Easy parking, friendly staff, came at a good time and was able to sit right away. They have a patio as well. We started off with some bloody's and why not. The biscuits and gravy were very good, and the chicken & waffles were even better. We also tried the corn fritters, and I highly recommend. They were light and fluffy with the right amount of heat. I would absolutely return when back in Austin.

Great service! Amazing food! Stopped in for an early Sunday brunch on the way out of town. Was nervous about the parking situation but a spot opened up quickly. We had a small wait but we were seated quickly as well. I save French toast for special occasions and since we were wrapping up our celebrations, I tried the Cereal Encrusted French Toast with Macerated Blueberries and my mouth was in heaven! I never would’ve thought to create such a pairing, but it was a perfect textural compliment. Loved it!

A great little diner with a cozy feel and well-executed classics. Prices were not too bad for the Austin downtown area, and there’s decent parking! Definitely will be back for the Kentucky Bourbon pie and to try more of the menu.

Great food - burger was delish. Ordered medium rare and i was full but couldn't stop eating it. The pickles were so good, like cucumbers but better- refreshing. Service was excellent.

We had a party of 8 ona Saturday morning. We were quickly accommodated by the hostess which was nice but our server (unfortunately I did not get her name) was absolutely rude and unhelpful. She made us all feel as if we were inconveniencing her and she’d love to get us out the restaurant as quickly as she can. A few of my friends in the party did not enjoy their food— particularly the steak and eggs with complaints that it was fatty and tasteless. I had the meatloaf which was pretty tasty. All in all, I’ll probably never go back. Awful first experience.

Went for breakfast here and it was good. I had the chicken waffle. It was delicious. Rest of them had different dishes but all were good. Nothing to complain about food. Wish the restaurant was a little more put together and clean. They could use more lighting and brighten up the place with light paint so it will look large and spacious. But I would definitely visit again and recommend this place also.

The staff who greeted me were quite nice and polite. Being charged 17 dollars for a sandwhich and hash style potatoes, not so much. I asked for over medium eggs, and nothing was runny about it. Both the sandwhich and potatoes were cold by the time I got home (only live 5 minutes away). I will not be eating here again, not that that means much in the grand scale of things, but still, first impressions matter and won't recommend this to anyone.

I used to really enjoy this place, when I crave chicken and waffles I am craving that chicken and waffles that I had the first time I came here a few years ago. I have been here 2-3 times in the last year or two, and; had it been better those 2-3 times, I would have come a lot more. Unfortunately, my last time coming will be my last. Service was good, standard. I was dining by myself on a Sunday, so they were pretty slammed. But damn, when my chicken and waffles came out I was so disappointed. Barely any breading on the chicken breast , the waffle texture was off, and both the white meat and dark meat were dry and not seasoned very well. The way they cut the chicken makes me think that is how they check to see if it is done, which I think is a really strange choice. I really don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I truly believe the dish was abysmal. Coffee was good though!

I had not been to 24 Diner in years and it’s still delicious. Egg sandwich, eggs and bacon plate, chicken biscuit, cinnamon roll and mimosas. Everything is always so good!

Local ingredients and super high quality service and food. We ordered fries, hot chocolate, the small chicken and waffles, and cereal crusted French toast. We are both picky eaters and this was incredible. Our server also made us an iced coffee with coconut milk and homemade caramel syrup and OH MY GOSH. INSANELY good. DEFINITELY will be back!

The chili cheese fries are AMAZING, like you get a bowl of TX chili made with love with a side of fries. Chicken and waffles are incredible, real maple syrup and cinnamon sugar butter.

24 Diner is a misnomer. It is only open from 7am-11pm. So by no means an actual 24 hour diner. It is conveniently located next to Waterloo Records. But this space was much better when it was Waterloo Icehouse. 24 Diner has all your diner staples and decent dessert but the food is lacking a bit. Still a good place to have a bite to eat after exhausting yourself next door.

My waiter was excellent but the experience took longer than I expected. At least the food was amazing, though I was a bit annoyed when my appetizer and meal came out at the same time. Minor details. I would definitely recommend the meatloaf!

Came here on a Sunday craving for waffles, but I was slightly let down. We didn't go for the chicken and waffle, instead we ordered sweet potato hash and waffle sides. The waffles were soft like a pancake, and a tiny portion in the middle was sticky. I was at least expecting a little bit of crisp on the outside. Maybe we should've ordered the waffle plates, and it would be different. The brown sugar whipped butter was decent and not too sweet. The hash was OK. I liked how the sweet potato is cooked through so you can taste the starchy sweet flavor, but again I expect there was a little more crisp on the surface - I always pictured the hash were served/cooked on a sizzling skillet. But the flavor is delightful and balanced. The poblano peppers really add to the flavor, and I would encourage everyone to put a little hot sauce on it. The hash is a little pricey, but this is justifiable given its location.

Forgot to take a picture of the food before we ate, it looked so good! Wait time for food wasn't long at all, even with a full restaurant. The veggie hash is really good, the small portion is perfect. I read the positive reviews of waffles beforehand, and I'm glad they were recommended! Cold Brew was solid, too, only needed one glass.

Great place. Huge portions. My husband was looking for a good meatloaf to try, and this place ticked the boxes. Our waitresses was really nice too.

Visited this place during a weekend getaway with my girlfriend and her cousins. The wait time was long but it was worth it. My girlfriend really love’s chicken and waffles and she said they were cooked to perfection. I had the biscuit &’ gravy with eggs &’ it was delicious. We also ordered mimosas too. Definitely will try again the next time we visit.

The diner is a clean, friendly place. The food was good and it didn't take long to get to our table surprisingly because the place was packed full. I would recommend them to people who want just a quick place to grab a bite. The portions are very large. My wife had a small chicken and waffle plate, and it was still a good size portion. This is definitely a place if you leave hungry, it's your fault.

Our server was fantastic! My friend was thinking about the vegan sausage. He asked her if she likes beets to which she replied no. He told her that she shouldn't get it then. Many servers would just go for the sale, he talked to us to ensure that we would enjoy our meal, which was wonderful! Great service, great food, would go there again. #TravelWithThema

Spectacular service from the Sicilian servers and amazing food. I got the burger and it's beef grown within the state! I ordered a rare burger and got just that, with the dressing not overpowering the flavor while accompany the overall flavor or the meal. I 100% recommend the burger because you can actually taste the beef.

Benedict was very good but the biscuits n gravy had a really hard biscuits which not even the gravy could soften and the cinnamon roll also over baked and hard around the first three layers.

I've been visiting 24 Diner since before the pandemic began. As of summer 2022 the food is still amazing as always. The staff are always friendly and amazing to chat with. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and they always know what the best thing on the menu is, at any time of year.
