located on 17k Ft. above sea level Aanso lake is a wonder in itself in Nothern KP region.most difficult summit after K2 and Nanga parbat it was nerve wreking experience.we made our plan after going to Saifulmalook lake on jeeps and then started our trek to aanso lake.it took us 6 hrs with 16km active ascent and 3 peaks to catch and the last one was hell difficult, we finaly made it and the feeling was priceless..A must see for hikers.only the high Morale can lead you to Annso lake, that was our inspiration...

What an amazing piece of attraction, fully recommended to trek to this lake, 5-6 hours of trek to reach their. Cautions: Bring water (2 bottles for one person), If you are trekking not riding the horse then bring sticks to support you and also chocolate and onion with you to make your breath easy and support your body with low oxygen condition. Go there on sunny days so that rain or fog do not disturb you because of sharp corner and inclines of path.

Ansoo Lake, which literally translates to teardrop lake, is a tear shaped lake located in Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the province of Pakistan. It is located at an elevation of 4,245 metres (13,927 ft) above sea level and considered one of the highest lakes of the Himalaya Range. The lake is situated near Malika Parbat, the highest mountain in Kaghan Valley. The name of the lake owes to its teardrop shape the Urdu word ansoo means "teardrop". The lake is said to have been discovered in 1993 by Pakistan Air Force pilots who were flying at a relatively low altitude over the area.

Ansoo Lake is situated in Manoor Valley, Kaghan Valley in the Mansehra District of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is located near Malika Parbat in the Himalayan range. The lake is said to have been discovered 1993 by Pakistan Air Force pilots who were flying low in the area. Earlier, the lake was not even known to the locals. There is no place to stay at Ansoo Lake. Some people may camp on the top of extremely cold and windy mountains but it is very risky and even the locals do not recommend this. This lake can be reached by steeper trek starts from Saiful Mulook Lake. It takes more than 7 hours for a round trip to Ansoo lake starting from lake Saiful Mulook. The trek is covered with snow in most parts of the year. The best time to trek is from July 10 to August 15. The optimal time to set off for the lake from Saiful Mulook is around 06:00 in the morning, in order to return before sunset. Horses and guides can also be hired from the Lake Saiful Mulook. Don't go there if you are not a hardcore adventurer. It is very far and tough to reach by foot. You can hire a horse but you still have to walk at some points. It is NOT EASY. Once you reach there it's by luck that you can get view of the lake but if you can, it is the best experience.

Ansoo lake also known as tear lake...it is an alpine lake....after doing a difficult hike of almost 6 to 7 hours from saiful-malook lake, you will see this lake...track of this lake is very useful for those people who want to climb highest mountains ...so this track is very useful for beginners....the glimpse of Malika-e-Parbat(Queen of Mountains) is very beautiful ...you can also buy a horse from Lake Saiful-Malook...but i recommend you to do hiking and enjoy the nature.

we took a lot of pain just to have glimpse of this beautiful scene. It's called tear lake.In a folklore, it's described as formed by tears of 6 fairies who were captured by White Giant at Malika Parbat. It looks exactly like tear drop, I have tagged this picture with my previous gang with whom i tried to conquer it once 10 years before. It's an inspiration for them. We could have made it before but timing wasn't suitable. We were told by our guide that it's half hour walk left but this time i came to know 3 hours walk was still ahead us where we left and returned back.

What a good place on earth. It's very challenging to come over to this place as its very dangerous to reach this place. The tracks are tricky. You must book a horse if you are not hard enough mentally and physically. You will get wonderful scenes there and will have a unique perspective than other lakes in Pakistan. It's almost at 5Km distance from saiful maluk lake.

Hiking was too tough and i wouldn't recommend anyone to go there without a horse. Although, track and anso lake is beautiful but don't go without a guide

A beautiful Heart touching with jaw dropping mesmerising attraction for tourists. A miracle of nature, still absolutely preserved and pure. Trekking way takes about 4.5 hours on average from Saif ul Mulook lake. Diabetic and Cardiac patients, pregnant ladies and children under 12 are to travel with extreme caution due to track dostance by foot, elevation and fatigue. Please take sufficient water and food, rain coat, proper shoes and a local guide with you while visiting this place.
