A super place. The Albion appears to be a family and food centric pub with lots of happy faces all around. Lots of different rooms to tuck yourself away in, it's intimate, jolly or convivial. It's whatever you make it! The garden out the back is a real treat, mainly covered and with its own bar. A great place to visit.

Awesome place for a good old pub toast. Chicken beef or ham, it's the way to go! Pulled pork roast is particularly good, make sure you order the cauliflower cheese bake as the side. Goes down with a nice cold British larger for £5 - cant go wrong! Be sure to book a table outside if the weather is good, it's gorgeous. No umbrellas on the tables so bring sunscreen, strip off or cover up, she gets hot! Enjoy!

What has happened to this place. Used to be humming with the sound of people and filled with the smell of the best gastro pub food in London. Went yesterday and was on my own in a ghostly shell of a place, woman behind the bar should’ve been pleased to see me it was so quiet instead I was greeted with the kind of un-energetic welcome I would expect in a £1 shop. All the tables empty no bar mats, menus, candles, cutlery, place felt cold, unwelcoming and closed, the music was from an app and they haven’t even paid for the adverts to be turned off, what a joke. I remember a bald chap that used to work here full of cheer, energy, chat, banter and usually got me to spend/stay longer than I intended to (Lee I think his name was) upon this visit just 1/2 a Guinness and out of there as quick as possible. This place needs a change before it dies! J

My new favorite pub in London. We came for a quick drink, but ended up staying for Sunday Roast. The Yorkshire pudding was delicious - it was crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The roasted veggies were actually roasted and not soggy from the meat! The star of the lunch was actually the Scotch egg. Perfectly jammy and runny on the inside, but crunchy on the outside. They also had a kind of mustard sauce that we kept eating along with our potatoes later in the meal.

Generally like this pub. Had a very disappointing experience Sunday. When we arrived, we were told that there was a 50min delay on food, which was nice to be told. Ordered drinks etc was fine. 50min turned into 2 hours, large groups in the dining area arrived after us, eaten and were leaving as we were still waiting (we were a party of 2). We were some how forgotten about. When our roasts came the meat was nice, though the only veg was half a carrot each, no other colour on the plate. Also the pork was missing the crackling, I had to ask for and was really nice when arrived. I have had lovely roast here in the past so was just a little frustrating to wait 2 hours and food not being too great. I think another frustrating thing was there seamed to be no one around to speak to us, or apologise. The waitress was nice, though she had no idea how long we had been waiting as she took over from someone else. We had to speak up to get any one to engage, no idea who the Manager was. I hope this is a one off as the pub was so busy and standards are not slipping, only reason I haven't given one star is because of a good experience here before and the meat was nice.

Used to love The Albion then it seemed to go through various staff or management changes and the prices skyrocketed. I would frequent this pub because of the great staff, comfortable atmosphere and sit on the back patio and play board games in the summer. After a few more returns it's seems that they are slowly getting back to where they were before. Lots of updates inside have been done with new paint, refinished floors and a very nice canopy in the back so you can sit outside when raining. Still enjoy the albion hope it continues to get back to where it was 2 to 3 years ago.

Amazing pub with a quality Sunday roast. Their outdoor seating areas are almost unparalleled as they have a nice patio in the front and a massive space in the back. Highly recommend for their food, atmosphere and beer selection

This is one of my favourite pubs in Islington. Not very impressed with the music but the spacious garden and the room with candles and classical decorations inside are lovely. I had Black pudding Scotch eggs, marinated prawns with garlic sauce, sticky toffee pudding and apple juice. I went there on a bank holiday, but I didn't have to wait for long. The waitress was okay but the female young manager seemed a bit grumpy, and unaccommodating. Maybe she had a bad day.

Food was 5⭐️ but overall 4 Service and setup were grand. Could be improved but I’ll be back for the grub alone - Whitebait 🎣- unreal portion size for the price. Such a good beer snack - scotch egg 🥚 - best I’ve had. Lovely spice - Ham hock terrine 🫔- seems an odd order but beautiful - Chips 🍟 - giddy up - Burrata 🪤- unreal. The tomatoes with it 👌🏼

One of our go to neighbourhood pubs in Angel, Islington. Perfect atmosphere and outdoor space with lots of sun out front. Food has been hit or miss over past year or two.

Great starters scotch egg and white bait, but the mains arrived just after our starters, and quickly taken away. Sunday lunch mains disappointing dry roast potatoes and pork very tough. Beef ok but well done.

Best pub to get through the winter. Get a table by the fireplace and window. Amazing fish and chips, great mushy peas and also a huge heated garden in the back to grab a drink.

Beautiful pub/restaurant, 2 fireplaces in the front, massive and very pretty back garden. I had the beef Sunday roast and it was good, but they only served 2 slices of beef with it and they were very fine and not really sufficient. I’m rarely one to complain about portions but it was a bit surprising, same for the leg of lamb. Will return for a drink or another meal but not the roast.

Nice experience. No stress dining. Try the Dorset Sea Bream fillet served with brown shrimps, samphire and brown butter. For dessert, i recommend the 'Double D' tart with pistachio ice cream.

Very impressed with this pub. Great inside space. Everything a traditional pub should be - candle light, roaring fire and comfy seats. Lots of space both inside and out. Mellow soul music playing added to the relaxed chatty vibe. Landlady wasn't the most outgoing but this didn't detract from the experience. Would love to come back and try the food. Even have their own Albion beer which I am informed is brewed by The Lanes Brewery.

One of the best roast dinners I've had in London.. quite possibly 👍🏾💯.. it's a busy n vibrant place with lots of helpful staff, for us on a Sunday.. and even whilst sat outside under shelter with our blazing hot heater, a first for all of us.. the meals, all different roasts, were cleared from their plates, perfect roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, tasty veg, my lamb cooked perfectly and not forgetting the tasty gravy! I would eat here again happily. Quite often your typical London pub roast is disappointing or very average.. well done guys, see you again soon..

Lovely pub with a lovely kitchen! The food we had on Sunday was great and good portions - the only downside was the lack of veggies that we seemed to have… This was due to the kitchen running out unfortunately. Aside from this, we can’t wait to come back and try our luck again.

Amazing place - very very beautiful outside, chill during lunch time not to crowded during week day. We have good food and the service was very kind ! Big up to the team working here. See you again very soon.

I booked a table on Sunday, a very hot day, and the staff were very accomodating in ensuring my table had a umbrella and I was in the shade. The service was great and the food arrived quickly. The garden is excellent and feels like a secret hidden spot away from the hustle and bustle of London! The food was lovely. Will definitely be visiting again.

The large outside rear garden is currently covered with large canvas roof with plenty of interspersed heaters, making for a very comfortable and warm eating/drinking experience. The food is good but not necessarily interesting enough to warrant repeated visits, but it's definitely a great space for a couple of drinks if nothing else.

Came here with a 15 persons group of girlfriend's/colleagues for Sunday roast. I had the pork roast which had one of the crispiest crackling I've ever had in London, and a highlight for most of us. Quite a few of us had the sticky date pudding, however it had obvious granules of sugar - maybe the caramel sauce was rushed?? We ate them anyway since it's too much of a hassle to send back half a tables worth of desserts. One star docked because whilst staff were generally friendly, they could be more attentive - for example, one of my friends had the vegetarian roast, but was given meat gravy... The front house staff also took a while to direct guests to the booked table even though it didn't look like a busy day.

Decent roast but have had better. Was mostly disappointed in the gravy as it was very thin and runny and lacked flavour. Felt the meat and veggie quality was lacking a little. very cute inside though. Scotch eggs were very good.

Very disappointing roast dinner and heaters broken. Most salty gravy I’ve ever had in my life, hard carrots and parsnips and average potatoes. Will not be returning. Lovely staff though!

Had a fabulous evening on Monday night. The staff all covered so much ground as every table was taken which leads me on to a big thanks to Ash for squeezing us in and then a bigger thanks to Lee for above and beyond service and wonderful white wine knowledge. I will be back very very soon. Thank you guys.

Lovely pub with character. We sat inside, and the tables are well spaced out. Had Sunday roast (beef) - delicious, sizeable portion of meat, however the veges were on the scarce side. Staff are very friendly and the service prompt.

Got seated outside by a cold heater. Asked if there was any table available inside and was told no. Saw that a table inside was empty the whole time we were sat outside. we ordered beef Wellington roast. They got the order wrong and brought out sirloin. We had ordered a side of cauliflower and asked them to bring that out while they remade our roast. They didn’t. We were very hungry by the time our food came and the restaurant offered nothing for the inconvenience or for the delay. Best to avoid

The gravy sauce for sunday roast is good but I had lamb roast and the taste was strong lamb meat. Good garden but good and drinks are very expensive.

Really lovely pub in a quiet neighborhood not far from Upper Street. The drinks were all delicious including the bloody mary I started with. The burger was exceptional as were the accompanying chips. I appreciated that mayo and ketchup were provided by default. The outside area is very well covered alright we shifted to another table to gain a bit more sunlight as it was only mild weather. The service was ok but we did have to chase on a couple of occasions. This might have just been a shortage of staff versus our ample patience but it wouldn't stop me coming back. Also, really good sticky toffee pudding.

Food & menu was fabulous! I did find with the big tent out the back it was very dark and glum in the back garden so would recommend sitting at the front or inside.

Great friendly staff and the ambience was beautiful. Have to give 3 stars however, due to having fish bones in my fish and chips. The staff were very quick to change it and offer a new plate. They were great! The food in general was nice, but the batter on the fish was quite sweet (due to beer batter) and was very thick. It made me very full very quickly. The ceasar salad had anchovies which was different, but it felt a bit soggy. Had the sticky toffee pudding after, and was missing the stickiness. The toffee was very watery and the ice cream was placed in this liquid which melted into the liquid very quickly. By the time it was served the toffee liquid tasted very watery with melted ice cream. It could be plated differently and the toffee liquid made richer.

The Sunday roast (pork, chicken, beef and vegetarian) was delicious, although we could have used more gravy. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing; wouldn’t recommend the chocolate cake or trifle. Service was..rough. Lots of people working but difficult to get an order in and we were there for a good 3 hours. Overall, would recommend just be prepared for a long afternoon.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Albion. Initially had a meal within our group in the covered outdoor area and later inside the main bar. Lovely pub, food was really nice and the place had a good atmosphere.

We had a reservation for 8pm and it was after 10pm when we got our mains. Some kitchen mix up. They absolutely should have offered something in the way of compensation like a drink or something. Food was fine but not mind blowing for the price. but too many little things were wrong like not giving steak knives with steak, one of our party got their main 10 minutes later than the rest. Not having the correct sauces with meals. Bringing the aide orders out 15 minutes before the mains and then having to take them back into the ktichen to keep them warm. Basic mistakes everywhere, laughable stuff. We then didn't get to order dessert cos the kitchen was closed. Imagine an 8pm booking not having time to get dessert. There were only 6 of us, not like a massive group. I wouldn't be back nor would i recommend it. Not quite 1 star but not far off.

Amazing Sunday Roast! We had the beef and it was delicious. The pub is so lovely and the staff were very friendly. 10000000% recommend the roast!

Lovely pub with very well thought out outside space. Very young crowd on a Saturday night. Food was OK - nothing special - expensive for what it was - you are paying for the area! Burger was dry and really nothing special - for £16 I wanted a little bit of elegance. Other diners very happy with their meals. Staff rushed off their feet but friendly and attentive.

Food is okish, I had a steak and a sticky toffee pudding. Meat was well cooked. Fries are huge. Crunchy outside, soft inside. drinks nothing special, they have beers, wines, cider , whiskey and gins.

One of the peaceful bar with good garden and better food. Staff were really nice and service is quick even in busy hours. Recommend for sure. Bit pricey though 😃
