Open air, uncovered car park. Will get very hot during summer. Take the free shuttle to get to town. It stops at Porte de l’Oulle.

Warning! We parked there during lunchtime. On return, a window of our (small Peugeot rental car) was smashed and the vehicle was opened by thieves. Other cars had broken windows too. The attendant in the visitor center was not too surprised - seems to happen all the time

Car was broken in to and all our luggage stolen. The police said that cat theft from here is common.

Free parking that is a 5 minute walk to the city wall! Also has free shuttle buses during the week and bikes you can rent. Great way to save some money

No parking fee, so the area is always full. The city is 10 min walk only.

Huge free outdoor parking lot with frequent complimentary shuttles to Avignon (Port de l’Oulle). Was extremely full when we arrived on a Monday around 3:30pm, but we managed to find a spot.

Beware! Car robbed...lock drilled...leave no valuables in car if you plan to park here.

Avoid at all cost. Our car was completely emptied by burglars during a 3h daytime visit to the city center. Upon checking with the security guards of the parking, they said 'this happens all the time and actually, the city should put up signs that this place is not safe to park'.

This is the best place to park when visiting Avignon and it’s free. A free shuttle bus runs every 10 minutes to the Ramparts (the walls of the old city) and its only a 7 minute walk from there to the Palais Des Papes. The return shuttle bus leaves from the same place on the Ramparts where it dropped you off. The last shuttle bus to the car park is around 8pm, but you could walk there in about 15 or 20 minutes if you had to. Other cities should follow this example. It makes visiting a popular historic town like this a real pleasure. I’m not sure about this, but some other people said the shuttle bus does not run on Sundays - best to check this out if you plan to visit on a Sunday.
