Food 2/5 Aftermath 1/5 Got their signature Ramen for $11 Noodles were AL Dante,Pork nice char but not tender. Broth is fine: kinda boring a little chili flakes if they offered would be perfect. Bowl came out fast and was great hot if you wanted to eat in your car. if my nose starts running when I eat a ramen, thats a physical indicator it was good, no running nose but other running things later :(

Came here to get some lunch to discover they were closed and doing takeout only, so I went into the neighboring thrift store to sit and look at the menu. Went back outside to discover that my car had been booted by the Michi owner for parking in their spot, even though their store was closed for takeout only. Very disappointed by their petty need to make a dollar and act unneighborly to their patrons and fellow business owners. Will be telling everyone I know to go to literally any other Ramen spot.

I ordered ramen and Michi gave me the worst food poisoning of my adult life. An entire week later and I’m just now able to keep food and liquids down. It’s shocking that a place this dirty can stay open in a first world country.

My wife and I eat at Michi regularly and absolutely love it! We made an order online today and went to pick it up, only to find out that we had messed up the ordering and had accidentally selected rice bowls instead of ramen. When explaining the situation, the manager was very understanding and offered to give us noodles and broth so we could just move the toppings over. Incredibly thankful for what was offered, I asked how much I owed, since I figured there would be a price difference. The manager then went beyond and said not to worry about it. With this level of customer service and just how delicious the food is, we will continue to eat at Michi!

We were looking forward to returning to Michi since they reopened the dining room but sadly were disappointed to discover it's no longer the quaint spot we enjoyed frequenting prior to the pandemic. It was one of our favorite date nights - sitting at the bar enjoying a great selection of beer and local sake. The entrance / covered patio area was grossly neglected and looks like no effort has been made to make it look inviting. Once inside, we were also disappointed to see a shell of a once bustling restaurant - hot, dark, devoid of ambiance and character. Convenient spot for mediocre ramen to-go if you are in the neighborhood, however.

I'm all for a hole in the wall location's, but in all honesty, I was not feeling this one. It had one working fan, It was extremely hot inside & the food was overwhelmed with salt. I must say the service was great! She was super sweet & helpful. I wish you well.

Michi was the first ramen restaurant I ever tried and it was an amazing experience for someone new to actual ramen. However as the years have gone by and after visiting several ramen places, I would have to say the Michi experience is not as great as it once was. The quality of the ramen is decent especially the broth, and the staff are pretty friendly but missing or old ingredients seems to be common now, as well as long waits for the food. The burnt ends side dish has also suffered with it no longer being burnt as the name suggests but instead cooked in copious amount of soy sauce. Both pork and chicken were ordered and aside from texture, you could not tell either one apart as both appearance and taste were the same. The ramen itself is decent though not worth the wait it took to receive it. All in all it has gone from my favorite place for ramen to least favorite.

Do not come here. Came to pickup lunch. Saw cute vintage store in the *same parking lot*. Thought I'd take a peek. Nope. They booted my car and charged me $100 for trying to patronize multiple businesses. Said I would need to park 10 feet away first then move my car back 10 feet when I wanted to eat. Would not even waive fee if we did eat. So we passed on lunch and on giving any more money to these awful community members. What a gross business practice.

In this half Hobbit-hole shaped building you can find the best Ramen in town. Chill, casual environment, friendly and impressively bearded staffs. Juicy and tender sliced pork belly. Crispy flavorful seaweed paper. Perfectly cooked soft boiled egg. Very well balanced bowl of ramen. You can choose the thickness of your own broth. We tried Regular and Stout, both are amazing. Happy Hour is 3-6pm M-F, reversed happy hour Fri & Sat 9-11pm, all day Sunday, $1 off drinks and $2 off pitchers. Beer and Sake, tea & coffee. They have some parking spots next to their building, just don’t park in the next door auto parts place.

Kinda sad they'll tow you for being parked for less than 10 mins. Arrived but saw it was takeout only. Checked neighboring thrift store for a sec to weigh our options, decided we were actually going to order, but I forgot my wallet in the car. To my surprise it was booted. Cause we "left the property". Wow. So you have someone sitting and watching people just going to the neighboring stores? Never even thinking about this as an option ever again. 😐

Great Ramen but very stupid management. Why you ask? Here is why, I drove over 40 minutes and wanted order 4 sides of Ajitama eggs and the person on the phone could not take my order because its just sides. Upon request, she checked with her manager and told me that they cant sell me side orders unless I order the main course. Extremely disappointed. Probably Michi is doing great business and doesn't care about customers with side orders. I will take my business somewhere else.

Fast good ramen. Sat by the door it was a bit cold every time someone opened it but other then that it was delicious. Wish they had more meat options other then pork. #MassiveValue

Michi is a wonderful place to go to customize your own ramen. They have so many different broths to choose from! All delish 😋 Nice selection of beers and Sake. I love coming to eat here with my family!

This was my first time trying ramen and went here because of the good reviews. We tried the pork broth which was not to my liking. That’s just my taste. Next time I would try the chicken broth. But the other toppings were good and it was a nice experience. There are a lot of toppings to choose from

One of my favorite Raman places. Even better now that nobody is going to lunch there. It must be they didn't know they came back after covid

The ramen tasted quite good, and the food was all fresh. The decor isn't that great, but on the bright side it doubles as an Asian food shop

Sooooo freaking tasty! Had the miso broth with pork belly and it was absolutely delicious. The place almost looked closed when we pulled up. Thankfully we took the gamble and walked in. It's definitely low key and chill. If you're wanting a fancy dine in experience you may not be pleased. I liked that it was very relaxed.

Dee at the North Lamar location is always so helpful and kind. She treats me like a friend every time I come in, not to mention the food is great. I love the “build your own” aspect and this is my favorite ramen place I’ve found in Austin.

The flavor is good in my honest opinion, but so far every time I’ve gone the A/C has been out and there’s been a weird smell. They could also use some more outdoor lighting, half the time you can’t even tell they’re open.

Parking lot still had large pot holes. I noticed they’re opening up tables at this location again! I’ve loved getting take out here for the past few months. Always delicious and consistent.

Wowwowowowowoowow! Is all I can say about this place....! Just kidding cause I have a lot more to say about it! This has to be one of my favorite places to eat in Austin, on par with Chi'lantro deliciousness! Came here after 9:45 on a Friday night and had some of the most delicious ramen I have ever eaten. Not only that, I also had the delicious Pork "Burnt Ends" which were amazing at the start, but got even better as I got closer to the bottom of the bowl! Top it off with amazing Mochi Ice Cream, some hot Sake, and some Asahi and you've got yourself one hell of a meal! I DEFINITELY will be coming back here again!

Low-key spot with “hole in the wall” vibes in the best of ways. Menu was easy to navigate even for someone with little experience ordering ramen and the food was fantastic. Beautifully cooked and presented and perfectly rich! Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

THE place to go for late-night ramen! High quality ingredients in a hearty broth, similar to Tatsu-Ya. Lines get long once other places start to close for the night. Dive vibe, but authentic. Loved it!

Michi ramen has decided they can make money by booting anyone’s vehicle that parks in their empty lot. So the owner actively sits and watches the cameras and has the tow company boot people at $100 a pop immediately after someone steps out of their car and goes to the shopping center next door. Seems like a great way to drum up business while the restaurant isn’t open for dine in service…

Very underwhelming. I got the veggie option which was bland and they did not remove any of the items I asked to be removed. My fiancee got the Michi chicken and it was pure salt, tasted just like soy sauce instead of a broth. We never complain about food, but felt the need to rate this experience.

Overall below average experience. Ramens are ok and they do have vegan and vegetarian ramen options, however, staff is not much friendly. I get the feeling with being famous now, staff has stopped caring and don't feel the warm welcome like other ramen place. Additionally, every condiment is extra and they are trying to pull off profit with much customer experience specially when every one is packed in space spaces. Please work on your staffs friendliness.

last two times i’ve eaten here i’ve had severe stomach problems. not sure what it could be, but i gave it a 2nd try to see if it was just me. also each time i’ve gotten their noodles for take out they are all clumped together and hard:/

There needs to be a 7th star! Because that’s what I want to rate it! This was our first visit and we were treated and served with so much hospitality. The food is most excellent! The atmosphere was very inviting. We really enjoyed our meal. This is a genuine place with honest and real people. Thank you!
