While our stay at Bgh Nga Thani Resort we‘ve unfortunately didn’t make such a great experience - constructions should have ended in October which is noted on the website (we’ve booked end November) and they were still ongoing. Service did not grant anything back, rooms are ok - bit old but more or less clean. Breakfast ok, pool indeed - smells like „death“ but I think that’s because of the trash in front of the pool (see picture).

A wonderful place to stay with some of the most attentive and polite staff we have ever met in the world. Our room, which was one of the villas, was sublime - the private pool and the bungalow style accommodation was absolutely divine and we tried to extend our stay by two nights! Unfortunately for us (but fortunately for the next lucky people) it was already fully booked! Nevertheless a very memorable stay. The communal pool was also lovely, lots of features to the pool which had clearly been designed with a lot of thought. Breakfast was great too! We didn't eat any other time as we wanted to explore the area but it looked great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with our 5 year old. They provided a lovely crib which fit him perfectly, the breakfast was varied and healthy, the rooms spotless, and the pool great for kids. The hotel is nicely located away from the main buzz but within a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops.

We have booked the grand apartments with garden view at Bhu Nga Thani Resort Railay, and I have to be honest we have a very disappointed. For the price we paid close to $200 per night the place is overpriced. The place is ruined down and the Gardenview does not exist from our apartment for sure as we facing to another commercial building. The bathtub inside our apartment is disgusting. I would be afraid to take a bath in it. The Miral is also all rusty. The pictures of the resort online is from 10 years before and nothing has been done ever since. I understand that that was Covid but if you take a walk on Railay beach other resorts are well-maintained. We were very happy with the breakfast, though and also with the service at the pool. “Free” the pool bartender is super nice and I can tell he loves his job. The bed is very comfortable. I have to admit this place probably was a wonderful resort 10 years ago but now it’s not a 4* for sure and they have to rethink their prices as well because it’s overrated for the quality.

Hotel apparently took a hard hit during covid. Wouldn’t recommend staying there at the moment. Rooms and facility poorly maintained. Visible mold and/ or mildew smell in both rooms. Outdoor shower smelled strongly of sewage. Water fountains etc were filled with old, gritty water… On the upside: the staff was friendly and very helpful.

The room wasn’t what one would expect from a hotel at this level. AC was bit noisy, some light switches wasn’t functioning. Very nice pool. Gave five starts due to the process of renovation they’re at now, hope all will be fixed. Regarding location the hotel is next to the pier which is convenient. Getting to the Main Street will take bit walking, but still close. The staff was friendly and breakfast was rich and good.

Super close to the pier which is great for transporting your luggage. I'm assuming it was because of the season (I was there in December), but the beach view is not so pleasant because of low tide. Lots of patches of wet sand. But I bet it's beautiful at other times. There was a ton of construction going on all around the property. It wasn't necessarily noisy but just seemed like we were in their way a bit. The staff is very nice and attentive and provided to-go breakfast boxes for us when we had an early morning tour one of the days. It's walkable to all of the restaurants, and it's nice to be not in the heart of it all. The pool has a gorgeous view of the cliffs and the swim-up bar is clutch. The restaurant's food was alright but weirdly took forever to get our bill even though there was only one other table. May have been miscommunication. There were a couple hairs on the floor of our bathroom so we asked if they could have it cleaned up, which they did when we got our room serviced. We couldn't find the main light switch so they sent someone in. Located on the right side of the bed!

Perfectly located very close to Railay East pier, this hotel is very well taken care of, with modern Thai style architecture, contemporary furniture and nicely maintained green spaces. Pool is not huge but has great views of the surrounding nature. Rooms are spacious, quiet and nice with big bathrooms. Balconies are large and relaxing. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruits, salads, egg and pancake station, many Western and Asian options. Staff was very kind and service minded. There is a small gym on site. Good music and cocktails by the pool and happy hour was very popular. The hotel offered a reasonably priced transfer from Krabi airport, which was convenient. Won’t hesitate to stay again.

I have been in this hotel twice. First time was 13 years ago and it was fantastic. It could easily be a 5 star hotel but now it is barely a 4. Why? Rooms havent been renovated and apart from obvious wear and tear the a/c is very noisy. The hotel was undergoing renovation of some facilities which caused eye sore and the unavailability of some facilities like the toilets by the pool. Booking advertised this place as having renovations finished 1 month before. The food is still fantastic and by far the best we have eaten in railay. The views are breathtaking. The design is great even after 13 years and location wise although it is east facing (the less beautiful side of railay, it is very conveniently located near the east railay pier. What was the biggest disappointment was the service except at the pool and restaurant: very poor english skills, our room was not cleaned until 4 pm one day and we were promptly informed to vacate the room. With a turnaround this hotel would easily have 5 stars but some work is needed.

Slightly older but very well maintained hotel. Huge rooms with excellent facilities. The property is only a 2min walk from the pier where you arrive on Railay. Staff spoke excellent English and the level off hospitality is that off what you would expect in a 4* hotel. Special mention to Mr. Free. Talkative, knowledgeable and super friendly bartender that will go out of his way to make your holiday at Bhu Nga Thani unforgettable! We will be back

Great resort! Exceptionally friendly staff throughout! Really enjoyed the small lunches at the pool. Fresh coconuts were very high quality, and much bigger compared to other shops/restaurants. Hotel transfer from the airport worked perfectly (1600 Baht, private shuttle ride and boat).

Please note, I am sure that previous reviews are sponsored and not legit!!! All from Thai people, with a single review ever made... Read here: We took the presidential villa. The most expensive accommodation. The villa is very outdated with a low maintenance level!!! Many broken things, none functioning hot tubs, and many more issues. The private pool was great and the spacious rooms. Yet, very very old and outdated with an unpleasant feeling. Breakfast was pretty lame. Low-quality food compared to other Thai hotels and low variety. Personalized coffee is the only plus I guess. We also got the room after 2 pm, yet, we also checkout by 1 pm.

Great hotel, super friendly staff, great rooms, best restaurant for dinners in town, nice pool and great cocktails at bargain price during the happy hour!

We enjoyed our time here at bhu nga thani! All the staff were so helpful and kind to us throughout. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast buffet was amazing, lots of options (bread, croissants, pancakes, eggs, yogurt, fruit, congee, rice, curry, pork buns, pasta, salad, juice, coffee, etc.) And everything tasted really good. We stayed here and then walked to the other side (it's a very short walk of less than 5 minutes) for the beach/ hikes/ long tail boat to ao nang.

The resort is on the eastern part of Railay beach, which has the advantage of being a 100m walk away from the landing pier. But that also means you need to walk a bit to be able to experience the more beautiful, more fun part of the beach. That would be the western part of Railay beach, for which you need to walk about 5-10 minutes. The rooms in this resort (we had the deluxe version) are beautiful and comfortable. The food was so-so.

The sweetest staff in Thailand is to find on this hotel. The vibe here is so great and is all curtesy to the people working here. All the lovely cleaning ladies were always smiling, the staff in the breakfast restaurant did everything with a smile. And a big shoutout to the nicest bartender in the world. Mr. Free 😘 Beside this, the hotel was extremely fair priced, the rooms were great and the pool area was nice. The pool bar was good and Mr. Free was always ready with a smile and cold Singha. Don’t miss happy hour 🍻 About a 5-10 minute walk to the Main Street. Can’t wait to come back!

Cannot go lower than 5 for the fantastic service by the great staff, shout out to Free and Boy — Railay rockstars in every way. Great pool area with a nice pool bar manned by Free, Thailands friendliest bartender. Spacious rooms with decent AC (old, but did its job well). A walk to the beach (2 to choose from, both great), but with the nice pool area we ended up just staying there most of the time with some short excursions to the beach. Great place for those with or without kids (we had 2 under 3 years old)

Bhu Nga Tani, the private resort in Hat Rai lay is extremely beautiful place. Staying in Pool villa room type have many services, private swimming pool, Jacuzzi and other complementary. You also can enjoy pool bar and spa. Sometimes there are happy hour promotion which can get discount on beverages.

5 stars for the customer service we received. Free and Boy were both so friendly & kind. They were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. They truly made our stay a very special one and we will be coming back to stay again because of them. The hotel is beautiful and the swimming pool is a fabulous way to spend an afternoon relaxing after activities around Railay Beach. Bhu Nga Thani is on the east side of Railay, a 5 minute walk across from the west and is less crowded with day trippers.

My wife and I stayed here for the second leg of our honeymoon. Overall, it was a nice stay. The poolside bar and was nice and the gentleman that was in the bar was very nice. The pool is beautiful, but definitely for soaking and you cannot do laps. The restaurant staff was also very nice. The food was hit or miss. We had dinner there multiple times and ordered the Thai food. Some of it was really good with good flavor and spice but some of it was bland. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of American style foods like bacon and eggs but also a few Thai dishes. The focus was mostly on Westerized food. The resort was definitely aged and showing signs of being next to the water. This was not the biggest deal for us, as we were expecting it. They only left two bottles of drinking water in the room, so we had to consistently ask for more, which was a little annoying. We had a room with the huge tub in the back of it. That was nice except for the length of time it took to fill it. The The pillows were very hard and the staff's English is a little hit or miss, but they really tried. Typical mid level beach resort.

Nice hotel in Railey, nicely located, staff was very helpful and spoke good english. The rooms where spacious and clean; however the AC was very loud, and as the bathroom had an open-air feature (which was amazing) it was hard to lower humidity levels without the air con. Pillows were too high and hard in our opinion, made it impossible to sleep with them. Overall a good experience, we got our value for money.

Really big room with a huge comfy bed. Big bath, and great shower. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed the location & it’s super close to the east pier when you arrive. Breakfast was great, but the restaurant in the evening was just OK. It’s definitely the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in across Thailand (as is a lot of things in Railay), but it was also the nicest. Only gripe was that the Spa wasn’t open.

I stayed at Bhu Nga Thani resort for one night with my boyfriend. The hotel was good overall, my only complaint would be the breakfast, as there were flies everywhere. Room: 9/10 - Rooms were large, clean and spacious. The washroom was huge. Food: 6/10 - The breakfast buffet was unappetizing because of all the flies. I would skip this if you stay here. Service: 8/10 - Seamless and quick check in process, hotel staff were pleasant. Location: 9/10 - Right by the pier and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

This was one of the best stay experiences on our Thailand Trip. Location - Very close to the Railey Pier - 1 minute walking Rooms - Huge rooms with balcony and sit out area. The USP was the square bath tub!! One of its kind. The size of the room and the size of dressing area were almost same..that's how huge it was! Amenities - The swimming pool is amazing. They also have a pool Bar and some fancy fountain like thing. The spa was shut due to covid. Restaurant - They had very limited options in vegetarian food - mainly fruits, salads and cornflakes. But specially for us, they made veg fried rice, spagetti and Penne Pasta and gave us individual servings. I really admire their hospitality. They staff is always smiling and anyone who meets you will greet you with a smile. If you are staying in Railey (Krabi) - this is where you should stay!

Amazing hotel in Railay! Maybe the 2nd most expensive so not really a budget hotel, but absolutely gorgeous. Rooms are huge, pool with swim up bar was great, service was so friendly. Special shout out to Free, the best bartender ever 😊 Within walking distance 15 mins max to other side of with beach. Highly recommended!

One of the best designed layout and construction materials used in my pool villa. The poured terrazzo bathtub could fit several adults easily. The interior doors are heavy, solid wood. I could see a limestone mountain and my private pool from my king size bed. I love this bungalow!

A beautiful resort on railey. Very friendly staff. Rooms with comfortable furniture and beds, strong showers. Excellent buffet breakfast. Pool had great views and a very friendly bar man. All in all a great stay. It’s on the side of the peninsula with no beach but it’s very easy to walk to all the attractions.

Great stay in pool villa! This is an amazing resort on Railay east. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The pool villa was amazing value for money. I loved my stay at Bhu Nga Thani, the room were beautiful and the bathroom’s enormous. The location made the resort a wonderful place to relief your stress.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon 2 years ago. It was our last stop in our travels in Thailand. It was absolutely amazing. The staff, service, and food were wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were so happy with our stay which made our Honeymoon that more special.
