Regulars are the most condescending people I have ever met at a bar, especially when they lose at pool. They should be cutoff from alcohol earlier than they are. That being said bar staff are polite, and it has food options. Have given this place 3 strikes. Its out.

A great bar with incredible music on the playlist. This is a local spot but don't let that intimidate you. It just means expect strong drinks and good people and a douche free zone. I'd skip the quesadilla.

I ended up at Spirits as the result of a comedy of errors in the friend group that I was meeting up with. When I arrived, it felt like an episode of cheers where everyone knew each other and I was going to be the odd one out. But the bartender was super quick, attentive, and didn't make me feel like I was going to be ignored in favor of the regulars. 10/10 would visit again.

Great and friendly vibe. Eclectic variety of 80s music on Fridays. Go in on a Friday to visit Meredith. Her 80s/punk/metal style is very refreshing amongst a sea of people who are always trying to keep up with the latest trends. Her outfits are a feast for the eyes and her warm personality will make you want to come back.

Excellent experience! While my bestie was having brain surgery at Johns Hopkins I walked down to this neighborhood bar. I met the manger Dave and the bartender Merideth. Awesome people they listened to what I was going through and they were so kind and understanding. The environment is awesome and so is the clientele. Good music everything from punk, rock, and pop. But it definitely wasn’t to loud. A total non judgement zone. All different walks of life. Great pool table also. I will be visiting this bar every time I’m in Baltimore. This is definitely a hidden gem in charm city! Thanx Spirit Tavern!

Music is always on point, the bartenders and the regulars make the space welcoming and always interesting. Has a spooky Baltimore punk vibe. Try the Tub of Fun or the Baltimore Classic! Pool team is the best in Baltimore, but don’t let that scare you away, the table is open to all. My favorite bar in all of Baltimore hands down.

I’ve never been told “no” when I’ve tried to order food before at a bar lmao. Wanted to order a small plate of nachos on Thursday night and the bartender said she couldn’t do it bc she was “slammed” even though the bar wasn’t remotely full. Another guy who worked there very kindly made us the nachos anyway and the bartender who told us we couldn’t have food charged us for them 🙂 I’ve worked in a restaurant, I’ve seen what weeded looks like. If you can’t handle a bar of 10 people maybe you’re in the wrong biz

Cool bar; nice staff; free pool. Easy spot for Taco Tuesday. Enjoyed myself and was able to keep distant from others.

Spirits is a Baltimore staple. Come for the tub of fun, stay for the pool. This is a classic bar-bar.

My favorite bar in Fell's. Chad, the owner, always make us feel welcome. Free pool is such a plus. Great crowd and good drinks. I can't wait to try the Charm City Mead.

Love this little neighborhood dive bar. It has a great historical bar feel with a wooden bar, tin embossed ceiling and low lights. The bartenders are fun, the pool table is free and they make great simple tacos, chips and salsa and quesadillas. Wednesday it's dollar off tacos and when the Orioles play they have hotdogs!

You're typical Baltimore bar the bohs always cold and the bourbon always flows... It seems that have a regular cast of regulars.
