Quirky idea but massively let down by poor management, staff and service. A few friends and I were attending for a pals birthday party who booked one room but was told that it was now unavailable upon arrival so they crammed everyone into the tiny room next to the bar. We made do and didn't complain as it was a great crowd. After this my friend was told that kick out was now at 11 instead of 12 which was apparently different to when they originally booked. Again he didn't complain but had to tell everyone in case cabs were pre-booked. Most of the people in attendance complained about how weak/watered down the drinks are.... We ordered a round of doubles and could barely taste the spirits at all. It genuinely tasted like a plain coke instead of a double JD. A few of us politely brought this to the bar staff's attention but they refused to look into it and said "I made it so I know, you ordered a single". When we showed them the email receipt they backtracked and said it was definitely a double that they made. If you find yourself having to go there, just stick to bottled drinks..... This place may be okay if passing with a friend for a quick (bottle of) beer, but do not book for a group/party otherwise you'll get ripped off and treated poorly. I can't imagine it'll last long which is a shame since the concept is great but it completely ruined the atmosphere which should be great in a small venue like this.

Terrible, really. The decoration and atmosphere were fine, but the drinks were appalling and expensive. You have to order through an app that whacks on a service charge - that means the cheapest pint of lager ends up at £6.05. Cocktails are £10 and mostly undrinkable - horrendously sweet and, in my experience at least, lacking in their most important ingredient: booze. An ‘Espresso Martini’ was served in a pint glass, which tells you all you need to know about the proportions.

This bar is right next to Deptford Stn before this place wasn't gentrified it was an eyesore but it seems to be improving the whole area in general. This bar is very small it use to be the arches now it's a bar I find the drinks expensive £10.00 for a cocktail you have to order online and you pay a service charge which is about £2.00 or more so if you buy two drinks at £10.00 it will total up to £22.00 for two drinks plus service charge. I spoke about this when I was there because the bar staff are not serving you at the bar only bringing you your drinks. It was a birthday party I went to she said it cost around £200 or so and if you break something you have to pay for it.

I absolutely love the ambience and decoration of the place - clearly a lot of attention and time has been spent on this. However, the cocktails have been consistently bad despite me giving it multiple chances. It’s a shame because they have a wide range of choice but I haven’t had a good cocktail from there before..

Just outside the station. Interesting venue, space outside in the sun and a cornucopia of style inside.

I came here for birthday celebrations. It was a wonderful place to spend the day. Super quirky vibes and can cater for all! I love the decor and how they do their cocktails. The Barbie cocktail was my favourite - suuper sweet! The staff were amazing and definitely made everyone feel welcome. The hats made it even better once we'd had a view. Little Nan's Bar is the full experience!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10

The service here is truly abysmal. It may actually be the worst I have ever received in a bar. - You have to order via a QR code, and then an additional service charge of 12% is added to every single order. They won't serve you at the bar. Seems like a convenient way to fleece your customers. Covid restrictions on table service were lifted six months ago... - Took 40 minutes for my drink to arrive, and even then, that was after chasing twice. It wasn't even a complicated drink... It was a vodka and soda. - The website does not email you a receipt. So you have no proof when your drink doesn't turn up. - We were told when booking closing time was at 12, they asked people to leave at 11. - Ordered a vodka soda at 10.35pm. By 11.10, basically most people were gone, and my drink was nowhere to be seen. Was being hassled by a staff member to leave. Asked for my money back - was initially told this was possible, then staff backtracked and made me another drink instead... The drink made was definitely not what I ordered. I was given a *delightful* concoction of white rum, cloudy lemonade and soda. I don't like rum so didn't have it and gave it to a friend. She said it was so bad she couldn't actually drink it. - Some people working in there have a bad attitude and argue with customers who complain about poor service, actually stamping off in a huff in front of said customers... embarrassing. The kitschy interior is fun but not worth the high prices, bad drinks, slow service and rude staff. There's much better places to spend your money in Deptford. Why should anyone pay a 12% service charge to be treated with contempt?

Really nice bar friendly staff. There is something about Pat butcher, love the style. The drinks are really really nicely presented and taste amazing. Table service with your phone online makes things covid friendly too.

So I came here for my birthday with a close friend because all my other friends were hopeless and let me say, the team at Lil Nan’s really made it a day worth celebrating. The bottomless brunch is a terrific way to celebrate a special occasion or “just because” (especially with lockdowns dampening the spirit this year!) The food was perfect party-bites, served on tier platters. The booze was flowing - all the cocktails are delicious especially the Bloody Mary: I would go as far to say the best! Dog friendly too and mine had a wonderful time spent here. Many thanks to management and team for hosting such a wonderful and joyful place.

Seemed like a nice venue however after ordering we had to wait over 50 minutes for a small bowl of chips. I tried a number of times to get a member of staffs attention but I was ignored despite signs saying people must be seated. After I spoke to a member of staff when I said we had been waiting 50 minutes she looked horrified that I was raising this as an issue. As their online app refuses to give you a receipt it's hard to address the issue. In addition the toilets have no soap or hands towels or drier so it isn't ideal in covid times. It's ashame because as a local I was looking forward to coming back for brunch or afternoon tea, but poor customer service has put me off.

Big love for Little Nan’s! It’s like getting drunk watching Blind Date at your gran’s house while celebrating the jubilee at xmas. I had an espresso nantini which, be warned, tasted nothing like an espresso martini but was strong and came with a club bar on it so I was very happy. Sat next to a traffic light and a shrine to Lady Di, opposite a leopard print sofa and a wall of Pat Butcher photos. A+ nonsense, had a great time

The staff we met, one young lady, was lovely but they seemed very short of staff with our food taking quite a while to arrive. The food was OK but we were expecting a little more than what amounted to a couple of sandwiches a couple of scones and 2 cakes for our £30 each. We never even got a cup of tea but to be fair I'm not sure one was included with the afternoon tea. The decor is FAB and FUN as were the cocktails.

Came here for my sisters 30th last night and cannot praise it enough. The drinks were amazing, the food was delicious and huge portions, the decor/vibes absolutely incredible but above all of that the lovely lovely guy who runs it went above and beyond to make sure we had a the best time. Will absolutely be making the journey to come back. Thank you xxx

Quirky little bar in the heart of Deptford with cocktails served in tea pots. With an East enders theme. Highly recommend.

My twin sister and I had our 30th birthday party at little nans and it was an amazing night. We’d been to little nans a few times before and always loved it there. Tristan and the team were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating for our birthday and made the night so special For us. They even named cocktails after us! We had the best night. The decor in little nans is stunning, so fun and unique. Service is always great, staff were so polite and friendly. There are indoor and outdoor areas and the place is spacious yet cosy. Food is also incredible. We had such an amazing night, one of my friends is also now planning to have his birthday celebration there. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you Little Nans!

The worst bar in London. You have to order drinks through a QR system on the tables - sure that's fine. But the catch is they then charge a compulsory service charge for every single order. When enquiring about removing the service charge at the bar, you are greeted with rude abrasive staff who on the night actually replied with: "well what about our tip?". Drinks are gross too so save your money and go somewhere else. This place is the absolute worst.

Lovely staff and brilliant decor! But feel totally ripped off £17 each for the most pathetic buffet. You will find better at a kids birthday party.. Drinks not included and very expensive. I came home hungry and sober 👍🏼

Me and friends went here last night and although the cocktails were brilliant- it would have been better if mine showed up! I work in hospitality, and I know how busy and stressful it can get on a Saturday night - so I waited 30 minutes before asking a member of staff where my drink was (I did pay £10 for it, with a mandatory service charge!) and was rudely told that my drink had been set out so they will not make me another one. Me and friends had been sat at our table the whole night, and my drink never showed. My friend had a similar experience, hers turned up 40 minutes after she ordered it and she had to ask multiple members of staff.

Got food poisoning. 1 hour after getting back, I was throwing up from their food, and my partner was bed bound. I went back to let them know, and there was no responsibility or validity given to my complaint. They claimed it was due to the alcohol, and completely dismissed me. Such a dirty, overpriced and disgusting venue, don’t recommend anything from this venue. Anything from anywhere else nearby is better for you.

Mad cocktail menu, lots of fun decor, you won’t be bored. Though, all 3 of our groups drinks tasted pretty horrid. Maybe our fault for picking out some bad ones, but felt like the reason was due to cheap booze / throwing random stuff together. We will ask them to recommend next time rather than guess. Anyway, worth a visit!

Thanks so much for an awesome birthday party on Sunday! Granddad's Shed is such cute and quirky kitsch venue, very cosy and handy to have some outdoor space too! We all had such a good time, playing our own music, enjoying the teapot cocktails and finger food and dancing to our swing dance tunes. Many of my guests had never been to Little Nan's or even Deptford and loved the unique venue and vibe! The finger food and cocktails were fun and most importantly delicious, Prince Harry & Lady Bet Lynch definitely were our favourites. And who knew chips and brie are a killer combo? Thanks for the gorgeous Victoria Sponge cake! Yummy freshly baked scones, fish finger sarnies, scotch eggs and sausage rolls. And my surprise cocktail and card - that was very sweet of your team! Tristan has been excellent in coordinating and event communication with me in the run up. I had an amazing celebration and highly recommend booking Granddad's Shed for your next shinding!

It seems like a nice quirky bar, I went previously a few years ago and loved it but recently me and my partner went and it was a hassle to get one cocktail to share- as you have to pay online we ordered one at a time (as you normally would) they ask for a 12.5% charge for every separate order which is ridiculous - so we ended up paying just over £30 for a drink. It came pretty quickly though the staff were vague about how to order online so it took us awhile to figure it out as the reception is also bad there and they wasn’t sure on their WiFi password. We didn’t stay for another as the price was not worth the cocktail more was put into the presentation with all the sweets than the actual cocktail - it was like the cocktails you’d have made up for a house party at 16 😅 I could have made it better as a teenager though they are strong they put enough alcohol in them.

I hired grandad's shed for my birthday and everyone had the best time! the staff were super friendly and even helped us create a long pole to do the limbo with. the playlist was very fun and my friends were all a big fan of the cocktails. I'd really recommend it, it's a great place for a birthday do! :)

Little Nan's has been one of my favourite haunts in all of London for years now - and now I live locally I visit for a pint of red stripe regularly. Their cocktails are fun, the decor is brilliant, and their staff are wonderful. They offer free rental of Grandad's Shed for residents of SE - which came in super handy on Friday (18/02) when I hosted a charity quiz. The venue were extremely accommodating, and even when Storm Eunice was giving it some outside, they remained cheerful and the Shed was really cosy and warm. Couldn't recommend it enough, can't wait to go back!

Quirky and fun. A strange collection of objects and art that makes the place truly unique. You won't be offered your cocktail by the glass but instead a mug. Nice to see an independent business doing what only independent business can do and be truly original in design and spirit.

Came here on a quiet weeknight and still had a great time. Decor is great, reminds me of a ruin bar! Although everything is still table service, you don’t get to explore much as you feel like you have to stay seated, and you’re forced to pay service charge even though we weren’t greeted with the warmest welcome, just told to sit down and order via the app, not the bar. Huge selection of drinks to choose from, and the cocktails are great, you get a sweet every time! They are served in plastics which is the only down side, but I imagine for good reason if it gets busy and you don’t want broken glass/cups everywhere. Would love to come back on a busier night and see how it compares!

Found this place by accident as we had to get off our train early as had a 2 year old and no bathrooms on the train. Staff here were so helpful and accommodating and the indoor decor is amazing. It also has a lovely outdoor seating area

Had a lovely time at bottomless brunch! Drinks were refilled super quickly, food was great, some picky foods and then sandwiches and chips (doesn’t sound a lot but it was really filling). Cocktails were strong unlike other bottomless brunches. Waiter was super friendly. Decorations were so quirky and made it such a vibe. Me and my partner had a great time, thank you!

I had my 25th birthday at the fabulous little nans and went for the boozy bottomless brunch. I had 11 of my best pals with me and every single one of us had the best time. The atmosphere is just brilliant. Feels like you’ve fallen into a fancy dress box at a circus on a carrousel! The space is great and makes it easy for everyone to feel involved and social which was great as a lot of my friends hadn’t met before yet it felt so chilled and easy for everyone to talk. I had made the mistake of forgetting to mention about a few dietary requirements of some of the guests but our LEGENDARY hostess with the mostest sorted it all out and everyone had MORE THAN ENOUGH to eat! The food was brilliant and a really nice range in sweet and savoury bits. Music was such a vibe and had everyone n singing a long and having a boogie in no time. The drinks were awesome, love the teapot cocktails! And to top it off!! I even got a personalised birthday cocktail served in a HUGE vase. I feel we may have overstayed our welcome… but it was so hard to leave! We all love Little Nan’s!! Thank you for making my birthday the BEST birthday ever!!
