Absolutely amazing. Fine dining at its best. Very small , ensure you reserve a table. I love the Concept of having the restaurant in back of an open restaurant. There is a huge bar prior to walking in. Great meeting spot to wait for your friends. Business casual I would say is a great dress code.

Absolutely amazing experience. It’s an open space where you can see and interact with the chefs. Staff is friendly and attentive. Hailey was so wonderful and knowledgeable on various dishes. Thank you all for a great experience and helping celebrating a birthday! 😋

The restaurant was within another restaurant which was weird to me. When got to the Garrison it was a small intimate space. The waiter brought out some micro dish that was delicious... and free lol. I ordered the trout and potatoes or turbot which was good but it was a very small portion. My husband ordered the duck, he ate it but didn't really like the flavors. We also had the octopus for an appetizer and that was delicious, just know that you only get 2 tentacles fried hard without breading. I ordered a drink too but I forgot what it was called. Bill ended up being $150. Wasn't really impressed.😬

True fine dining is a delectable meal accompanied by a joyful experience. Garrison does this in spades. From preparation to presentation, Garrison feels like a Michelin starred experience, but with more value. My favorites include their take on a Caesar w / romaine hearts and charred alium. The skate and smoked roe was extremely flavorful. The cucumber gado gado was as much art as it was delicious. My suggestion is to come early, stay late and try as much on the small plate menu as possible. Be sure to ask for Jasper and let him enlighten you on the proper wine pairings. I will be returning to try the other two thirds of this menu!

I think the service at Garrison is the best I’ve been served. The server took great care of our table. They kept checking to make sure we had all we need. They changed the silverware after each dish. The food came in smaller portion than some other restaurants but they were excellent. You can park in the Fairmont hotel’s garage.

One of the most underrated fine dining experiences in Austin for sure, everything is well prepared, very creative, and a good combination of flavors. All the dishes we ordered were perfectly cooked and the service was really great. Cooking with a wood fire is complicated but they do it amazingly and beyond our expectations. Definitely a hidden gem!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and had a stellar time. We were treated to complimentary champagne to start off our evening. We tried the raved-about tater tots and goodness, what a treat!! Just get them! We had grilled oysters as well and they were spectacular. We shared the grilled broccoli with our meals and loved every bite. The post oak smoke flavor made the dish! I had the roasted golden tilefish which was described as a “fish and chips meal without the chips”. Lightly fried and served atop a kohlrabi remoulade. We finished the night with some complimentary truffles which were also delicious. Make the reservation and give this place a visit! Exquisite!

Recently celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. The ambiance and food was amazing, and I had the best zero proof cocktail I’ve ever had (thyme after thyme). Service and food were both exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone looking to go out and have an outstanding meal

I’ve left a couple 5 star restaurant reviews before, but Garrison is one of those standouts that truly deserve it. We came here to celebrate my birthday and were blown away. Food standouts: Truffle tater tots, kampachi crudo, blueberry foie gras parfait, and akushi porterhouse steak. When most places have a truffle and potatoes dish of some kind, I typically just get a dusting of truffle seasoning or flavor. The tater tots at Garrison have multiple layers of fresh shaved truffle all over the top. Their crudo of yellowtail has generous cuts of fish. The blueberry foie gras parfait was hands down one of the most interesting and surprising flavor combinations I’ve ever had. And the porterhouse was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and prepared ready to share. I also loved that every plate was made to share, which is how we like to usually eat anyway. Service was superb. Our server answered specific menu and ingredient questions, gave great recs, was attentive but didn’t hover unnecessarily—just great. Ambience and vibe felt elevated without being stuffy. Being inside the Fairmont was festive, since it was around the holidays, and parking was free after being validated at the restaurant. Great pick for a special occasion or Austin style fine dining. We’ll absolutely be back.

The amazing staff and amazing food leads to, you guessed it an amazing time. For the love of everything get the duck breast and truffle tater tots. The wagyu doesn't compare to the duck breast surprisingly, with such rich and complex flavors it is sure to be a palate pleaser. Magnificent food which is well thought out. The branzino was smoky and rich with a spectacular char. The non-alcoholic drinks are delightful too so I do recommend that with your meal.

What an amazing experience! Wonderful staff, phenomenal food, truly one of the best meals I’ve had! I had the biscuit with lavender honey, scallops (broth was to die for, waygu (insane), and truffle tater tots (no words)! The complexity yet harmony I has with these dishes truly was a wonderful experience. Then they closed with this amazing smoked chocolate caramel…. Such an amazing meal! Thank you chef Jakob and staff! I can’t wait to come back!

Dining in luxury! ❤️ This place is so warm and welcoming. The ambiance is just pure sophistication. The food! Heavenly! Started with beef tartare and grilled oysters, then smoked duck breast and akaushi ribeye with tater tots. Finished off with chocolate cherry and strawberry soufle. It was divine! Definitely worth the visit!

One of the top 10 places I have ever dinned at. Amazing service, food is just a piece of art when it comes to both - visual as well as the taste. I will make sure to be back. On the pic are the super amazing truffle tots, the duck Brest, the chicken, beets and some kind of dessert that I forgot the name of.

Get the tater tots, Parker rolls, and porterhouse steak. The branzino was good but not jaw dropping like the tater tots. Manager was amazing and service impeccable. perfect for many occasions (work, date, friends etc)

My husband and I recently dined here for our 10th wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable and friendly, and the food was all delicious and beautifully plated. What a delight! Don’t skip the tomato tart, the tater tots, or the desserts!

The ambiance service and flavours were impeccable. Jasper was fantastic knowledgeable and speaks 5 languages! We were thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail. The tater tots are incredible w lots of shaved truffle. Jasper suggested the porterhouse and it was perfectly cooked. Last time we came we had the cabbage and chicken which were also excellent. Will have to return to try the branzino!
