We had a really fun experience here. We paid 300 bhat for one bucket of food as we chose the option just to feed the elephants. They have other options if you want to prepare food or shower with the elephants. They gave us sugar cane bars but I saw another group had little bananas and leaves (it just depends on what the elephants have eaten already and what time you go). We went around 2:30 on a wednesday and it was pretty empty. There are 4 elephants (2 on each side of a long walkway). They are in what I will loosely call an enclosure (aka just a stick of long wood keeping them inside) but it is clear that this is just where they chill during the day. The staff had only one command to help with photos and it was purely verbal. Elephants are clearly happy here and get to move around the shelter all day when they’re not eating. There are a lot of unethical elephant experiences in Thailand but we felt really confident that that was NOT in anyway the case here. The elephants are really happy to receive food which makes for a really fun experience (and cute photos). We got a chance to feed all 4 and even 2 at once. The staff here are super friendly and efficient. I more than recommend this experience.

What an amazing experience here! We came here just for the feeding, which was brilliant. Got to get close to the elephants and feed them by hand. They are very well looked after here in their retirement and seem very relaxed with the surroundings. No cages in sight and they roam relatively free which is amazing. I had to come back a second time to do the washing experience with them. This was even better and I definitely recommend this one. It includes feeding the elephants again and going in the river with them. They seem like they are enjoying the river and playing freely as well as being cared for. After we had fresh fruit and coconut which was lovely end too. Great place and this is something that definitely needs to be done in the area.

It was a great experience and a very well organized trip. We were picked up at the hotel on time. Everything was extremely organized on site. There was enough instruction on how to deal with the elephants. The animals all seem very happy and well cared for and are not chained. Each elephant has its own caretaker/caregiver. Bathing/washing the elephants was my highlight! People will be taking photos with the elephants the entire time. You will then receive this via email. Highly recommended trip!

We loved it! We walked the way here and had a full tour for 90 min for 1500 baht each. (Take care, there are specific tour times, so may be better to read the information on the website or I guess there are tours with pick ups.) The place is amazing, you can see the place is great for elephants! The elephants are being treated kindly.

Super nice people. Elephants that are treated with respect and taken well care of. Feeding cost 300 - 350 baht per sugar cane bucket [although they say per person] That's the only ticket so far and it is well worth it to support the animals and people caring for them. Very good experience also for kids. There are few parrots too. 🦜

Amazing place. The elephants are well taken care of, they are roaming freely and all the employees seem to genuinely care about their wellbeing. By coming here you not only get a once in a lifetime experience of being with the elephants, but also support a great cause and these cute animals. Can’t recommend this enough!

No entry fee or need to book anything. The animals seem well looked after and are very friendly. Took a while to get the nerve up to feed sugar cane right into the elephants mouth. The handlers are great. The animals are not tied down, but they seem to pretty much stay where you feed them. There were 3 female and one big male. You could feed the male but no hugging. Lots of 🚻 and a sink area to wash hands and arms after feeding. Very relaxing atmosphere.

If you have the time, do drop by to help with this shelter. A basket of sugar cane to feed the elephants cost only 300B. There is one elephant with only 1 eye and by visiting, we could help the animals. No entrance fee as visitors only pay to feed the animals which is optional. You can also feed the parrots with sunflower seeds which cost 20B per packs. You can also take photo with the elephants.

The majestic animal was so beautiful to look at. Not chained or tied to anything. This's shelter space for the elephants. You need to pay 300/bath per person and you will be given a basket of sugar cane to feed them. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Very nice sanctuary. The elephants are 35, 65 and 65 years old. No entrance fee, but if you want to feed the elephants the sugar cane bucket is 300 baht per person. Donations are welcome to help the place going

Incredible experience! I would recommend this experience to everyone coming to Krabi, without hesitation! Krabi Elephant Shelter has very helpful, very friendly staff, I contacted them on WhatsApp and they replied and reserved my booking within minutes. The handlers are very kind, gentle and friendly people too. They never once hit, pushed or slapped any of the elephants. They have 6 elephants, all rescued from previously being used for logging or carrying tourists on rides. They’re taken care of 24 hours a day by their handlers, fed, washed, scrubbed and left to sleep in the forest. No abuse or maliciousness towards the elephants: I recommend you support this sanctuary! Also complimentary coconuts, water and cold watermelon as well as showers with soap and shampoo to get the mud off. Enjoy!

Was fantastic to meet these lovely elephants. Each had their own character and expressed themselves freely. Never made to do anything they didn’t want to. Was so much fun I didn’t want to leave. The tours are half day which are more than enough and it gives the elephants rest before being introduced to another group later in the day. The tour guides introduce you carefully with the each elephants individual care person (Mahmoud) so that each can sniff you for scent, be fed by you and later be bathed by you. Never felt nervous around them and was great to see how well cared for each of them are as they are a wide range of ages and each has a different background to how they ended up at the sanctuary. Great day out and keep up the amazing work.

Great place to see, feed and bathe elephants. All elephants have been rescued and are here to have a great time. The elephants are not chained or caged. Absolutely no suffering. No trekking or riding on the elephants, which is good to see. Very friendly staff, who kindly explained about the elephants. They really take their time to let you feed and touch the elephants. When were here (July 2023) it was 300 Baht for feeding, and 1200 baht for feeding, bathing and showering. With all programs a photographer is included for free. 10/10 would recommend!

Great experience We were with friends and we had a great day. We started with a debrief of the presentation of the elephants and then we left for feeding, walk to the water point, brushing of the elephants' backs then shower and snack. We were a lot but the team knew how to make time for everyone and each of us had time with the elephants. Thanks to the whole team and the elephants

Excellent experience! Definitely one of those elephant shelters which does really care about animals. Elephants seemed to be very happy and were very playful with quests. We were able to feed them and touch them. Staff were very friendly and professional. Recommended!

An amazing morning meeting the elephants in a relaxed setting. We fed and bathed with the elephants and got up close. The animals seemed very calm and happy and the guides were really helpful and friendly and took loads of photos. They couldn’t have been nicer, collected and dropped us off from our hotel and provided us with lovely refreshments at the end. Thank you We booked and paid online just the night before and it was so easy to do.

300 baht per person feeding the elephants. The worker answers to tour questions with solid English so you can get more out of the experience. They serve you free coffee and tea if you need to wait for your turn to feed the giants

It is the best place for your first encounter with elephants. You can feed them for 300 THB or you can give them a bath for 1800 THB. The people who serve this place are very attentive and friendly. The elephant caretakers are always aware of the attitude of each one of them, so it is highly recommended for any age. Excellent place I loved it.

We booked the Cook&Feed and had a private guide for the two of us. There were few people on site and a lot of time was taken to explain everything to us in detail. All elephants were free without chains and individual characteristics were taken into account when feeding them. We were exactly looking for a station like this that wasn't so touristy and focused on the welfare of the animals. We can recommend it at any time with our hearts for these great animals.

The place was recommended to us. We only spent around 30 minutes there feeding sugar cane to the elephants whist the mahout told us their history. It seemed to be a humane place with no chains on the elephants and no riding. However, I don't know what the conditions were like for them behind closed doors.

Such a wonderful experience preparing food and feeding the elephants! The elephants roam free and look so happy. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the trainees were also so helpful and took amazing photos for us. Highly recommend this place! We booked easily, same day on GetYourGuide.

Well worth the visit. We fed the elephants and it was hands on. All staff went to great efforts to assist you and take tons of pictures of your personal interactions. Your visit also helps these incredible creatures.

The tour was fantastic, especially the feeding program I participated in. Our guide was incredibly helpful, providing comprehensive explanations about the elephants and their care. I had no idea that elephant shelters coexisted with sanctuaries. It's impressive how much these folks genuinely care for the elephants. Major kudos to the Mahouts who dedicate themselves to the elephants around the clock. I highly encourage everyone to visit and support them however possible.

You can feed the elephants for 300 baht, which I prefer than paying 2500 like in other places. The stuff is friendly and the animals looks happy as well. No chains or anything. Recommended!

Nice place to meet elephants, staffs are friendly. Feed the elephants need 300thb is accepted as they also need fund for daily operation. They also got 3 parrots there. Toilet and shower facilities is clean and you can bath with elephants too. But today we didn't do it, maybe next time.
