Lambert’s is pricier than your typical BBQ fare, but you get what you pay for, with an upscale interior, good service and excellent food with some quality sides that you won’t find at Franklin’s or Terry Black’s. The brisket was excellent, moist and with a good bark. They serve two kinds of ribs, one basted with a sauce and one with dry rub - we had the sauced variety, which had great flavor. The smoked sausage was also good. They also sell their own dry rub for meat, and in the past I have enjoyed a fair amount of success using it on my home grilling efforts.

Great atmosphere in a historic building and nice layout. Upstairs has a stage and other bar for live performance. We shared the three meat sampler and it was good. Just wish it came with more than a single slice of brisket… collard greens tasted great. Banana pudding was rich. Mussels appetizer was pretty good too

This is the third MML restaurant I have been to on me and my roommates journey to eat at them all. It has a wonderful atmosphere, great placement, a fantastic whiskey menu and the food of course is beyond belief. The fried pickles were the best appetizer I've ever had. Perfect balance of heat, zest of dill and tang of vinegar. The queso with pork burnt ends is genius and perfectly balanced between the flavors. I tried all of the meats and they were all fantastic but the brisket and the shirt ribs were the standouts of the group. The pork ribs surpassed them all and were absolutely delicious and falling off the bone. The Mac n cheese was amazing and creamy and the spiced fries were incredibly crispy but surprisingly fluffy on the inside. I don't know how they cooked them but they were unlike any fries I've ever had, in a good way.

It was fine. Four of us split a couple apps, an entrée and a few sides. Plenty of food and pretty tasty. Would have been super expensive if we'd all ordered separately. One of the problems was that our food turned ice cold within minutes, sitting under the high fans near the back. It was literally blowing my hair into my face. We were cold too and asked if they could turn the fan down a notch. The server said 'no, they are on high because the smoker lets smoke in' and walked away. How about adding 'So sorry! I'd be happy to move you to another table'. Ugh.

My friends and I really enjoyed our time at Lambert’s. We were a party of 5 and we order a range of plates to sample, as none of us had ever been to the restaurant before. Our favorite dishes all-around were actually the queso, bacon cheeseburger, and half-chicken plate. While the barbecue was pretty good, we were totally wowed by these three aforementioned dishes. The queso was some of the best we’ve ever had! The half-chicken, which I highly recommend, is easily enough for two people. The bacon cheeseburger just had such high-quality meat and was perfectly cooked and juicy. Lambert’s is definitely a cool spot worth trying out! Great for groups or a date. A lot of nice drinks on their menu as well.

Everything we ordered was beyond what our expectations were. The ribeye was perfect and the other meats each had their own distinct flavors. Sometimes when it’s grilled or smoked meats it all tastes the same , not this place. Each meat was perfectly cooked. We had the mashed potatoes and they also were fabulous. Highly recommend.

We visited because someone gave us a gift certificate. From the very entrance, the smell was enticing. We started with a queso appetizer with burnt ends. The chips were quite heavy but the queso was tasty. My wife and I split the brisket plate with sides of beans and potato salad. The brisket was incredibly tender, but I wish they had not added cracked pepper. The beans were so-so, but the potato salad was delicious. Sadly, and we’re wondering if it’s just a downtown thing or not, but our server seemed dismissive of us. Even our attempts to make eye contact and engage her in conversation failed to slow her down. All in all, it was good food, but too pricey for what was delivered uncaringly.

This was exceptional. The ribeye was cooked Perfect. The wild boar ribs was amazing. The pork ribs were cooked tender. The greens was really good the only problem I had was the baked Mac n cheese. The pasta was gummy and not consistent through out the dish. It was soft here and lumpy there. The flavor of cheese was non existent and it was too milky. No real flavor. It was as if someone made this didn't understand Mac n cheese at all. The broccoli while it ok. The pungent flavor doesn't add up to what the menu explains. So I liked the entrees mostly but the sides not so much. They need help on the sides I think. But they restaurant is really nice and the service is great. Weird that you have to go up stairs for a restroom which can be very difficult for disabled or elderly. But besides that the place was a wonderful experience.

We stopped in here for a last minute dinner and it certainly did not disappoint! The complementary jalapeño cornbread and brisket were phenomenal! Great vibes inside (they happened to be blasting some oldies over the speakers that night).

Went for a business dinner with a few of my colleagues and everyone said that the food was good. I ordered the chicken but it came out too dry and was hard to chew so probably just stick to the brisket because that was the loved by all!

I worked with Jasmine at Lambert's to plan and host a full restaurant buyout for 120 people for my client at a business conference. I can wholeheartedly recommend Lambert's for business events! They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was well-fed and had a great experience. They had plenty of space for our group to mingle and have a great time. Service did not lag at all and everyone was very organized. The food was delicious and I thought reasonably priced for the quality and quantity we received. Nobody went hungry!! All of their staff members were attentive and friendly. We received positive feedback from all attendees that it was one of our most memorable group meals. The vibes are awesome and the drinks are strong! We would definitely return in the future if the group hosts again in Austin.

Went here for a birthday/Father’s Day celebration. The atmosphere was awesome and we enjoyed the live music. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing!!!! I had the meat trio. The brisket was delicious and the meat from the rib was so tender and juicy. I didn’t care for the crumbly sausage - personal preference. We had mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and the waffle fries (with the yummy dipping sauce) and loved every bite. A little pricey but for the location (in a historic building downtown), vibe and yummy food it is worth it for a special night.

Very tasty, inventive menu. Fresh and original takes on BBQ - very delicious. I would pass on the mac & cheese, it tasted like olive oil , which I wasn’t expecting. Kind, attentive servers. Overall great experience.

Loved Lambert's! This was my favorite spot of my most recent trip to Austin. The steak special was out of this world. We shared a bunch of different entrees and sides and everything was phenomenal. Fried pickle spear app was also very tasty! Drinks were all great too... I loved the Rhu-Barbara Streisand. The atmosphere was high end in a historic building. All in all, highly recommend for a special dinner.

Had a wonderful meal here! Originally came for BBQ, but the waiter made the recommendation to order the Hanger Steak with a side of Brisket. I was NOT disappointed with this. Mouth watering brisket and one of the best steaks I've ever had. Big thanks to the waiter that suggested this. Enjoyed the house and hot bbq sauces with the brisket. Wonderful meal and a highlight of my Austin trip!

The food at Lambert's was okay at best. The brisket was dry and rough and the broccoli seemed under cooked and had a weird smokiness to it. The fried pickles were excellent though. The four stars was really for the service. Our server Riley was excellent, providing just the right level of attention, getting everything spot on, and having a friendly and welcoming personality.

Uneven food and service. Smoked clams; great! Hangar steak, a bit undercooked, and served at room temp, despite the order coming out quickly. Maybe too quickly, as the Cabernet I'd ordered to accompany the steak did not arrive until several more minutes elapsed after I asked for it again. Not the steak was cold. Did not send back for refire as my lady was enjoying the shrimp & grits (terrific!) and asked me not to.

A very busy and popular place, we got the Chipotle queso, three meat sampler and heirloom carrots & avocado which were all delicious. The queso, pork ribs and brisket were stand-out dishes and would definitely be going back for them.
