    Poor customer service. Standing there for at least 10 mins, checking different earrings, no one come and ask me anything. Instead of providing me any help, they would rather standing in front of the door and talk to each other. If they were busy, I will understand, but they are not. Good luck you lose a customer, but I don’t think they care.

    I bought a diamond ring band from Michael hill which had lab cultured diamonds. One of the diamonds fell off so I took the ring back to replace the diamond. I was approached by an Asian lady. After finding out that I was Chinese, she immediately pointed out the wedding ring I was wearing on my left hand was a one carat ring. As if it wasn’t good enough for her. After I presented her with the issue I had with the band, the rude Chinese lady immediately began to judge the fact that the diamonds weren’t real. She took the ring away and had me waiting for a while. Only to come back saying she talked to the store manager and the store manager was kind enough to offer me to replace my ring with a ring that’s got real diamonds. I told her that I was well aware the diamonds were lab cultured. She said it was her first time seeing this product. I asked her to please process the paperwork so I could go as I brought my toddler with me. She went away, took another 10min and gave the document to me and said someone will ring me once it’s fixed. Almost three weeks later, I called the store asking for an update and received the news that the ring cannot be fixed. Apparently I was meant to get a call from her about this but the truth is I never got a call. I’d like to point out the fact that she never once showed empathy. All I saw in her was greed. She wanted to upsell and she was very judgmental. I get it, there is a target to meet but so is everyone working in retail/sales space. But shouldn’t you solve the customer’s query first before trying to achieve what you want to achieve? I’m not sure why you would hire such person to work in a jewellery store. There are multiple negative reviews on here that may be referring to the same person. Michael Hill, I truly hope you mean it when you say you will investigate it further. She’s definitely misrepresenting the company image and helping you lose valuable customers.

    Worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Was so disappointed my husband got my engagement ring from there. No one was interested in helping resize my too small ring for me....in fact rushed me out and gave me another ring a size far too big it fell off my finger despite me showing the girls working there that ....100% would not recommend ....very obvious they make commission off sales only given they treated me like utter filth rushing me out so they could make a sale from someone else...all because the resizing was ‘free’.

    I've gone in here a few times and always felt high pressure from the sales team. Finally, I went in to say that I was just viewing items that day, and would come back another day to complete the purchase, mostly so they wouldn't push me so hard to buy something out of my price range. However, as soon as I said I wouldn't be purchasing that day, the women all started to treat me very poorly - a big shift from the caring "let's find your forever jewellery" attitude they'd had moments prior. Really sad.

    Horrible, terrible experience! My husband purchased earrings for my Xmas present. A number of times he mentioned that he wasn't sure which pair to get. He purchased being 100% sure that we could exchange if I wouldn't like the earrings. The sales person NEVER informed him that the earrings are not exchangeable items at their store. Today (3 days later from the purchase date) we went there to exchange the earrings and discovered that it is impossible. I'm going to make an official complaint as my husband wasn't told that he won't be able to exchange. He was misled by not being provided full and complete information about his purchase. Your apologies are NOT ACCEPTED. I'll take this case further as your sales person managed to tell her whole life story but forgot to advise about non-exchangeable policy. You also didn't have any signs about your policy next to earrings. Absolutely unacceptable customer experience.

    Saw a Xmas offer for an engraveable pendant. Went to the shop to ask for more information. The lady doesn't know anything. Kept telling me to just buy the pendant and go to another shop to get it engraved. I showed her their website with the details and said that their website offers free engraving. She couldn't care any lesser. Zero customer service. Doesn't know what's on offer. Definitely wouldn't be going back there.

    I can only speak about the Sylvia Park branch and I wouldn't recommend it. I went in with a couple of cheapish rings in mind and had them saved on my phone. Showed the salesperson and she bought some rings back, none of which were the ones I asked for. She said they didn't have them, instead she brought similar looking ones at double or triple the price but wasn't so up front about it. She kept pushing me and asking what my budget was and kept mentioning afterpay and interest free. I did buy a ring within my budget but she made the experience awkward and unpleasant. I entered the shop excited and left annoyed. I get that she a salesperson but i don't think she should be encouraging people into debt for a luxury item. The 2 stars is for the ring because I do like it and got a pretty good special but even so, I will not return. Had a much better experience at Pascoes.

    Terrible customer service! I purchased items online. It came monday, i came by sunday of same week to return 1 out of 4 items. But they refused to refund me. The manager assistant - Kristy, being super rude, she looked at the ring, saying that we have worned it, there is scatches on the ring so she can't issue the refund. We have to call customer service to sort it out ourselves! Theb she left without saying anything else! The interesting thing is that we NEVER WORN IT! So the ring was sent to us with FLAWS, and we cannot return it because the item was sent like that? PERFECT!!! 👿

    Worst service attitude I have ever experienced in my life, I was bought the weeding rings from the onehunga Michael Hill, and they did not have the big box, so I went to Sylvia park one to ask. When I been in the shop, no one help, and I was go to ask a old Asian lady, she said she not sure can give me a big box for my weeding rings? And let's me waiting for her manager, and I was waiting for the manager long long long time, then they told me, they can not give me a big box??? The old Asian Pretend to do something, keep avoiding me. That was so terrible experienced in my life.

    Terrible customer service, staff treat customers like a pushover when someone important comes in after you cutting in line. They clearly don't value customers unless it brings them the most money, taking business elsewhere. Not recommended at all even for small services like cleaning, engraving or resizing jewelry.

    if you don’t want to sell your “pricey” jewelleries, it great to keep the sale team as is! Terrible service! Unwelcome staff! Most rudely is the assistant manager! Worst experience ever!

    Visited 13/11. The assistant manager was super rude. Other staffs are super ignorant! Refused to show me the "expensive ring" and mocking attitude. I purchased multiple times from here and this experience surely is the worst!

    Went in to buy a gift for my mother, i was in my work clothes so didn't look fancy, When I asked the lady how much a necklace was she gave me a judgemental look and was like "it's very pricey", I asked her to check anyway, when I asked her how much the bigger one was she was like "its too expensive for you". She was clearly judging me for the way I look and was dressed and assumed I didn't have money. Do Michael Hill workers only treat you well if they believe you have money? I was going to buy the necklace, but being degraded that way put me off.

    Not the greatest experience. Associate was serving myself and at least one other person at the same time. Talking over me to the other customer. I was enquiring about sizing and felt very rushed. I was also discouraged from ordering online as it would “take weeks” for the product to arrive and that they would be able to order the same product within 5 days instead. It really put me off altogether

    Literally asked for my ID when I was shopping for a piece of jewelry for a Xmas present. Since when do you get ID for jewelly ??? Very rude and left immediately. If your having issues with theft this is not the answer to solving that.

    Very helpful staff, didn't feel pressured into anything and felt a genuine interest in finding me the perfect item from the staff. They were very patient and worked with us in keeping within our budget but at the same time finding us the best value. Very big help in finding us the perfect item!

    Was just browsing some rings when this filipino lady approached me and ask who am I proposing for. I said my gf but in a few years, she didn’t hear i said i few years. She quickly asked me to follow her to the most expensive rings. I told her again im not proposing yet just browsing, she gave me this judgemental look “oh why are you looking at rings now” whoever that filipino lady was shame on you stop acting like you own those rings

    Just picked up a watch that needed resizing and walked away with the hugest smile on my face. Awesome customer service!! Had two staff members ask me how I was and wished me well for an upcoming surgery. Both very genuine. Had amazing conversations with them even tho I wasn’t spending any money!

    So grateful to Tessa for her awesomely kind customer service. I was disappointed by the quality of a ring we had purchased and was in the mindset that "I'd never shop there again", but Tessa totally turned me around. She listened, had great empathy and was so incredibly helpful. Going above and beyond to help me with choosing a replacement. She is an absolute star and I'd encourage anyone who is shopping for a special piece of jewellery to come to this store (And ask for Tessa).

    They dont know how to speak to customers. They asked go somewhere else for cheaper ones. Asking about products is our right, we are not looking for cheaper ones. We are questioning the products. We ll buy higher price if the product fits.
