Shocking that this is a Hilton branded property. Told me I would have late checkout. Lied. Also bed bugs. Sirens blaring all night. I would stay anywhere but here. Motel 6 is better and way cheaper. It’s not safe. It’s not friendly. If I could give negative stars I would.

Good hot breakfast, and good wifi. Hotel and room were clean. The room was updated but the mattress and comforter could use updating. Despite other comments, I thought the location was good. I didn't feel unsafe and there were plenty of food options nearby (but given the freeway traffic, you probably shouldn't walk there). Plenty of business travelers and a few families stopping over on road trips.

We arrived at about 9:00 pm, kept the lights dim and got ready to sleep. The room was very cold but when we turned on the heat it sounded like a lawnmower started. When we finally turned it off we heard the footsteps above, us from the hallway, and room next door! In the morning I went into the bathroom and found used razors above the shower doors! Because we had the lights turned up I saw the chair I had sat in the evening before and was disgusted. I don’t normally leave reviews but this place disgusted me.

Beware at check in my husband ask about on site security. They said they have security and that they also had cameras. They broke in tried to steal truck and trailer. Along with thousands of dollars of merchandise and personal belongings. Damage our truck and broke glass. Then Morning clerk said no security that night that he worked previous day shift. Then referred me to the Manager. Came back assistant Manager said in fact when we ask he was there and left at 2:00 am they broke in around 4:00 am. I got a run around by Assistant and Manager. Also told by Manager cameras are bad. They would not give us footage. The travel lodge and restaurant next door were much more helpful. Had to contact CEO at Hilton to get a wonderful Guest Ambassador to help us. After reviewing additional sites, reviews found many break ins. When ask Manager why no one would tell the guest. She replied why would we tell you that? Save your self the headache. Read all review sites.

I’ve stay many times in this hotel And I’ve seen it staring to deteriorate, the service is good but when you want to just get to your room and rest from a hard day of work you don’t spect to see Urine In bathtub condom stains on bench and get in to a hot room after you work on a 105degree day. All they tell you is sorry and we’ll try to find another room for you, in which they will but it is frustrating. After $180 for one night I think they should do better.

The hotel is pretty good. Breakfast was great. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. But... It's the sort of place where they have security for the parking lot. Which is nice. Just... Maybe you'd prefer to stay in a place where they don't feel that's necessary. Close proximity to the Chevron was nice because it was easy to stock up in the morning and continue our drive. And there's a little dog park/pet area behind it. If it weren't for the weird people around, this would be a great spot.

Called several times to confirm an earlier check in. They kept telling me to call back. We could not check early, after the front desk said we could. The lady at the front desk was rude as hell! Terrible customer service. We had to wait till she called us when our room was ready, she never called. We waited till 9:30pm. The guy Jose at the front desk was rude as well. He thought the fact we had wait 6+ hours for our room was funny/or a joke. The outlet in the room didn’t work. There was red/brown smudge marks in the blanket (gross!). I never come back here!!

We had to take a rest break from driving and found this remote hotel and apparently reviews says it’s not a safe area to stay but we realized that in the morning. This place has free breakfast but very conservative and limited options. No vegetarian friendly or gluten free or dairy free options. I ended up eating some potatoes and thank goodness they had decaf coffee. The lady at the front desk was nice and she asked the kitchen if they could make an omelette without ham. They said it would take them 40minutes to make a single omelette…. Seriously!!! We ended up eating outside anyways. Very disappointing!!!!! Don’t know if all the Hampton Inn hotels are this way but will not be staying at these hotels again.

The sheets in our room had makeup stains, the bathtub had muddy water spots, and it looked like maybe soda had spilled on the bedroom wall and was never cleaned up. The room smelled dirty. The staff were quick to replace the broken light bulb in the lamp, and give us new sheets. The breakfast was good and the kitchen staff helpful. Will not stay here again due to the cleanliness issues.

Well it was a yes and a know but I was only using it for work so I guess I could deal. I stayed Sep 20th. The yes was the staff for promptly finding me a clean room even though I booked 5 minutes prior so kudos to them. But the room itself for me could have been a bit more cleaner and better placement especially cause I’m a member but like I said it was a last minute reservation. Bathroom not so good, had a hole in the wall, showers head was somewhat clogged. The A/C wouldn’t stay on and when it did come on it sounded like an old car trying to start up. The headboard was a bit filthy looking so I slept at the foot of the bed instead and the microwave was not as clean as it should have been. The area was not so inviting but I had never stayed on this side of Bakersfield for work before so I wasn’t aware. Not too many snacks available but the did have some options. My view out of my window were windows of apartments next to them which made it kind of odd to have my windows open to have natural light instead of lightbulbs. Unfortunately I can’t see myself staying here again but like I said it was for work so.

Location was a little sketchy at night but during the day it was great! Check in, check out was a breeze and we got in late but our room was reserved until midnight. Rooms were a little dated but clean. Beds and pillows comfy and we all slept like babes. Breakfast was standard with scrambled eggs, sausage and yukon potatoes. Breakfast lady was super sweet.

Conveniently located in Central Bakersfield. Easy access off the highway. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean. Parking was a little challenging and filled up quickly. We had to park around back, in the not well lit parking lot.

This is the only hotel that we found that are pet friendly. The other hotels around not so pet friendly. That also serve breakfast in the morning, which is good. The food was good 👍🏻. Highly recommended. The beds 🛌 are so comfortable not like other hotels that their bed is hard and old. Will definitely be stay here next time we pass through.

Arrived after midnight, the parking lot was a little darker than preferred. It's hard to find Diamond or any ADA parking. Ended up parking at the restaurant across from the hotel. Walked in door and there was another party waiting to check in, there wasn't anyone at desk. We called back for someone, tried calling on the phone, and still didn't get anyone. Digital keys were not working on the app, so neither of us was able to check ourselves in. After about 10 min, the guy came and checked us in. The room was clean and comfy and nice and quiet. Hated hearing the fridge hum all night, but I prefer to have the fridge option, so I will live with the hum. Breakfast had some nice options and there was a nice patch of grass outside door to walk dog. I would stay here again if in the area.

If they didn’t have security in the parking lot, I wouldn’t give four stars because it’s not an area where you feel comfortable walking around. The front desk people were great — helpful, friendly, available, knowledgeable. Good, quick and easy breakfast. The lady working the breakfast stuff was keeping everything stocked, clean, etc. The refrigerator in my room had a Pizza Guys salad and two cans of Coors Light beer left by the previous room guest. The multi function/spray styles shower head didn’t work very well. Lots of the options had clogged/non-working spray jets. Also, the water pressure was very low.

I highly recommend Hampton Inn Central Hotel. It was very comfortable and clean both times I stayed during my trip. The customer service and free Breakfast was excellent, plus all the great amenities. 5 Star Hotel.

The staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. We found our room cleaner than most other hotels we have stayed at. The included breakfast was fantastic. It came with a larger than normal selection of foods. We had nothing to do complain about.

Typical room, friendly host at front desk. No funky hotel smell. Room didn't get cleaned daily. The Internet is not gaming worthy but Netflix works fine. Nat Type 3. ( With the additional fee services). Breakfast is typical for a hotel.

The one issue we had was cleanliness. The floor carpet was sticky. Also the sink in the "suite" is smaller than that of a regular room. Lastly the photo does the details but they need to be cleaned under the sink, all the pipes and such. It's disgusting to see while you're using the toilet. Otherwise the room was clean, the window needs some lubricant too, hard to open.

Not a fan of Bakersfield, but we had no choice but to stay here due to circumstances that were out of our control. This place is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the room was pristine. I recommend this hotel if you're travelling through this area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Hampton Inn. The front desk staff were accommodating and friendly. I want to give special recognition to the housekeeping staff, because my room was spotlessly clean! They did an incredible job!

We stayed last week at the Hampton Inn in Central Bakersfield. I want to compliment Sheila at the front desk . She had the best customer service that I have seen. She was so helpful, attentive and cheerful in answering questions and making you welcome. Great employee. Thank you Sheila. Please give her this response. Mickey Castro

They work hard to keep the place nice, and it shows. Super friendly staff. Clean rooms. Walk to at least five different places to eat. Next to a busy intersection, so there’s some traffic noise. Good spot.

Mostly good hotel. Definitely dated and not in a great area, but they do a good job of keeping the property clean. Staff was great. We were there the same weekend as a boys baseball tournament, and the staff did the best they could keeping up with the messes those boys left. Fitness center is decent.

They are racist. If you are a minority or a mixed race couple expect to be racially profiled and harassed. Pretty sure the security guard is a proud boy every time my bf walked out to smoke or to the store the security would press him out asking a million questions not to mention when we checked in they literally put us in a handicap room right next to the front desk which was already annoying because of the traffic that obviously would be going thru the lobby so it was super noisy the whole night but pretty sure from the second we walked in they wanted to keep an eye on us. Crazy part is we saw other reviews saying this but some were old and we really didn’t want to believe it but it’s true. We watched the security press out every minority that even came close to the parking lot but say nothing to some white belligerently drunk men loud and hanging out in the parking lot. Will NEVER stay here again. We were visiting the area for a week and left as soon as we could and stayed up the street. I normally don’t even leave reviews but it was just too much to not say something. Spend the extra 10-20 dollars I promise it’s worth it.

Rooms were clean, the location was central. Breakfast was satisfying. Check in and check out were quick and easy. No complaints about this hotel or the experience.

Overall the hotel is nice. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was beyond polite. The location was a little bit sketch for leaving the car in the lot. It isn't fenced in, but is monitored by security.
