We were in the neighborhood and decided to dine in at Jimmy's Famous Seafood. Our last visit was several years ago for a breast cancer event, and the food was amazing, and we just had to stop. The parking lot was a tad full, but we managed to find parking near the front entrance. Be careful when opening the door; there is no clear view of anyone exiting. Once we entered, the hostess immediately assisted us and took us to a table. Our server, Davquan, was so attentive to us. He constantly checked on us , made sure we were comfortable, and made sure we enjoyed our meal. The food was amazing.

Came here recently for dinner, my first time—food was awesome! Service was great—our server was super friendly and attentive. To start, they give you complimentary GARLIC bread, not regular but garlic bread!!! The Famous Crab Dip was really good and it also came with garlic bread. The Half and Half Soup (half Cream of Crab, half Maryland Crab) was very flavorful. We really enjoyed the 8 oz. Crab Cake ($34) and Sea Salt Aged NY Strip with Seafood Imperial, and the sides were good too—Baked Garlic Mashed and Charred Broccolini. For desserts, the Carrot Cake was delicious! For cocktails, I tried the Cucumber Crush and Orange Crush—both tasty but a bit too sweet for my preference and it didn’t have much liquor. But drinks were reasonably priced, $9.50!

First time experience this past weekend. We were in the bar. The food was SO GOOD!! My husband and I were hoping they lived up to the hype. My seafood pasta was so delicious!! All of the portion sizes are huge. The staff at the bar were really nice. We didn't have to wait long to order and she was very attentive to answer some of our questions about the menu. Thank you for the experience and we will be back!!😋

When I tell you everything was excellent! Food could have been a little hotter than it was but no complaints for real! The waiter was helpful, the atmosphere was just right, and the company! More alcohol in the drink next time tho😂😂😂 Yep, the bill was over $200 Gratuities are already included that's when you know the food should be on point at all times. I think this will be one of my next bday celebrations! 🥰🎊🥲🎉🎊 Oh, I recommend the soft-shell crabs for real! 🥰

One of the best seafood restaurants in and around Baltimore. Food was great and service was exceptional. I really liked the Tuna steak, egg crab rolls and the chocolate Milkshake

Went here twice, and each experience was great! The food was great each time. We got a variety of things. We started with the crab cake egg rolls and fried calamari. Then we got one special Surf N Turf, seafood Burrito, and Crab cake with it. I personally got the crabby patty with fries, which was amazing. We also got an Orioles Roll, which we all enjoyed. My best friend got the surf n Turf that he loved. Then my wife got the Seafood Burrito, which she was supposed to get sweet potato wedges with but got chips instead. She said the Burrito was mainly fried rice but it still had good flavor. But she did order the Crab Mac and was awesome. Overall, great experience and food, plus I'd like to add that we've sat at the bar area both times.

I'm a foodie and love seafood and local restaurants. The food here was just unremarkable to me. And very pricey for the quality. The Crab cake eggrolls were delicious and I wish I would have gotten that as my entree. I got the fried oysters bc I love them and hadn't had any in awhile. I don't suggest it. My daughter got the Crab cakes and she enjoyed it. The apple bread pudding I got to go and it was a very generous serving. It was good, but didn't have enough apples or raisins in it. All in all...good but not great. Nothing to write home about.

Pleasantly surprised at the space and indoor dining room. Great service from start to finish. Friendly staff. Made a reservation on open table, texted when I arrived and was notified when my table was ready so I didn’t have to wait indoors. Had the calamari and crab egg rolls to start. Everyone in my party had the crab cakes which were large but lacked a bit of flavor. Would be top notch if they had more old bay. Also market price was $70 which is quite steep. Overall enjoyed my experience but would most likely not get the crab cakes again.

Food was pretty good. Seafood tower ($70) was robust and fresh. Wished we got butter for the crab though. Service was slow, though not busy so by the time the waitress came back, we had finished half the crab and didn't need butter any more. The cheese dip was good. Sushi was disappointing, the sushi topping was the best part. Got the Zeus Roll and the salmon was so dry. Again, service was really slow so it also took a while to get napkins, plates and silverware after food was served, and we only got one pair of chop sticks after asking twice. Also was not provided any bucket or anything to put the shells in from the tower.. Drink specials were good, margaritas were pretty good. Music was good but SOOOO LOUD, when a waitress came outside she was even surprised at how loud but we eventually had to ask for it to be turned down because she never did 🤷🏽‍♀️ Sushi roll, 3 drinks, tower, and cheese dip was $121. Pretty normal for the area and food.

This was my first time here, and I'm sorry that it took me so long. The server we had was super nice and very helpful. We got the Jmmy Five Tower, and it was a lot of food, even for the three of us. Everything was delicious. I got a really yummy drink with blueberries in it--yum! I got the scallops for an entree, and they probably could have been cooked a bit more, but all in all, it was a great place. Highly recommend.

The seafood here is delicious, and the restaurant’s interior had very nice decor. We ordered the Crab Cake Egg Rolls, Famous Crab Dip, Jimmy’s Oysters, and Fried Jumbo Oysters. The Crab Cake Egg Rolls, Jimmy’s Oysters, and Fried Jumbo Oysters were all excellent, and the fries on the side were also very good. The only disappointing part of our meal was the Famous Crab Dip, which had too much cream and too little crab. The garlic bread that came with the dip was actually slider buns, not authentic garlic bread. However, we had a great overall dining experience here and we will definitely be back!

Would definitely try again enjoyed the crab egg rolls , crab dip loved the bread served with it and the calamari had what a believe to be a mustard sauce(don't take my word for it im not sure) that is one of the best I had in a long time. My friend had the grouper(I think it was grouper. Sorry, I forget stuff quick) asian style, which I tasted. It was sweet and cooked well. The mash potatoes and crab mac and cheese were my least favorite. I try crab mac and cheese a lot and finally come to the conclusion, It's a combination that isn't good together. The mash potatoes lacked enough flavor. Definitely, if I'm in the area, I would return. Very happy with the meal.

Food was fantastic! The shrimp were plump and juicy. Everything was very fresh. I had ordered the cucumber cocktail and had thought it was a bit on the sweet side. I said I didn’t mind keeping it, but my server (Jennifer S*) had noticed I was barely drinking it and she took a shot at remaking it for me. I loved her version and ended up having two! Definitely an awesome move on her part. We will be back for sure!

I hardly ever give 5 stars. This place by far deserves it. Food was phenomenal. Everything cooked perfect. Crab cake was best I've ever had and I'm from the eastern shore. Delmarva.... highly recommend experience at least once

Jimmy's is a Baltimore seafood legend. Located a little outside the bustling downtown area, Jimmy's offers plenty of parking, an expansive dining room with plenty of big group sized tables, great service, and more seafood options than you can shake a fishing pole at. They're best known for their amazing jumbo lump crabcakes, but they offer so much more, even sushi. I had a blackened tuna steak with mango salsa, it was a little overcooked, but still very tasty. The crab egg rolls were a fun starter, and the selection of Smith Island cakes were a sweet end. The service was spectacular, as our server stayed late to take care of us, even though we were the last table of the night. Visit if you're from out of town, it doesn't have that touristy vibe of some other Baltimore seafood restaurants. It's a bit pricey, think upscale steakhouse prices.

Amazing shipping! Solid box, insulation to spare and plenty if ice packs to keep everything cold. Egg rolls were shockingly great, very little filler. The crab cakes were amazing The sauces were flavorful The cooking directions were clear and easy. Best way to have the best MD crab when you are far away!

Jimmy’s Seafood is the best restaurant in Maryland!!! Alex was the best server. He made sure we had plenty of water, drinks, and essentials throughout our 2 hour dining experience. The portions were way more than we expected and the food was delicious. We had lamb chops, crab cakes and stuffed lobster. It was a special occasion for us and my father in laws first visit and he was extremely impressed. My family will spend all special occasions here. They simply did not miss!

Food was delicious. Waiters were very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and nice. We went here for our anniversary since it’s a little more than what we would usually spend on going out. It was well worth it and we would certainly come again.

I stopped here on my way to NYC because I love anything with crab in it. I got a crab cake and a crab egg roll. Both very delicious and very fresh. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Notes :: Great Food | Very Pricey | Mandatory Gratuity **Excuse the pics😬😬😬 we immediately started eating 🤤🤤*** My grandparents drove up from the QC specifically for this place and were not disappointed!! The food is really good, the crab cakes 🦀 have no bread filler but some type of sauce instead, we also had fried shrimp 🍤 and enjoyed that as well. Get the sweet potato 🍠 wedges they were yummy!!! Jimmy's do have a policy listed on the menu - you order it you buy it!!! I did not know what it meant until I got my drink (white sangria) 🍷which was absolutely horrible 🤢, I told our waitress, did not drink it, and was still charged for it 🤑... So not the place to try something new! Staff was very friendly 🫂 and our waitress was nice... Not quite as attentive as other staff members but probably worth at least 10-12% worth of a tip (of a $270 bill). She visited our table maybe 3 times, never refilling our water, and definitely did not provide service that we saw other tables receive. However, 18% was already on the bill. We were just a table of 4 🍽️ we did not have special requests or changes to the menu items, stay about an hour and change 🕰️ (would have been shorter if she'd come to the table timely) and the sign at the front said (paraphrase) they reserved the right to assess 18%. I would hope automatically adding the tip in the bill is the standard for all patrons and not selectively done. For my grandparents, being forced a certain amount for tip ($50) was a hot topic of discussion lol 🤣

Went for our Anniversary. They put shrimp mixed in the crab topping on the Whole lobster. Not a fan at all. Not sure if it was a filler but wasn't good that way. My husband got the Stuffed Lobster tail and that did t have shrimp and was awesome. Server was excellent. Also the inside seating sound volume was a bit much. So we moved to the outside deck area. Which was lovely.

Stop what you’re doing in Baltimore and go visit Jimmy’s. Their food, especially the crab cakes and crab cake egg rolls, are the Best food we had in Baltimore. If there’s a drawback I’d say there’s too many great options. The one option I couldn’t live without was our server, Lauren A. She was phenomenal with a great knowledge of the menu, the restaurant history and more. Ask for her when you go there!

Many times a restaurant’s reputation can become overhyped, setting you up for an experience that doesn’t match the reputation. Not the case with Jimmy’s Famous Seafood! From the time our party (4) walked in until the time we left, we were made to feel like we were the only ones there. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Anayha, was very attentive, very professional, and yet very charming and personable. As we were preparing to leave we discovered it was her very first day on the job! But she wasn’t the only star of the evening. The food was simply amazing as well! For starters we ordered the seafood tower as an appetizer. We were overwhelmed when it arrived. If looked like a tower of everything they served at Jimmy’s Famous! Everything was prepared very well…mother over or under cooked. Even the charred octopus was perfectly presented. My wife got the fried oysters as her entree’ and I got the Chesapeake Chicken. Freaking amazing! Obviously, more food was taken home than eaten at the restaurant. We are from Kentucky but we’ve made it a personal mission to visit Jimmy’s again…sooner rather than later! Bravo Jimmy’s!!!

Long time Baltimorian first timer at Jimmy's Seafood. I must tell you the staff behind the bar are AMAZING!!! Everyone worked well together with 4-5 waiters/waitresses coming to you to check on you and your order. Food is amazing I had 3 appetizers which were more like full size meals and and entre that I could barley touch. I will be coming back soon.

Haven't eaten there as much as I'd probably like, but I can say the few times I have, the food is top notch! Service is great and the place is clean. Had the twin crab cakes today and they're absolutely phenomenal! Actual crab and not a bunch of fillers. Also support them because screw PETA!

We drove 2 hours just to try seafood from Jimmy's. We were seated quickly but by the door to the patio. So, the draft everytime the door opens was not appealing. The waiting seamed to have forgotten us at first but took cared of us. He recommended the vegetarian pasta for my partner. For me, he suggested the the Maryland crab soup with was good eventhough I don't like tomato based food. He also recommended the 1/2 DZ M/L Mix MALE which was meaty and a lot for one person to eat. I ended up taking home 3 crabs. It was boiled with a salt seasoning. I had it without the butter sauce and it still tasted good.

Second time dining here and the seafood never disappoints. Absolutely love the quality of lumps used for the crab cakes. And the steam pot was a decent amount of food for 2. Only down side was the time it took for our waiter to tend to us (bring the check, refill water, etc) but other than that, food was excellent. Dining on the deck is a nice lunchtime vibe.

My daughter had been here years ago and enjoyed herself so much that she had Jimmy's crab cakes shipped to me. This time I had to experience it 1st hand and they did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely Delish! Our server was personable, attentive, engaging, observing and profound knowledge of menu. Thank you Havana..you were Awesome!

Took my parents here while visiting the DMV. It is located in an industrial area but plenty of parking and a new building. The decor is new and modern. Thomas was very informative and attentive. Since it was our first time there he explained everything. The food was very very good. My Dad loved the lobster tail appetizer and the parmesean crusted flounder. Mom like the house salad and fried shrimp. The crab cakes were very good with minimal filler. We all had enough left for another meal. A must go if you're in the area. My followup.... In order to make this a five star review, your chairs have to be more comfortable.
