Home-style Southern Thai cuisine. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an opportunity to try a local dish, cooked with local ingredients and fresh catch. Their signature dishes are those made with “Why” - which are basically tiny squid found in the local bay. Their dishes can be very spicy, even for a Thai so I’d recommend order a combination of mild and spicy dishes to balance things out. Semi-outdoor seating. Beachfront view - as in you literally sit with your toes in the sand. It’s not a fancy place but it has a casual, very local vibes. Parkings are available on the street.

Great seafood... unfortunately we came later in the evening and they'd sold out of whole crab 🦀 (my fault not theirs) beautiful location with beach seating if you like sinking in the sand at the expense of an amazing panorama. Food arrived really quickly and very fresh of amazing quality. Off the beaten path (although on a main road) supported heavily by locals. I recommend everything you see on my post. Enjoy. 🙏🏼🦀

Great experience at this restaurant. Came here to try some authentic Koh Samui seafood and didn’t disappoint. We found that prices are reasonable, paid less than 800 baht for crab stir fry, squid coconut cream soup, sea urchin salad (hoy men), and spicy sour fish curry (gaeng som). Would recommend coming here if you want to try some seafood dishes Thai style. Very different offering to the restaurants around Chaweng Beach. Also overlooks the peaceful Bang Por Beach which adds to the experience

Its hit and miss with this place, sometimes menu items not available, sometimes table service is not great or kitchen is slow or maybe entrees come last after the main course. Coming here for 8+ years, slightly renovated since the pandemic. Most tables inside are wooden bench seats. The view is lovely of Bang Por beach, sky colours, they often have tables on the beach if tide not too high. Menu in english is well layed out, easy to read by seafood item, but some ingredients are still not easy to understand for a non thai. Its all plastic plates used here. They serve free kuppi (fermented fish paste chilli mix) in coconut shell with veg for a snack (a bit spicy), and free fruit plate at the end of the meal. The lovely owner is always there in the evening, a lady (sorry I forget her name) if your not seeking perfection, then this place is good in Bang Por.

Good price point. Good variety of menu, especially local cuisines and seafood. I’d consider the dishes inexpensive yet portions are slightly smaller than expected. Crab meat, octopus, shrimp were all fresh. Good vibe with seaview too. Another recommended place.

We came here based on a recommendation from a travel guide. The recommended dishes (sea urchin salad) weren’t really what we hoped for, but the small whole fried fish were tasty and they have a huge delicious looking menu. I’d totally go back to to try out some of the many many options. People were also super nice and it’s right on the beach so the vibe is lovely.

I have passed this restaurant many times the last three weeks, always very busy with locals. Where I come from, this is normally a very good recommendation. Tonight I gave it a try and maybe its just my tourist expectations that failed this place. The "greeting from the kitchen" and the fruits afterwards offered where certainly more than the portion of what I ordered, never mind they forgot the rice I ordered. I don't wont to condemn them, but there are many more restaurants wich are so much better on this beach.

Highly recommend this restaurant - delicious food, beautiful location and friendly staff. After being disappointed by the restaurants so far and lack of flavourful, local cuisine on offer, Bang Por delivered some real Koh Samui dishes. Hot and sour, salty and funky, entirely delicious and as it should be! All whilst overlooking the peaceful and picturesque Bang Por beach.
