It is a large temple, both on the level ground..and on the mountain..originally it was an abandoned temple.. **It is a landmark of Nakhon Sawan. **There is Chulamanee Chedi (has 4 floors)..There are Buddha's footprints...on the chedi the view is very beautiful. **Phra Wihan Luang Phor Bunrod.. **City observation tower..visible 360° very beautiful **There is a pavilion of Luang Pho To..at Wat Lang.. **The temple is also a meditation center.

Wow!!! What a beautiful temple. So much detail and a lot of different Buddha images and very well kept. I'm not sure about the history of this temple or how old it is but it's very impressive. I love this place

The central Thai city of Nakhon Sawan has a giant golden Buddha perched on a small mountain on the northern side of the city to spiritually stand watch and protect the city’s inhabitants. Right above that Buddha is Wat Khiriwong – a beautiful Buddhist temple that offers excellent views of the city below and the Bung Boraphet wetlands to the east. The temple itself is fun to explore and interact with the locals who are there to earn merit by honoring Lord Buddha. After spending 2 or 3 hours exploring the temple’s three floors and nearby exhibits, be sure to grab a bite to eat and a cold drink from the many local vendors’ stalls on the temple grounds. Don't let the drive up the steep road to the temple deter you; no one has fallen off yet.

Wat Khiriwong, Nakhon Sawan Province, is an old temple built in the late Sukhothai period that was abandoned and was discovered and rebuilt between 1961 and 1977 from the joint effort of Buddhists and Related agencies The uniqueness of this temple is the Phra Chulamanee Chedi that stands majestically on the top of a mountain which can be seen from a distance. Inside are the relics of the Lord Buddha and several important Buddha images. It is also a viewpoint of Nakhon Sawan city in a wide angle that is very beautiful.

Wat Kiriwong is located on top of Dawa Dung Mountain, Nakhon Sawan. It has a sacred golden pagoda – Prajulamanee pagoda. On the fourth floor of pagoda, you will see the awesome scenery of Nakhon Sawan province

Nice view the top from the hill. The bird view to the city is very impressive. It's the substitution for Nakhon Sawan Tower, as the tower is closed for maintenance. The entrance of the hill is another template and surrounded by graveyard, and many aggressive wild dogs occupy the place. However, you can drive up to this temple from the entrance below. There's a parking lot right at the front here.

Way Khiriwong and the Chulamani Cheri sit atop a mountain at the northern part of the city. In addition to the religious art and artefacts, the view from the top on a clear day is quite impressive. If you're passing it's definitely worth a short detour.

Beautiful view over the city. I haven't any religious purpose for visiting the temple, so that I can't say more than that.

👍👍 Open the trip with a stop to pay respects to Grandma Grandma at the shrine. Worshiping the gods is quite ceremonial. Luckily, we came out in the morning, there weren't many people, and Uncle Ku was always kind and ready to explain. The cost of a large bundle of incense sticks is 30.-. We also bring...
