5/5 Viktoria 5 months ago on Google
We
had
a
standard
(i.e.
smaller,
2-people)
bungalow
for
9
nights
and
were
satisfied.
Blackout
curtains;
mosquito
nets,
AC;
safety
box
in
the
room.
Cleaning,
change
of
towels
every
day.
The
pool
is
big
and
clean,
pool
towels
provided.
Hammoc,
sun
beds.
There
is
a
2-floor
common
house
by
the
pool
for
just
reading,
staying
in
a
long
chair
relaxing.
Very
calm
place.
Vast
territory
with
lovely
bungalows,
rich
variety
of
tropical
plants;
feels
like
being
in
a
forest
or
a
sanctuary.
Has
its
own
restaurant
open
till
16h
serving
Thai
food
and
some
European.
We
ate
there
once
as
we
were
mostly
visiting
away
during
the
day,
Thai
coconut
soup
was
ok.
Friendly
receptionist
lady.
Very
close
on
foot
to
Mae
Nam
Pier
(Lompraya),
and
to
the
sandy
beach
which
was
huge,
empty.
The
sea
is
deep
immediately
after
several
steps
in,
water
not
transparent.
Absolutely
worth
taking
a
bungalow,
not
a
room
(difference
ca.
5
€)
-
bungalows
have
beautiful
terraces
and
privacy.
The
"double
rooms"
are
one
beside
the
other
in
a
litte
building,
just
a
table
outside
and
lots
of
echo
while
talking.
*All
local
taxis
have
fixed
prices
per
zone.
While
the
bungalow's
car
charges
500
baht/car
for
the
airport,
the
others
on
the
street
(walk
right
after
exiting
the
entrance)
charge
400.
We
booked
a
ride
for
the
airport
at
the
bar
on
the
right
side
of
the
street
(a
couple
runs
that
bar,
the
guy
is
a
driver
but
during
the
day
mixes
cocktails
at
his
bar
along
with
his
wife;
they
have
little
kids).
The
car
was
modern,
clean,
AC,
comfortable,
the
driver
speaks
good
English
and
is
super
friendly.
*
Side
note.
If
you
want
to
do
tours,
read
reviews
carefully
and
then
decide.
The
island
tour
recommended
to
us
by
the
reception
was
done
unprofessionally
(not
bungalow's
fault).
Generally
all
tours
in/from
Koh
Samui
are
overpriced
and
lame.
The
island's
offer
is
spoiled
by
the
number
of
tourists,
and
quality
decreased.
They
almost
openly
treat
you
as
a
wallet,
not
a
person.
Prices
are
also
very
high
compared
to
tours
done
on
e.g.
Koh
Tao
-
which
is
a
marvellous
island
just
a
ferry
ride
away
from
the
pier.
I
would
now
do
it
differently
-
organise
an
island
sightseeing
by
just
hiring
a
driver
and
agreeing
on
a
list
of
pre-chosen
places
to
visit,
and
a
price,
that
would
even
cost
less
than
the
package
prices
invented
for
the
crowds
of
tourists.
