This was my 1st night in Thailand, so I couldn't wait to get tucked into some authentic Thai food and Khaw Glong Thai and its amazing staff delivered my expectations of eating in Thailand. We are a family of 6 with differing tastes and spice tolerances, they have a clear guide on what is suitable with myself having "3 - Thai spice level", I was questioned on my over enthusiasm but fortunately is was a perfect match for me. The food was incredible, I think my dish was the best, followed closely by the Basil and minced pork. Would recommend highly

Personally, I would make the journey back to Koh Samui solely for the Penang Curry and Minced Pork – they were that exceptional. The staff's friendliness and the ambiance add to the overall superb experience.

Contrary to many reviews, I can only give 3 stars for this restaurant. First of all, the price is most definitely not cheap, at least with asian standards, at this price point it can match some of the best restaurants. This and the very positive reviews may have lifted my expectations too high, the food is not bad at all means but it just didn't live up to its name. Other than this, the service is great and the place is nice. I'm sure many will be satisfied despite my opinion.

Great traditional Thai food restaurant. The staff is very friendly and you feel welcome. They say that they bring food slowly, but actually it’s not an issue because it was pretty fast. The food looks and tastes great. The prices are really decent. You can tell the waiter what spicy level you like in 4 levels. Also if you don’t like lemongrass for example, they can get you the meal without. I would highly recommend it. We had the Panang chicken curry.

Amazing authentic Thai food. We had loads of different dishes to share but the highlights were the tamarind ribs and the duck stir fry. Fresh food and great service could not recommend enough. Off the Main Street in a very quiet and charming area not touristy at all. The owner came to our table at the end of the meal and told us a bit about her restaurant she was so lovely

I can highly recommend this place for a dinner. The food is very tasty and prepared with fresh and local ingredients. This also means that the waiting times are a bit longer - but the food tastes even better. Prices tend to be a little bit higher, but it is definitely worth it because the quality is very high. The restaurant is often very well occupied.

Recommended and was very nice. Good service, nice decor, tasty food and not too expensive. Also do veggie options of almost all their dishes!

Services: 5 stars Foods: 4 stars The services of owner and staffs surpassed the food expectations. Price is slightly high but portion is big and ingredients is fresh. Overall, enjoyed our meal. Get ready to queue too.

We had dinner here and the food was very good. When asked about veggie options, the waitress said that anything can be made veggie as they make everything from scratch. She then actually suggested a new dish that they had started offering with deep fried tofu and fried basil leaves with a tamarind sauce over it. It was delicious. I had the chicken with cashews over rice and it was one of the best that I’ve eaten so far. My wife had a veggie noodle dish and she loved it too. We would both highly recommend this restaurant.

Khaw Glong Thai stands out as the premier dining destination in Samui, offering an unparalleled culinary experience. The star of the show is undeniably their Pad Thai, a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that leaves a lasting impression. The restaurant’s commitment to authentic Thai cuisine and impeccable service elevates it to the pinnacle of gastronomic excellence in Samui.

Amazing food, so well presented. Up market place with midrange prices. Could not fault anything.

We returned to this restaurant after 3 years. Had the steam fish, tom yum soup and stir fried morning glory. Ingredients were very fresh. Cooking was authentic thai- style. Did not disapoint and highly recommended.

We ordered a tum yum seafood fried rice, a chicken pad seow, and a mango smoothie for dinner. The pad seow was delicious, the tum yum fried rice was too oily, too salty and lacked flavour (which could be due to the fact that I asked a no spicy level of spiciness), and the mango juice was disappointing (they add sugar and bottled mango juice, making it the whole thing too sweet and the flavour artificial). Make sure you bring cash as their wifi doesn’t seem stable enough to accept credit card payment. Staff was friendly and honest when recommending dish and food quantity to order.

Cannot fault this place! Great ambiance, great food. There was a big queue when we arrived, but the restaurant managed it well, and the wait was shorter than I thought in the end. Had the morning glory, shrimp tempura, and the stir fry curry duck - everything was super delicious and well presented. The virgin pina colada was the best I’ve ever had- it was a smooth frozen slushy. Would 100% come back again. They just made a mistake on the bill and gave another tables, so check that if it is busy
