I’ve eaten here every time I visit Hua Hin. My husband and I are a big fan of Indian food and we have travelled to many countries to try the best Indian cuisine. Shiva is definitely number one in Thailand! We’ve visited soooo many Indian restaurants around the country yet no place can compete! On top of the delicious food they serve, the professionalism of the owner and staffs is beyond. They are very friendly and really make the place so comfortable and welcoming. If you love Indian food and you haven’t tried Shiva...you’ve missed out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you like real Indian food, don’t come to this one. according to the price per small dish 250b-500b, plain rice 50b, small nan from 50-150b, 40b for a small bottle of water, 500b per person per meal at least. the food is really not worthy, not real Indian spices and service is the worst in Hua hin. Any Thai food out there in hua hin is cheaper and tastier than this one.

One of the best meals and restaurants in Hua Hin . Lovely kind genuine owner and all his staff so attentive to our needs . Could have chatted to the Dr all night, he’s lived such a fulfilled & interesting life . Prawn bhuna , chicken vindaloo keema naan & rice all cooked to perfection . The whole restaurant experience was faultless & the ambience made just perfect with lighting , water features & beautiful landscaping . Sadly we go home in a couple of days but will be back , if only to eat here again 🙏

The service staff is attentive, works quickly and is friendly. You feel warmly welcomed as a guest. The garden with the many flowers and the art objects is simply a dream! It is desirable that this restaurant remains in Hua Hin for ever. It is an added value because in terms of culinary and hospitality it is more upscale than most offerings in the region. It would really be missed! I am writing this because the landlord is already of respectable age and hopefully a successor has been arranged for his meritorious work and his garden miracle. Very tasty. I'm new to Indian food, so I just guess when I order, but the mutton kashmiri was delicious. My wife had the butter chicken, which was also excellent. Definitely saving this place on my maps app.

I have heard lots of good things about Shiva over the last few years, but this was only my first visit and certainly not my last. The food was excellent and the best Indian food I have tasted in Thailand. The staff are really nice and the owner even taking the time to come out and chat with the customers. When weather permits, the restaurant is outdoors and it’s a beautiful and romantic setting. I highly recommend.

This very stylish restaurant is a little tucked away, but well worth the trip. On arrival you are greeted by lush, beautiful gardens. There are tables there or you can eat inside, which is furnished with quality furniture. I ate a delicious meal outside, with a fan provided. My lamb samosa was the best I have had in 50 years of eating Indian food, 2 pieces stuffed with tasty meat in light pastry. My mutton bhuna was very good, again plenty of tender, lean, meat. The vegetable biriani a good accompaniment. My perswari nan was a little disappointing, and I left most. I appreciate different countries, areas can have different versions of the same dish. This nan came with lots of nuts, but no discernable fruit e.g. the sultanas I look forward to, or coconut. Service was welcoming, and prompt. Good selection of beers, but looks like Indian beer no longer on menu? Looking forward to my next visit. Think this would be an excellent choice for a couple looking for a super meal in a very attractive, quiet setting.

We visited on a Saturday in the early afternoon for a late lunch. Our party of three adults and three children were the only customers. The owner was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu items. We ordered the Lamb Samosas, grilled chicken pieces, some fried rice, butter chicken masala curry, mutton vindaloo curry and a spinach/cottage cheese curry along with garlic naan, roti and another bread item that I cannot remember. The flavor and quality of the food was pretty good. The portions were a decent size, but the price point seems a bit higher than average. Seating is outdoors and there are mosquitos in the early afternoon. Luckily, on the day we were there, the breeze kept the mosquitos mostly away. All in all, our experience was pretty good. Note: My daughter wanted a sweet roti for dessert and even though it is not a menu item, they made it for her.

Great Indian restaurant just 3min away from Norway Garden. Super cozy outside seating! Food was good and fairly cheap. Staff understands little to no English, which made ordering and asking questions really hard, but the owner seemed to understand and speak English well :) definitely going back during our Hus Hin visit!

I have eaten here at least eight times so far and it is one of two Indian restaurants in the area that I consider the best. The advantage here is that you are able to dine outside in a garden like setting. I am always greeted with a smile when I pass through the front gate. Once seated I am given time to make my selection without being hovered over. The food may take a little while to get to you but it's never been too long and it's worth the wait. The food and service has been consistently good and the waitstaff is very helpful if you have any questions. The restaurant is located near the base of the road that takes you up to Lek Fai Viewpoint.

Considering how many great reviews I’d say that either expats are too far removed from their homeland Indian food or the reviewers haven’t enjoyed great Indian food. Best part was the lamb samosa which had lamb meat instead of ground lamb. Everything else looks like what we ordered but tasted like they forgot to add a few spices. Chicken listed as butter chicken is flavorless and the chicken is way too dry. Not even close. Lamb dish; they have 8 choices including a few we didn’t recognize. Asked what was least spicy and they recommended Balti which is suppose to be tomato based and quite flavorful. Very bland sauce. No recognizable Indian spices bit still spicy despite being told it wasn’t. Garlic naan tastes like that artificial butter I described earlier and also no real hint of fresh baked garlic. Very disappointing. Even worse is the saffron rice. Looks like Rice a Roni but takes like nothing at all. At over 1000 Baht the meal is overpriced for Thailand and especially Hua Hin. The owner wears a white collar shirt and tie and they put red carpets out which gives it a cheesy look. Overall not the worst Indian we’ve ever had but probably the most average meal we’ve had in Hua Hin so far. Very overrated in our opinion. Surprisingly, this turned out to be one of the better Indian places I've eaten recently. We got all vegetarian dishes so I can't comment on the meat but everything we got was expertly prepared, steaming hot, and delicious to the point of making one eat too much. Service was excellent (hosts are very fluent in English which helps). Ambiance is OK, certainly not a 5-star resort environment--but still nice, well-maintained outdoor seating area with many flowers and plants.
