Calm place, enjoy walking there. Fascinating sculptures, creative use of space and stones, interesting story about creator. You can walk on both sides of a mountain stream. Beware of mosquitoes – there are a lot of them. Nonetheless, this place can be more clean and well-groomed to attract more tourists. The entrance cost 80 baht.

Best experience I had so far. This place is truly mystical. The theme looks like straight out of tomb raider :D jokes aside, it was totally worth the entry fee, the place is clean and you have plenty to explore. There weren't too many tourists at the time I was there. I'd recommend coming in the late afternoon (3 or 4pm) when the sun is a bit down to add a little to the atmosphere.

Truly a magic garden full of magnificent statues and plants. It is small but very charming. Don't be afraid to visit it during noon as trees will save you from the heat and it's always chilly there by the river. Be careful not to slip on the rocks! Entrance is 80 baht. Totally worth a visit if you are in Samui.

This is a truly magical place. It's set on the crest of a mountain in a stream bed in a cloud forest. There are high altitude orchids growing on everything! As a plant nerd, I was spellbound. The terrain is a little challenging, so if you have mobility issues this may not be the destination for you. Wear good hiking shoes and bring your camera.

Nice day out visiting the Magic Gardens of Tarnim. Good pass time and getting steps in. Lovely and tranquil. Make sure you have mosquito spray on as near lush green areas with water. Steep walk down to the gardens. If you are elderly may have to consider as the steps are high too. Once down there just follow the path, you can go and use alternative routes but the choice is yours.

Amazing place, especially after rains, cheap entrance fee, perfect for half day trip to absorb nature and this beautiful place. No need tickets in advanced or arranged tour. Can get there with bike or a car fairly easy, and buy tickets at the entrance.

Tarnim Magic Garden, also known as Secret Buddha Garden. Would be great if you have tour guide to provide context and history of the place as it is very interesting. Otherwise, I do recommend reading up on this place to gain a more in-depth understanding. The entrance is 80 baht, with plenty of parking around. The place can be quite challenging to reach if you are riding an automatic motorcycle, as there are plenty of steep hills. So please make sure your vehicle is in good condition. The place is very calm and peaceful, with plenty of interesting Buddha statues and small architectures with meaning behind it.

We came here by scooter after visiting some waterfalls nearby. This is spectacular what this man built in the jungle/garden. You can see it is very old but worth the visit when in Samui. We wandered down the stream and had a swim in a rock pool. Went up again to where the garden starts and had another swim whilst enjoying the zen feeling this garden offers. I recommend visiting by scooter and then go to the waterfalls on the same road.

Small but nice garden. Nice to see all the statues. Entry was B100 or something. Really nice drive towards it.

It was a bit underwhelming, really - you could be finished here in about 15 mins. Nice statues, but a lot smaller than expected. Also, too many superficial people focused on stupid insta style photos of themselves blocking the view for everyone else.

This is one of the most magnificent bars I have had ever seen. It was establish by a third generation to Ryan farmer on the land that he inherited from his family. The garden is here to tell the story of Buddha and it is here to create a kind of heaven. They say that each time you come to this garden you will discover and you sculpture. You can also find the sculpture of the farmer who established the Garden somewhere towards the end of the garden. You can also come and meditate and don’t be shy to put your legs inside the water of the river for a good chill. From time to time you may also see some organized tours like Jeeps and ATV that Visit place.

It was quite strange in a good way. Firstly the road there is fine. Just walk along the stream, careful it's slippery. There are statues that range from unusual to pretty odd It's not a large area but it's well worth getting there. I really enjoyed it, and I really didn't expect to.

This place is very average in my opinion. I don’t know why so many people rated this place. The entry is 80 baht per person and you can spend some time close to nature surrounded by trees. That’s it, nothing special.

Beautiful place. A bit of a vertically challenging journey, as located on one of the highest peaks of the island, but well worth the payoff. Very serene and spiritually calming environment with a very interesting history. Would definitely recommend but be sure to stock up on gas!

Gorgeous place and very peaceful. !!!MOSQUITOES SPRAY RECOMMENDED!!! Entrance fee is 80 baht per person. We went there with kids (4 yo and under) and it was quiet challenging for the kids to walk through but theg still loved it. Definitely recommend to walk either barefoot, or with proper shoes as it can be quite slippery. It is quiet a "short" trip as it is not a big as we thought it would be but still a beautiful sight. Would go there again but without the kids. Best to take your time there, enjoy the waterfall, sitdown and enjoy the surrounding.

This is a small man made garden and it's actually so beautiful and magical. The drive to this place is a delight. We spent about an hour at this cute place. It has a lot of character and makes it a great spot to take some really good pictures. Absolute gold for instagrammers 😄

Fantastic daytrip to do on Koh Samui. Very nice garden and beautiful sculptures. Entry is 80 Baht but it's really worth it. The garden is easy to reach with a scooter, the drive is also quite the nice experience.

Honestly not very sure what to think about it this place.. quite strange but to pay 80b for it per person I wouldn’t 100% recommend. Just a weird little place I took alot of photos so you fellow googlers don’t have to check it out. Also wouldn’t recommend to come here from the north if you’re thinking about it. It’s a 1-2hour motorcycle off-road journey that could easily get you into some trouble. But the views along the way 10/10.

Cool little garden oasis tucked away in the mountains. ฿80pp entrance fee must be paid. I'd say it's worth checking out as it's secluded and has a cool vibe to it. Staring at the statues might freak you out especially if you're a little waved 🍃 but it is pretty small and if you're not intent on absorbing it's vibe a little you can see it all in like 5 mins. But we enjoyed our quiet time there being the only people there as we entered at 17:45 just before closing - we were able to stay longer past closing time since noone kicked us out 🤗

A fun little garden to go visit. It is mostly just concrete structures and statues. Definitely would be better during the rainy season. Take some mosquito spray with as there are pools of water around. The price is 80 baht. It’s worth it, spend the 20 baht you have left from the 100 on a water in the shop.

These were interesting to stroll around. They are small enough and probably only takes about 30 minutes from start to finish. The entry fee was only 80 THB which I thought was worth it.

I have mixed feelings about this place. There was an 80 thb entry ticket and some cool sculptures to take photos next to. The place is not huge at all and you are unlikely to spend more than 30 minutes here.

A real magic place to go and see. Coat 80 baht to get in. Amazing sculptures and houses, can go any hour of the day as it's covered by trees. Kid friendly as well they'll have fun exploring it all. A must go tourist attraction.

We had a great time at the garden. Although it was quite slippery, the scenery is lovely and we enjoyed it. It's a nice family event. We even saw a little turtle 😍

Indeed a magical place! It mesmerizes you as soon as you reach- its beautiful, quiet and has corners for you to dip your feet in water and have a quiet, relaxed time. The route is beautiful and best enjoyed on a 2 wheeler. Not to be missed!

Really pretty place! We took scooters to the garden and it was a little confusing to find because there weren’t a lot of signs but it was super cool. Nice to see a different part of the island with more jungle! I would definitely recommend if you are in the area! I think it was 80 baht per person!

  • 4/5 Stephanie D. 8 months ago on Google
Nice little garden with statues. Although the statues look old, I think they're fairly new. The cost was 80b per adult, and it doesn't take too long to walk around. Note that the drive up is steep, and there are some great lookouts on the way. Wear mosquito repellent!

This was an amazing garden to see. Not seen anything quite like it throughout travelling the whole of Thailand for a month. And the ride up the mountain to see it was pretty cool with lovely views despite the weather raining for us.

  • 3/5 Prateek K. 11 months ago on Google
Place is beautiful with statues which seem old and amazing. But it's very short, like you can see it all in matter on 5 minutes and it wasn't really worth the entry ticket of 80Tbh each. I wish it had more to offer.

The secret buddha garden is a very special place. I really recommend this spot to be seen by everyone who is doing Koh samui tour. The garden has a special atmosphere with all those amazing sculptures. The garden was made by a retired farmer who worked on it from his 70 years until he was 91 years old. You will see all kind of sacred Thai animals all over the place. Also some ancient Thai sculptures from their mitology. The whole place is cut with a small “river” what you can cross and see the hidden sculpture in various places. The place can be visited by yourself or with an organized tour. Both ways are safe and will give you a comfortable time.

Nice-relaxing sculpture garden for nature lovers. Good for a break from the heat. Best time 5pm-5:30pm

Tranquil and calming location. We came as part of a jungle tour which made it a bit more crowded. If you are making your own way here try and time it to avoid the tour arrivals. Bring mosquito repellent and enjoy the cool air in this mystical place.

  • 5/5 Zule M. 1 year ago on Google
Really, really beautiful garden. Definitely worth seeing! I feel like it might be more mystical if it's cloudy or raining.

  • 4/5 Sofia w. 2 years ago on Google
A wonderful area, really cosy and a lot of different statues. It would have been fun to have some more information regarding the history of the garden!

  • 4/5 Jenn R. 11 months ago on Google
Nice peaceful place to get absorbed in nature and the shapes of the sculptures whilst hearing very calming trickling water. It’s not as big as I expected which is good in a way as it makes you really slow down and appreciate each one instead of racing around to see it all… because if you did that it would be over in a flash. Wear some bug spray / insect repellent! Lots of people taking photos too, which can sometimes pull you out of the zone of just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere - but it’s a tourist spot right?

I found this to be a very interesting place. Everywhere you look and go there is something more to see. The 80B entry fee is okay, same price for everyone. Some areas needed a little repair, but otherwise it’s in good shape.

  • 5/5 Arran 1 year ago on Google
I really enjoyed these garden's, lots of photo opportunities. There is a small entrance fee of 80 baht. It's worth a visit just for the views on the way there.

  • 5/5 Dallas E. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing and unique place to visit. It was beyond expectations. Waterfalls, rock carvings andore all telling a visual story. A must see for your own eyes

  • 5/5 Dawkins H. 2 years ago on Google
Saw this on Paddy Doyle's YouTube channel so wanted to see this fun place for ourselves. Worth the 80 baht entry fee. Needs some maintenance and the paths are slippery so take care as you feel the fairy dust swirl around you-kind of like a fine mist in this place.

  • 5/5 Za. c. 2 years ago on Google
The trip up of Koh samui was already worth it. It's 70baht to enter the secret garden which really isn't that big. But still worth a visit as the statue, water and building was beautiful. Almost like being in the movie tomb raider.

  • 4/5 William S. 2 years ago on Google
Worth it. The road inside the jungle to get there is also nice. Cost = 80 baths. It’s not really big but it just gives a different energy and almost transport you back to ancient Thailand with your imagination as to what these characters or setting must have meant. There’s indeed a little bit of magic

  • 4/5 Sonja N. 2 years ago on Google
It worst to visit once, maybe. But place doesn’t impressed me like a cultural center at Lipa noi - Nathon area. Too gray)

  • 4/5 swasti p. 2 years ago on Google
The drive up is quite nice and mountainous. The garden itself is small, but kind of magical. If you have time to chill, go have a look. You won't spend more than 20 mins inside the garden, and the coffee shop outside is shut these days. But we still enjoyed the trip!

  • 4/5 Zoe L. 2 years ago on Google
Tickets purchased at entrance. Small garden with lots of concrete/stone statues. Most of it can be seen with a 15 minute walk. Down in the ravine, you can see a waterfall and the temperature is much cooler.

  • 4/5 Flo W. 2 years ago on Google
Very nice place but a bit of a ride to it. Nice ride through the hills
