What a wonderful elephant sanctuary. This was a genuinely great experience from start to end. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel and were picked up by the staff. On arrival you were ushered to a reception area were drinks and coffee were served. After a short introduction of the sanctuary and explanation how the tour will be conducted, we were given an educational overview of the elephant anatomy ect. After that every guest was given a basket of food that you were allowed to feed to the 16 elephants while walking across the tree top walk. The best part was the up close encounter with the elephants and making the power balls that you were allowed to feed them. The while experience took about 3 hours with lovely Thai lunch served to you. Everything was freshly cooked on site and kids had enough non spicy options. Great tour and wonderful staff. I highly recommend this place!

You can feed them selfmade vitamine food, banana and special grass. Then u go for a walk with them. You get all personal stories of the Elephants and there past. De keepers are 24/7 watching and caring for them. It's a real Sanctuary, if u want to see them, go to this place, help them so they van safe more! They do not ride the Elephants and you see that they are good taken care off! Food is good, the guide did a great job!

Booked the trip through our holiday rep in resort. 3000 bhat per adult, 1700 per child and under 5 free. Picked up from the hotel at 0800 in a air-conditioning minibus, friendly driver. On arriving at elephant Kingdom, the driver instructed us to book in. In the arrival area, there is locker to place bags in. At the entrance there is free refreshments, water, coffee, hot chocolate and green tea. There is a short talk about elephant Kingdom and the elephants, and what to expect from today's visit. The first activity, is to make mix food in to food Ball before feeding them to the elephants. Second activity, is to walk along the sky walk and watch the elephants in the enclosure, there is another chance to feed the elephants from the sky walk (bananas and grass) Third activity, to go in the enclosure with the elephants and get pictures close up. There is a guide with you at all times and let you know where to stand and where the elephants like to be stroked. Dinner is provided, chicken nuggets and chips for the children. Fruit, Spring rolls and pad Thai. Coke and water. There is some free time to look at the gift shop before being taken back to your hotel. As a family we enjoyed the experience at elephant Kingdom. Taken loads of pictures. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The host who shows your around very helpful

Amazing discovery, we were going to the waterfall and ran into this amazing elephant sanctuary. Not only it is a wonderful place with a skyline walk to see the elephants, but everyone is so respectful with the animals and so welcoming !! They even allowed us to go in the park with the elephants, incredible experience !!! The price is more than ok, only 300 bath to feed the animals and stay with them. A must do in Koh Samui! Thanks for everything, we had the best time !

Wonderful life - changing experience! Staff is simply wonderful, elephants are happy and chill, and every detail is thought -through. Being in this sanctuary is like being in another world, closer to the nature. Loved every second, and the lady is right, they have the best vegan Pad Thai!

An absolute must when on Koh Samui. We loved this experience. The elephants are happy and they facilites everything to be as close to their natural habitat as possible. You get to feed the elephants and hug them. Would love to come back. Big shout out to our guide Bon, great job and lots of knowledge! Some good jokes too.

This was an absolut fantastic experience! The elephants are threated really good, the will of the elephants are respected and they‘re not forced to do something they don’t want to. This place is perfect if you want to see and touch elephants, but if you want to ride them or watch them do silly stuff, you have to go somewhere else.

This place is spectacular! Amazing to see Elephants who have effectively been ‘rescued’ kept in such nice surroundings and treated so well. Was quiet when we visited and our tour guide Ing was extremely good. The owner collected us and dropped us back to hotel and you can tell he is very proud and hopeful for the place. Carefully feeding the elephants as opposed to riding or bathing with them felt like a much more respectful experience. The food was extremely good and I would recommend this as the best place to visit in Samui if you want to see/be near elephants and respect their space. A perfect morning. Ps. I have reported the 1 star review as it is absolutely not a review of Samui Elephant Kingdom.

What magnificent creatures elephants are. Here you get to prepare their food and then feed them. You will also walk among them and interact with them. There is a sky walk to enjoy and feed the elephants again and see them play in their pool. Afterwards enjoy a meal in the restaurant. Well worth it!

Very nicely done place to see and encounter elephants! Bug improvement compared to old safari at the same place. Elephants are free range with a lot of space, walk in the sky is nice and you can feed the animals from there. They look happy and healthy.

This is the most comfortable place for tourists to see, feed and, if you want, to get in close contact to elephants. The guide and founder of the park, Poom, is a really good and humble guy, who wants to tell and show the visitors, who the animals are and everything about them. It was a beautiful visit. The skywalk is also beautiful, you get a food bucket for the skywalk, from where the elephants can be fed. After the skywalk, you can go inside the enclosure and pet some elephants. Just above beautiful, how calm and gentle these giants are. All animals have their own keepers, who keep great care of them. I will recommend this to everybody, who wants to make such a visit in Samui. Thanks to all the staff, everybody was very kind.

We booked through their website and all went smoothly! The driver was excellent, and the tour guides were amazing. They have many different tour guides to cover many languages, we had three join us, English speaking, Chinese speaking and German speaking. So we broke off into little groups so everyone could make the most of their tour guide and the information being shared. There were three activities throughout the day, first making protein balls and feeding the elephants, then we went on the sky walk where we were taught about the sanctuary and how each elephant came into their care. On thr sky walk we were table to feed them bananas and grass. The third activity was walking with them, we got to meet the elephant carers and the elephants themselves, after a few pats and more bananas we watched them go for a dip. Finished off the day with a lovely pad Thai lunch. Highly recommend this tour!

After searching hard for an ethical sanctuary decided on this place. And was absolutely not dissatisfied. The sanctuary is amazing. Our guide (Guitar) really was passionate about her work and the animals they care for. You get to make their food. Feed them. Then get up close and personal. But absolutely no bathing them or, even worse, riding them! And the food served at the end was really tasty. Pad Thai a-roy maak. We booked the ticket via the hotel for 3,000THB including shared transportation to and from the sanctuary. It is a bargain at that price. Well worth the price.

Could not recommend this place highly enough, second time we have visited and will again next time we visit Samui. Wonderful experience for both adults and children. The staff are amazing and make you feel more than welcome as do the elephants if not only for the food. 😂😂 After visiting Samui many times and seeing the abuse of elephants it is refreshing to see that has pretty much stopped and places like this now offer a much nicer and kinder experience. Don’t miss the opportunity if you are ever here! I would add that anyone who has posted a one star review stating they paid $100+ to feed bananas and couldn’t get close to the elephants likely visited a different place, there are a few on the island ! Don’t be discouraged by their reviews they are incorrect 😀

What an amazing place to learn about elephants and interact with them! The sanctuary has 16 elephants that staff saved from elephant shows and the logging industry, among others. They seem to be very well taken care of and happy, living as how elephants should close to the wild. The tour was very well organized and led by kind and knowledgeable staff who answered all kinds of questions. You get to feed and pet (in a gentle and respectful way) the elephants which is a surreal experience.

We were impressed by the Elephant Kingdom. The operation has been in place for about a year under current management and they have done a great job of creating a nice natural but also interactive environment for the elephants. There are two options, one just a feeding and another where people can walk with the elephants. We were with a small child and also due to the heat we decided to just feed the elephants out of a basket containing grass and bananas. There is a small shop in front to escape the heat and buy some drinks. A bit pricey at THB950 per adult but elephants do eat a lot and it’s good to reward owners who don’t treat their elephants like circus animals. Recommended!

Couldn’t be more happier for visiting this place! Everything was amazing. The place itself look cosy, the staff are really nice, all elephants have been taking care very well and the foods was so tasty. Special thanks to Khun Nuch and Khun Ing for being our guides and provides so many good knowledge of elephants. If you thinking of feeding and wanting to have a fantastic time with elephants I highly recommended this place.

Absolutely the best experience ever! What a wonderful place! The elephants are very happy, loved and so gentle. It was fun to make the food for the elephants and feed them. The caregivers were extremely helpful and informative. They clearly had a strong connection with their animals. You cannot miss this experience!. It was a very chill atmosphere with no rigid schedule. The price was so reasonable too.

This is what an elephant sanctuary should be like. These rescued elephants are treated incredibly well and there is no riding them or having them working. Our guide Tuna was knowledgeable and couldn't have been more enthusiastic, taking photos while we made up some elephant food and fed them. We even got to go into their enclosure and interact with them and their keepers / guardians. Fabulous experience and hugely well invested and carried out for the benefit of these incredible animals.

This was the best experience ever. From beginning to end the service and accommodations were unmatched. I celebrated my birthday here and they made sure to celebrate me as a “special guest”. Don’t worry about coming alone - i came alone and they will make you feel at home. I definitely will come back.

Very beautiful and great place for elephants, you can obverse and feed them from the bridges that is great for animals. You also can make food for elephants and feed and then go inside the kingdom and pet. 100% recommended in Samui, nice staff and service

This place is amazing. The elephants are well-treated, extremely happy and live according to their own free will. After having researched for hours what constituted an ethical elephant tourism experience, we chose the Samui Elephant Kingdom which exceeded all expectations. It is quite a new establishment, and was actually once an elephant trekking site that has since been transformed under new ownership - its new purpose to rescue elephants. We particularly love this place because bathing with the elephants is not offered, as this is not ethical given that it encroaches on the elephant’s natural behaviour. Instead, it is heartwarming to see how much they enjoy bathing amongst each other. They will often come up to you voluntarily, without being told, so you still have the chance to meet them more intimately. Samui Elephant Kingdom sets a great example to others in the elephant tourism industry, showing that it is not too late to make the choice to be kind to the animals, and that this kindness will also be good for business. We left feeling inspired and very optimistic that similar rescue centres would open up. Thank you to the fabulous guides who answered our many questions and let us explore at our own pace!

I recently visited Elephant Kingdom Samui and had an excellent experience. The program is outstanding with a strong focus on the well-being of the elephants. The facility itself is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, attention given to the elephants is truly commendable. I highly recommend Elephant Kingdom Samui for anyone looking for an unforgettable and ethical elephant encounter.

This is a wonderful elephant park where they treat the elephants very well. We looked through many reserves throughout Thailand and this is amongst the best Thailand has to offer. All the elephants have plenty of space, look like they are not being forced into unnatural behavior and overall look like they are having fun! We could feed them a powerball with a lot of healthy foods and after that we could feed them bananas and leaves while walking on the sky bridge. After that we could join them on the ground and actually pet them. That is if they felt like it because they frequently ran off into the pool to take a bath with the other elephants. The caretakers were very willing to inform us about their natural lifestyle and any other relevant information. We had a lovely time here and we recommend anyone on Koh Samui to go by this park even if you've already been!

Very good experience and genuine passion for elephants. Highly recommended. Regarding treatment I was happy: no ties, no bathing with them, no riding. They live in a big space and seem happy. They have a clinic/hospital to take care of them in their facilities (for routinary check ups). You can get close to them, take nice pictures, prepare food and feed them! It was an amazing experience.
