Walked all the way here from Legarda st. Which is near Burnham Park. I think of this as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, although, the rainbow consists of obstacles and challenges. The Farmers Daughter is just located beside or in close vicinity of the Igorot Stone Kingdom. They're known for their Kinuday(smoked meat). I got the Dinakdakan and Kinuday Deluxe. Dinakdakan - creamy and tart at the same time. Loaded with cartilage on every bite. Also had a strong smokey flavor. Kinuday Deluxe - served with what I think of is homemade pita. The meats are all smoke which is Pork, Beef and Chicken. By itself, the pork had the most smokiness. The beef had a slight caldereta flavor. By eating it with the pita, veggies with vinigarette and the somewhat plum like thousand island dressing, the smokiness of the beef and chicken became more prominent than the pork. Highly recommended! Worth the trip. Parking on the other hand might give you challenges although I saw some parked on the road. Also, with Smart, it had no signal at all. I loved that the smokers and grillers looked custom, created from other objects. Better if you can try to reserve, from what I can see, it can seat around 40-50 people.

We had a nice meal here. The food was good, but not great. The service was good, but not great. It's a neat little place with a lot of character to grab a bite to eat as you tour around Baguio. It was nice and we would probably go back, but they're way too many other places to try while we're here so I doubt if we repeat.

Good food at nominal prices tells you how very can life be in provinces compared to a rush city life. Had very good experience here. Combined with the small museum and art exhibition tour in the same compound this was a nice addition to the Baguio trip.

Great local food. Quite a long que as it's a weekend but service is fast. Parking is horrible but good thing we have a driver. Loved their dinikdikan! Party of 9, we paid around 2700 pesos which is very affordable. Liked their hot sauce and vinegar take home products.

We went here mostly for the experience and it did not fail. Atmosphere was rustic. Food was good. Priced really fairly. We loved the wrap and the longganisa. Also the watercress salad is good. Must try their suka on the table.

It's where you can try local dishes of Cordillera. You can easily tell it's authentic because it tastes differently. However, it might not be to your liking. I myself find the dishes either bland or salty. But the good thing is I was able to try it. I guess it takes a little bit of getting used to. Don't come here with 5 star expectations as there is a risk you might be disappointed. The safest bet would be the beef stew and pako salad. We came here on a weekday lunch, and there were no crowds at all. Plenty of parking space, too. P.S. we got served with gritty plates and utensils.

A humble restaurant beside the Tam-awan Village, The Farmer’s Daughter stars Cordilleran cuisine on its menu. It resembles a big nipa hut with a familiar and rustic appeal. There’s nothing much to see inside aside from the wooden tables. The Farmer’s Daughter could be a safe option if you’re looking for comfort food in Baguio. They have huge servings with a generous amount of vegetables. Among the restaurants on this list, this one is probably the most affordable. Also, they only accept cash payments. Going here through a commute is easy, but returning to the city properly via taxi could be difficult. You better try their meat and veggie courses such as the Kinuday jen Manok, Pinkpikan, and Sendad jen Baha.

This place is one of my favourites due to affordability and quality. If you're looking for delicious local delicacies, this is a must go. Generous servings are indeed bang for the buck! The only drawback is the limited space to park your vehicles - it only accommodates around 4-5 at the same time but don't make this a discouragement! Make it a point to visit farmers daughter and you'll never regret! 😉

One of the best local restaurant who offers authentic highland fares. Your best bet is to go with staples like sinabawan nga sungo, pinuneg and kiniing and flush it down with freshly brewed Benguet coffee.

My friends and I love The Farmer's Daughter! It's a staple whenever we get to Baguio. Their cakes are the best ones in Baguio. (yep, even better than the ones in fancy cafes along session road) As always, customer service with a smile gets 5 stars.

Some of the pork dishes are outstanding, but at least one of the beef choices were a tough chew. Overall, the selection was a feast! The staff were great, too. More areas can be covered, though, for people in line during rush hours, especially when its raining, to make the wait more tolerable. Some items were also not available when we visited including all the drinks, except coffee, and we were told it was because of their suppliers. Hmmm. 😅

The food is good. Cordilleran cuisine in it’s own right. I ordered pork leg with beans but it turns out, no beans. Pako salad was good and the pork grill was good. Just anticipate a long queue as it is located near Tam-awan.

I'm a full-blooded Ilocano that's why I've been wanting to try this place. I grew up with authentic Ilocano dishes prepared by my Dad, uncles, aunts and even older cousins. Since most of them have lived abroad, passed on or simply grown older, I've been wanting to find a place that serves genuine Ilocano dishes. We arrived at the place at around 2pm and we were 6th on the list. We patiently waited for our table. Service was ok, mostly young guys assisting or manning the place. We ordered the following: Dinakdakan - disappointing, it simply lacks everything. I hope they didn't use mayonnaise like most commercial establishments. It kinda tastes like mayo. Lacks salt, pepper and even the sourness of calamansi. Can't even smell the distinctive smokey aroma. Pako salad - ordered 2 but was only able to eat 1. Vinaigrette dressing was more of soy sauce (why?!!!!) Blood sausage was lumpy and tasted weird. Mix mix - the only food we like (sautéed) This will be our 1st and last visit, too disappointed 😞

We ordered the pinikpikan (igorot chicken broth), grilled pork, mixmix, garden salad, and choco mouse for dessert. As an indigent (igorot) I am not impressed with their 'pinikpikan'. It has changed so much over the years and I can't taste the etag (smoked meat). It was very delicious back then, mapapa-pinikpikan-cravings satisfied ka talaga but this time I'm disappointed. Their grilled pork is always the best, super sarap!! I liked the pakpako (fern) salad but it was not available so we ordered garden salad. If you are a fan of salads, you will not like their dressings (they used cheap mayonnaise not yoghurt). And of course never forget their cakes. Their cake is a must to order or else it will not complete your dining experience. Back then they have the tea but they had removed it from their menu. It's so good to partner it for the cakes after meals but not available aymore so sayang... Overall it's still a good experience but not so great compared to the past.

Simple restaurant with authentic Cordilleran dishes! This place is right after Tam awan Village and ~20mins away from SM Baguio without traffic. Simple hut with karinderya vibe (in a good way!). Interior have hardwood tables and chairs. They have a dedicated parking area that can fit around 6 SUVS and roadside perpendiculat parking right after the resturant. Their smoked beef sliced (kinuday en baha) is tastes good. The vegetables they serve are crispy fresh. And their blood sausage (pinuneg) is garlicky, a bit on the salty side but very tasty. It’s got an after taste I think that i comes with Cordilleran preserved food. Might also explain the saltiness. Servers are attentive and responsive. It was a great experience! #whereisjecka

I've heard about The Farmer's Daughter Restaurant in 2018 when I visited Tam-awan Village but I never paid any interest in it.. Then somebody told me that it's the best in town.. Oh! That's the only thing I'd said.. Here comes an opportunity to travel this Holy Week 2022 and I grabbed it with open arms 😅😅😅 ..Banaue-Sagada-Baguio City Tour packages 😃. On the 1st day of our Baguio City Tour, we decided to eat there but the place is full of customers waiting for their accommodations. We can't even get a place to park our Van. So, we decided to look for another place to dine since we are so hungry to death during that time.. The next day we decided to have our breakfast there....again! And inorder to be the first in line, we stayed outside waiting for the resto to open. Unluckily, again!!! the store will be opened late for some unexpected events. The resto made us feel dismayed and irritated 'coz we were expecting that we can have our breakfast there 😪😪😪.. Luckily😃!!! the one talking to us, with the help of our tour guide Mr. Jason Tido, is the owner himself! He expained to us the reason why they can't open on the scheduled time and we understand his point.. To make it up for us, he reserve us for a dinner instead..@ 3pm! The resto closes exactly at 5pm.. We gladly accepted the offer! Then we left to wander in the City of Pines.. At 3pm we came back but still waited for some vacant table before we can get inside the resto.. I think we waited for half an hour but of course we ordered our food in advance! We ordered the specialty of the house. We tried the Kenuday (smoke meat) and Pinuneg (blood sausage) plus the Pako salad.. And all i can say is, that was THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED in Baguio City!!! And it's worth the wait and the patience!!!! To the owner, thank you for accommadating us! To the staff, thank you for preparing and serving our food! (Note: It's my 7th times in Baguio City)

love their native dishes! very reasonable price. best to go there early for lunch since the place is usually packed at noon until around 1-2pm, especially during weekends. not a lot of tourists nowadays so it's good to visit these local restaurants and have a feel of delectable native dishes.

Should definitely be jn the itinerary for everyone visiting Baguio. The servings are more than generous. Will recommend pinuneg and also their cheesecake! The kinuday was a bit tough so I didn’t really enjoy it even though the flavor was good…

Great food, service and ambiance. One of the best places to experience Cordilleran cuisine. Staff is attentive to any requests, ample parking space and most importantly, very delicious food. I just wish they bring back the paytoy (taro dessert) because it's yummy at the same time a guilt free dessert. Probably best for those with adventurous palates as it might not be to everyone's liking especially to those not used to cordilleran dishes. But, still worth a try 🥰

Food had always been great. I usually bring my guests here for them to taste an authentic pinikpikan. But unfortunately during our last visit we were served with really chewy and rubbery meat. Kindot's my favorite and will always come back for this. We also tried their cakes. They claim the best ube cake in town but were disappointed because the ube filling was gritty and cake was bland and dry. The blueberry cheesecake was not worth it too, it was all whipped cream. For 190 each we expected more. Big slices tho. They service was pretty bad. They just bring your food and place it at the edge of your table 1 meter away from you. There were flies all over too. I jope they can do something about this.

Good food, quite far from Baguio's central business district but just a stone's throw away from Tam Awan Village. A must try restaurant if you are craving for or just curious about Cordilleran cuisine. For vegans they have several vegetable dishes like sauteed watercress and sauteed Benguet vegetables. Surprisingly their bitter gourd salad is good and a must try. However meat is their specialty like the Kinuday and other Cordilleran meat dishes, if you are feeling adventurous try the pinuneg (blood sausage) or the sungo (pig snout).

  • 4/5 Mickey P. 8 months ago on Google
Got the stir fried pork, longganisa and pinikpikan. Loved the longganisa. The smoked pork tastes like smoke bacon though on the chewey side but as expected on a smoked meat with no fat. Pinikpikan could use a little more flavor for my taste.

A very unique, native home, mini-gallery ambiance. They gave unique twists to native dishes that tourists will appreciate. Reasonably priced as well. Parking is available but very challenging during tourist season as they're just adjacent to a popular Baguio tourist spot (Tam-awan Village). Recommend visiting the area on weekdays if you appreciate peace and quiet.

They have excellent food and pastries. Their blueberry cheesecake is a must try. Servings are not that plenty but the taste is worth the price. You'll have to wait to be seated in since this place is mostly fully packed with tourist and locals. Had my lunch here on my 2nd day in Baguio. Also, there are fruit vendors outside that can give you a really good price.

must try local igorot dishes. pinikpikan chicken soup is smokey and tasty traditional chicken soup. blood sausages is another must try. order fresh fern salad which is not easy to find elsewhere. food is reasonably priced from PhP 150-200/order good for one person. dining is casual and usually frequented by families and group of frieds, regular patrons. finish up with delecious ube/purple yam cake, cheese cake, or carrot cake with generous servings for PhP 100-150/slice ( i say good for sharing).

Went here for lunch because of the high ratings. It was jampacked and people were lining up. Had high expectations, but got a bit disappointed with the dishes that we ordered. They were too salty for my taste. Maybe the chef/cook just had a bad day. Haha. Will give it another chance when I come back to Baguio. Let me know your experience when you try it. 😊
