I don't understand how a cafe that roasts their own beans can make such horrible coffee. A 10oz cup, with extremely watery coffee, is unbelievably expensive. A regular coffee that's usually only $6 at other cafes costs $8.5 here! Even when they use the cheapest milk brand from supermarkets!

I like to focus on the positives as much as I in my reviews but I find it quite hard in this one. The one positive, the barista was nice. The rest of my experience here was way below average and, unfortunately, it is not the first time. I really hope this was just a lapsus and others have a better experience.

Delicious flat whites. They are a coffee speciality shop and always deliver on good coffee. Environment is pleasant to be within. The coffee is a little bit on the expensive side, but worth the money! Will be back :)

Great coffee, great atmosphere with brick background and polished concrete. Garage type setting but awesome. Nice and warm. The coffee shop changes into a bar later in the week in the evenings.

I live 200 m away from this place and it would be amazing if they could be my local cafe. Unfortunately charging $9.30 for my coffee is just absolutely ridiculous. They may have good coffee, but it is really not that special. It is a pretentious and completely overpriced place.

Update: I’ve been back a few times and the service has been much better than my first experience. Definitely recommend. - - - I wanted to love the experience, the space was nice and the coffee was good, but it took a looong time to get my cup; and my friend’s took even longer. Size was also quite small. Overall, I feel it was expensive for what I got.

Great pour-over coffee. One of the best I’ve had in cafés of Auckland! Friendly staff and great service too

Saw the reviews online and thought I would check it out. Wow, place is hipster and welcoming. Mentioned it was my first time and the team asked how I like my coffee and hoped I would enjoy it. I like my mocha sweet, however the coffee they gave me was more milk and quite enjoyable. I thought of it like a fine wine rather then a punchy chocolate drink. $8.50 for a larger one, but worth it for the drink and the friendly staff. Would recommend!

My first ever flatwhite coffee was at the Red Rabbit Coffee. It was incredible. The other ones have had afterwards still have not entirely hit the mark. I would recommend to all coffee enthusiasts.

Great coffee. Almond croissant wasn't pretty, but tastes AMAZING. Funky little joint, just wish there were more food options.

I go to a lot of cafes and expect to pay $5 to $5-50 for a large takeaway coffee, at Red Rabbit I was charged $7-50 for what was meant to be a large coffee but was one of those tall skinny cups that hold very little coffee, sorry but I will not be back at that price, shame because its handy and has a funky vibe to it.

Environment is good. Milk foam on Capuccino is very smooth, but cofee is rubbish😔. Just too much water hardly taste like coffee! My friends and I didnt enjoy our coffee after driving from that far away! Staff talked a bit loud, so as the music. We couldnt enjoyed our relaxing coffee time.

Best coffee and vibe in Auckland. Perfect location to do a bit of work as well (if you ask nicely, they provide wifi). Again, they do the best coffee.

One of the best coffees in town but is pricey, so I go as a special treat but can’t afford to use their beans as my everyday at home. Their cabinet pastries are also pretty tasty.

Amazing coffee spot for discerning coffee connoisseurs. These guys know their coffee beans & understand how to make a good coffee, a rarity these days. Highly recommended!

Poor service for very average, very overpriced coffee. Got told two coffees would take 10-15mins(!!!). There were only two people ahead of us. It did indeed take 15mins 'cos the barista rather do the dishes than make coffee orders to clear the queue (a few other people rocked up after us). Weird business model to make the cafe seem busier than it is. Won't be coming back.

It’s nice to sip on an espresso without your face screwing up - red rabbit consistently over time serves up coffee with the highest standard - I’m yet be disappointed here

I highly recommend this place to anyone who cares about craft coffee. The atmosphere is awesome, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They patiently answered all my questions about brewing. I will definitely be coming back again and again! 🖤 ☕

The smell of roasted coffee beans is amazing and this place has one of the best tasting coffees in Auckland. Incredible customer service also. The staff are friendly and passionate about serving great coffee. Because this road is quite popular, parking can be a little difficult to find.

Best coffee I have had in a long time, knowledgeable and friendly staff, great vibe - even shazamed a few songs ;) One of Auckland’s top attractions. 10/10 would come again.

Literally the best coffee beans you can buy. Always have great options for home brewers. That being said, i find it a bit expensive compared to other similar tier roasters.

Had a quick brekkie here. It was pretty good, cute little place tucked away, had a nice atmosphere. Coffees were nice, we also had an egg and prosciutto croissant and plum danish - good but they just took it out of the display and put it on a plate, probably would’ve been tastier if they heated it up. Cute little finches everywhere keeping you company while you dine… wouldn’t recommend if you’re afraid of birds.

Good service and staff everything good but coffee beans taste only in average and no better than normal coffee shop but price is higher.

I am their long time customer : bought coffee machine and subscribe to their espresso subscription from them 2-3 years ago until now. Recently in my last two delivery: i found cockroaches in the bag. Additionally, i found the coffee bag has been teared and altered date of roasting, not to mention is was 10 days old coffee. I have no issue with their coffee as it is not bad but the cleaning standard of their place and how they bag the bean got me worry. i will find somewhere else for my bean as they are no longer who they are anymore. it is sad.
