    Lovely bistro food in a very beautiful setting if you sit outside. The waiters were curteous and even though they spoke English they persevered with my struggling French.

    I've made my way around Avignon enough to give Balthazar a fair review. I've eaten several different things on the menu , the food is always exceptional. But, The reason I return is because of Thomas (propriétaire) and the staff, wonderful friendly people, very warm. Balthazar is my favorite restaurant in Avignon!
