Where do I begin. Eating here was a spiritual experience, millions of years of human evolution and collective ingenuity have occurred to deliver a culinary journey of this magnitude. Everything we ordered was 10/10. Excellent serving sizes and very reasonably priced. The seafood pancake was out of this world, amazing texture and crispness, incredibly fresh invoking a deep sense of comfort within my heart. The marinated beef tasted awesome and had great marbling. It was my first time having BBQ chicken and that was also great, pairing well with the complimentary lettuce wraps provided. The fried chicken was fresh and had a great crunch with the perfect amount of sauce. A generous amount of entrees were provided which were all excellent. Service was also very good, they even provided a side table to avoid over crowding of dishes, as well as switching on the outdoor heater on a cold night to ensure that we were comfortable during our meal. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this succulent meal, an exceptionally memorable culinary experience that I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of delicious food as well as the primal experience of sharing a meal around a hot, fiery grill as our ancestors have done in the past. Looking forward to coming back and once again enjoying this epicurean adventure. 10/10

This place is greedy. I was waiting for my friend and had been seated for 10-15 mins, looking at the menu when they told me I needed to move out because I hadn't placed an order. I explained that I was waiting for my friend due to train delays, but they still insisted I leave and wait outside (and I would have to line up again). I was ready to order food even my friend hasn’t arrived yet so that it would be ready. I find this very rude and will only give them 1/5 stars. Furthermore, they only allow you to eat for 1 hour and 30 mins (even though I'm not having bbq, just the à la carte menu). I haven't been to a restaurant where they time you, except for buffet restaurants. I think they want to get more customers, but it's a shame. You can't even enjoy your food because the atmosphere is not great either. It's very loud and busy, with narrow spacing between the tables making it feel crowded, almost like being packed like sardines. If you're claustrophobic, it's not the best place to sit inside for you. As for the food, it was okay, 3/5. We liked the fried chicken, but we've had better. Their Japchae is very chewy and hard to swallow. It seems like they use cheap glass noodles as it feels like eating rubber, and we even had a stomachache after eating it (probably because it takes a long time to digest). I won't be coming back here! I'd rather go to the other Korean restaurant close to the Hornsby Railway Hotel.

Fried chicken is ok but seafood pancake is way too oily. Over priced as well. Not worth it.

The BBQ and Side Dishes were amazing, and our service was quick and efficient. After eating, we all felt satisfied with our meal. We had Wagyu Rib Eye, Rib Finger and Thin Skirt for four people.

Be Aware of Time Limit!!! I wish I can give negative star if I can. The manager was so rude. I don't like 1 hour eating time rule they force customer to follow. We went to this restaurant at 6:20pm and got a table at 6:40pm. The manager told one of our group members that we only have 1 hour to eat which I did not hear about the eating time limit. Food came 20 minutes later at 7:00pm and we started eating the food. 20 minutes later at 7:20pm, the server came and told us we only have 20 minutes left to finish the food. We were in the middle of eating the dinner. We finished about half of the food we received, and we still have one bottle of soju drink left to finish. They left the invoice on the table at 7:23pm so that they can get the money fast and kick out customers as soon as possible so that they can have another customer to make more money. The owner must be very very greedy and has no concept of customer service. This is very unfair trading act harassing customers in the middle of the dinner. We all felt very offended and upset, we lost our appetite. The server was very rude. I wanted to talk to the owner but he was not available. Instead, manager came and told us the rule. The manager was even more rude. Most fancy seafood buffet restaurant, Epicurean, in Sydney gives time limit for 1.5 hours. I understand the nature of their business. But Kangnam BBQ is not a buffet restaurant. You can not pluck out customers in the middle of dinner or harass customers by reminding them how much time left to eat. I will never come to this restaurant again. The manager was very rude and he does not know how to make customer to return for another business. The owner's policy on eating time limit is not fair and the owner is very rude and greedy.

Very busy restaurant but has a great atmosphere with heaters outside. Meat is well seasoned, however we did find the portions a bit small. The fried chicken was great. We didn't get a lot of service, our grill plate didn't get changed at all and our sides were not refilled despite asking numerous tines. Went with a big group of 6 people so we booked ahead.

We decided to try this place for the Korean fried chicken and because we didn’t know what other nearby options are out there. Got in at a great time because we got a table very easily but then had quite a bit of trouble communicating with the staff - we wanted to know how spicy the spicy fried chicken option was and if they could make it any spicier or if not, could they provide extra chilli sauce on the side. We nearly walked out after speaking to numerous staff and getting different answers! In the end, we ended up staying and ordered the half and half fried chicken - original and spicy (yes, they could make it a bit spicier) - and the seafood pancake. What came out was a feast of accompaniments followed by a huge and generous seafood pancake, and (we believe) an actual whole fried chicken. Everything tasted great and was worth the miscommunication at the start. I’d go again but I’d stick to just ordering straight from the menu (language barrier being an issue with some of the staff).

The first thing I noticed was the service! They’re one of those restaurants that immediately notice if you’re waiting outside. I was waiting for some friends so I spent a bit of time outside, reading their menu. At least four staff members asked if I was okay or waiting for a seat! Once we were ready to be seated, they were also very quick and efficient, as well as being polite and courteous. The food was great. There was a good range of sides and portions were good too (not too much and not too little). I got the vegetable bibimbap, which was beautifully presented, and tasted very nice - a good mix of textures and flavours! I highly recommend :)

This restaurants been a staple in Hornsby for a number of years now and it’s always popular even during lunch on a weekday. It’s a little far for us to travel to but when we are in the area it’s worth it. The seafood pancake is probably one of the best in Sydney, both crunchy and thick at the same time not those measly oily types. Their soy chicken is also very tasty. The playground right next door is very convenient if you have young toddlers that want to run around whilst the adults sit back and eat.

Cane in for dinner and decided not to do the bbq due to time restraint and was pretty happy with our food. We were slightly disappointed that some of the lunch menu items were not even orderable at all but it’s to be expected. The service was pretty good. Just had a moment when a waiter almost placed someone else’s fried chicken dish on to our table but they quickly figured it out. May return for the bbq experience.

Clean, good service and very friendly staff. The food is good, and I would recommend groups as some of the menu items may be a little more than one person's portion.

Will definitely come back again! I like their services and back ground music as well. The side dishes were super good! The waiting time on weekends is about 30-40mins.

The restaurant was busy on Friday night. Overall, I found the food to be good. The beef quality was particularly noteworthy; it was of great quality. There were a lot of variety for side dishes, which was a nice touch. The seafood pancake, which was crispy and not too dry. I do recommend the seafood pancake. The fried chicken was okay, somehow it didn't quite meet my expectations. Maybe it’s batter used. Biggest drawback was the service, which was lacklustre due to what appeared to be a staffing shortage. Despite our best efforts to engage with the staff, they seemed more interested in moving on to the next customer than taking the time to address our concerns. One of the other negative aspects limited dipping sauce. Need to keep asking for it. And no garlic or green chilli provide with the lettuce.

Very busy restaurant, the line always long unless you come before or after their busy time. Sometimes you just running out of your time as their limit your stay. Lol. But they are so generous with the side dishes. The foods are good, their service also good 👍.

I ordered a spicy tofu and seafood stew and it was very tasty. I liked the complimentary side dishes. However, it was a bit pricey ($25 for that dish) and it is more expensive than before.

I had an incredible dining experience at Kangnam Korean BBQ! The freshness of their pork belly and the amazing quality of their beef left me thoroughly impressed. The pork noodle soup was a true highlight - it was a delicious and comforting bowl of goodness. The attentive service and inviting atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch Korean food😋😋😋😋

Waited 45mins for a table for dinner not BBQ. Unfortunately, it's a ad hoc call and didn't book my table. Will definitely learnt my lesson and be smarter next time. It's extremely way too popular that they simply can't cope with the numbers of walk in customers. Great food and it's for real, just can't stop eating lol Always love it's ox tail soup, beef soups and crispy fried chickens ~ HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Don't forget the free refill small side dishes.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
