This is not just a chocolate factory, but also a historical museum which uses chocolaye like items to depict history of Turkey. Overall a fun place both for children and adults. There are 3 different servings of tasty hazelnut chocolate inside the museum which makes it tastier😊

A very fantastic idea that make the kids welcome the idea of museums. They have a decent number of famous worldwide figures and Turkish famous sites. The entry tickets is expensive for what you see but if you are that far off Istanbul it's worth a visit.

Me and my boyfriend came there and got tickets straight away, we didn’t have to wait at all. They give you chocolate bar as a gift and you can taste the chocolate 2 times during your visit. This place is really cool and there is a lot of interesting pieces to see, mostly everything is related to history. I had a great time during my visit. The only thing I didn’t like was staff that was following me around everywhere I went in their store (which is also part of museum). I felt really uncomfortable being followed by every step I make so I didn’t even have a wish to buy anything inside there I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. The rest of the visit was good.

The kids enjoyed this place a lot, especially the last part of the museum where you can find kids cartoon statues. I enjoyed the historical statues made of chocolate, very well done. This place was not packed when I visited, a parking lot is available nearby, and friendly staff. overall this was a good time for a family trip.

You can visit this place instead of museums. But as I visited lots of museums in İstanbul. I found it little boring. Useful for kids, there is a special place for kids. The fee is 100 T.l .

A very nice, cool and fun museum, as someone doesn't enjoy normal museums this was so enjoyable for me. Everything is very well made and stunning. The chocolate they give with the ticket tastes so delicious. I don't recommend drinking coffee at the cafe though I hope they will improve that.

IT IS worth visiting, we really enjoyed it , only downside is that the bus station is faraway from it , and it isn’t easy to go to , ( I recommend going with a taxi/ driver ) , the place isn’t crowded at all cuz it is hard to go to lol and most IMPORTANTLY they will give you a free chocolate bar and u can taste a chocolate fountain <3

Beautiful museum and very well organized. People working here were friendly and helpful. I love the fact that as we went around the museum, there is a wonderful chocolate scent all around. My kids absolutely loved it.

Great for the price. Was expecting just chocolate sculptures but they actually teach things about the history of Türkiye. Not too crowded and great chocolate. It would be nice if it said the type of chocolate and technique used to make the sculptures.

Nice museum. The characters and historical places were beautiful. I thought there will be free chocolate for visitors but they didn’t give us so i think you should ask for. It was a little small than i thought but it was nice.

Amazing factory and museum! The chocolate sculptures are so intricate and detailed. I've been to Belgian chocolate factories and this was even more detailed. A mini history of Istanbul also. Loved the bazaar, bought some jewellery and assistants were very helpful. Much better prices than the airport. Would visit again when next in Turkey.

📍 : Pelit Cikolata muzesi 🍫 Pelit Chocolate Museum is located in Istanbul's Esenyurt district, 30 km from the city center. About 40 minutes max away from Taksim depending on the traffic but heyy it's worth every stress 😄 🍫 The building is painted with black, milk and white chocolate instead of random colors to give you that chocolatey feel. Very unique museum, everything here is made of chocolate, from historical chocolate sculptures and buildings like the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and chocolate busts of his sultines of the Ottoman era, the Ayya Sofia , the Galata tower, Blue Mosque, House of Genzel and Gretel, to Noah's ark with his animals, to a huge statue of a turtle trainer, an elegant African woman with her child - everything is made of chocolate, to actual chocolate running taps …. Very nice place for kids and even adults too... The current entry tickets as at june 2022 is 150 Turkish Lira (150TL). There is this amazing toy museum floor called sweet village …. for children where popular cartoon characters are exhibited, legendary musicians , fairytale heroes like Micheal jackson, spider man etc . Finally the best part for me is the chocolate fountain or waterfall, you get to pick a disposable spoon to fetch from , thing is you can only use one and dispose off in the bin . If you want more you have to pick another spoon , They let me pick two spoons that’s how lucky I got 💃🏿 Did I mention that the chocolates tastes great especially the chocolate fountain? 🍫🤤😋 This is a must visit for anytime you find yourself in Istanbul. This museum is open to visitors 7 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. There is a sort of chocolate making workshop for those who wish can see in full detail how chocolate is made, While enjoying the unique smell of cocoa. 🍫 #chocolatemusuem #chocolatefountain #istanbul #turkey #tourist

Impeccable customer service experience! Wonderful story telling showcase regarding the evolution of cacao beans into chocolate making. The soul of chocolate embodies in Istanbul. Various remarkable landmarks, historic figures, cultural heritage and legendary characters enriches the place. Outstanding detail in chocolate formwork with miraculous craftsmanship elevates the bar to the top notch display level. Proportions of the displayed products made of chocolate are so accurate. The flow of the museum layout is so smooth and joyful. The chocolate store placed in the Istanbul Bazaar resides extensive chocolate variety. Infomercials are so didactic and thoroughly designed. The color variety and choices in the interiors are very impressive and effective. In short, every single detail is thought and very well executed to make you get the real immersive experience. Overall rating 4.9/5 for a museum. Note: 5/5 is only God’s discretion

Nice place, has a lot of chocolate statues and miniature attractions. We enjoyed our time there with the kids. Entrance ticket went up to 50 TL (it used to be 40 pp a couple of months ago). The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was quite. The museum is adjacent to the Pelit chocolate factory and it's quite far from city center. We took bus no. 76D from Yusufpasa bus stop to a nearby stop called Fabrikalar and then took a taxi to the museum, it took us more than an hour to arrive but it was worth it.

Wonderful place full of historical monuments made from bitter-milk-white chocolate and short informations in front of them, it was lovely experience since I’m a 🍫lover. At the entrance you pay 200 turkish liras and they give you chocolate as a ticket. (Edible😊) Also there is free chocolate treat before entering the museum which was tremendous to eat. However inside the museum there was a choco waterfall which has non-fresh chocolate, you eat with clean plastic spoons, I did not get second spoon of chocolate because of its old taste, I think the machine of waterfall should be cleaned and checked if there is a problem.

A very nice place with delicious chocolate waterfall and chocolate museum attractiins. Fun for the kids and all, but they have nice cafes and overpriced souvenir shops but thats all nice. The transportation though was tough. No public transport reaches the place and its more difficult to catch as much as a taxi on departure. Its a factory reclused in a compound so you'll have to walk out for about 15 minutes to the nearest town square to catch a taxi.

I would just like to share my opinion with you about this place. To start, I think this place doesn’t deserve to paid 250₺ for the entrance it’s a bit much, then at the end when it comes time to try the chocolate fountain we just have to test once, nonsense. better place I can recommend for children and all adults who like things like that. That’s all.

It is a cute place.. The tickets value is high. the best sections is the mosques section (the blue mosque, Al aqsa mosque...) the kids museum is nice but it would be better if the factory part are more seen and the kids could see the chocolates production line.

Awesome museum !! Thanks for everyone who has contributed so far.. A must see place for sure.. The best chocolate museum I’ve seen in the world so far, and tastes very good :) The only recommendation would be: there should be a small chocolate production unit (not just a movie) so that people can see the production step by step.. I saw it in Cologne and liked it..

Great experience all around, but it's expensive. No special price for kids. The visit would make more sense if you have kids with 10+ age, otherwise they wouldn't grasp many of the displayed icons/sculptures

  • 4/5 Muhammad A. 1 year ago on Google
Fun place for kids, prices are inflated comparatively, the choklate tastes good, overall it's worth visiting if you have kids because they'll enjoy it.
