the sauces, the chutneys, the ravioli, etc. all made from scratch with bare ingredients. The quality is just unlike anything you will find in Auckland. The chef is a perfectionist, highly skilled, and works with an excellent team. And the lake view atmosphere is just so serene. Best French restaurant in town, from a French girl ;)

One of the best restaurants in Auckland. Extremely underrated. I dine out a lot and can tell you this restaurant far exceeded our expectations. The quality of the meals is fine dining level, but at very affordable price. The location is romantic, private and by the water. A true hidden gem. The people who have complained in the reviews know absolutely nothing about French cuisine and should feel embarrassed to call a Galette a pancake. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!

Lovely location next to the lake. Happy with service and quality of food. Really delicious honey lemon and ginger tea! Ordered prawn fritters. Nicely cooked and the prawns were a great size. Not really what I would consider a fritter to be, they were like battered deep fried prawns. Were nice just not what I was expecting. Really nice crepes.

Lovely view, nice breeze from lake as we sit outdoor on a sunny afternoon; Not usually a duck fan but really enjoyed the duck gnocchi; Galette was an interesting experience; planning to be back to try other items on the menu

Absolutely divine dining! Came here for the first time and the food was absolutely amazing! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Had the duck gnocchi as an entree, Perigourdine gallette for main and crepe for dessert. The flavors were just perfect and will totally recommend this place to friends now 😋 Definitely coming back!!!

Didn’t know what to expect as I am not a French food expert. I would say the food we had was fantastic and definitely left me a great impression. The location was stunning and the view was relaxing. Great for families.

We arrive at place around 2:30pm, we were not welcomed by the female waitress saying kitchen was closed once we arrive. We ordered cabinet food, food was not even finished half, same female staff was asking are you finished and tried to take the plates away, it was very rude. I am not curious about their crepe anymore.

One of our favorite places to go to for any meal. Everything is on the highest level, food especially. The chef definitely knows what they are doing! Fresh, everything made with love and from scratch. Service always on point. But the best part is, its so affordable! We often leave places hungry with $200-300 gone from our wallets. Rendez-vous feeds you well for a reasonable (especially for Auckland) price. Plus, you are literally on the waterfront of a lake! Stunning. Please never change :)

Excellent menu, delicious French food, just like in France, charming service and the best chocolate tart ever! All with a beautiful lake view. If you want ordinary ol’ burger and chips go somewhere else!

Beautiful place, really pacefull and quiet. Excellent service, so welcoming. They make the best desserts i have ever tried. It's totally worth it.

The food was very nice and tasty, although the portions were rather small (we ordered a regular size ones). I was hoping to have a french onion soup, but it's not on the menu anymore, very upsetting :(

Lovely location on the lakeside. Spacious comfortable restaurant with French flair. Great selection of crepes. Fast and friendly service. Our crepes were brought to the table so quickly we were amazed!

Honestly the best French food I ever had. Everything was fresh and the service was grate our waitresses was so friendly and honestly knew what she did.. I would go eat there again

Meant to post this at the time but events and then memory got away on me. Dined there in March for my mum's 99th birthday. Unbelievably we were the only table (only 5 of us) and they pretty much opened for the evening just for us. Loved the Galettes, and the French Greedy dessert (shared) was excellent. The young lady that waited on us was very efficient and super friendly. Throw in the reasonably priced bottle of French champagne and the whole evening just represented great value for money; top notch all round.

Absolutely lovely. The food could not be faulted. The service was perfect, location delightful. I am now recommending to everyone I know. If you like quality delightful french cuisine, then do go. You will not be disappointed when you visit.

It has everything; nice settings, perfect taste, excellent quality, inexpensive price, friendly hospitality, beautiful scenery and easy parking always available. No other place like this. Good for family and social gatherings.

1. We were 10mins late so our booked table outside was given to someone else. No phone call. Lead to a table inside on arrival, but finally given table outside on request. 2. Food well below expectations, based on previous experience here ... under new management? 3. Profiterole hard and greasy, deep fried? Suggest chef does course in French cuisine. 4. Food presentation poor, maybe just a bad hair day 5. Wouldn’t go back here again
