Your standard thai-style dimsum place. I always want to give these places a try but very few of them hit the spot, and this is definitely not one that does. As usual, a lot of filler ingredients used in the dim sum replica items. The buns were not bad though. Ordered a fish salad on the side. Nice salad, and good fish, but then they drown it in some brown, mystery goop. Overall would not recommend.

My friend told me to try this “joke” restaurant at least once. So, I did. As the name “Joke” suggested in Thai language, it is famous for its Joke, a rice soup with Pork, Chicken, and fish. I had it with fish. Three are many varieties you can choose from such as noodles. It is also famous for Dim Sum.

Maybe I ordered the wrong dish - roast pork with noodles. Photo says it all. Looks and tastes like 90s one pot meal, with sweet the overriding flavour, an no texture. I won't be trying the other dishes. Price was 60 baht.

Unbeatable taste of Jok. I ordered it with pork ball and egg, and I just loved the simpleness of the taste. The restaurant opens 24/7, so you can visit anytime you want. In addition, the stuff member is really kind and serves promptly, so I also loved the quality of the service. If you visit Chiang Mai, this is definitely a must-go place in the area.

Great place to get jok (thick rice porridge) in the morning. Order jok with meat and egg and it is topped off with ginger and other delicious condiments. You can ask for fry bread to notch it up to another level. Delicious!

So happy about a nice bowl of congee here on a rainy evening. The shrimp were great quality fresh and plump, and it's a really busy place also for takeout. Condiments on the table to dress it to your liking. The also serve rice soup and noodles dishes, dim sum. Very quick service once they notice you and you can order.

We had takeaway here and the food was quite good. Portion for the noodles is not very big, but it’s very affordable and tasty. The staff does not speak a lot of English, but with the help of the menu you will manage to put your order in :)

I have Jok (congee) here almost everyday. It gets the job done at a good price. I wouldn't recommend the other dishes, I think other places do them better. If you go in expecting a cheap feed, nothing memorable, you won't be disappointed.

Food was great! We had fried rice, Khao soi and some dim sum and they were all really good, even the iced lemon grass drink we got was worth a trip back. The service was fast too! And it kind of reminds me of some restaurants we have back in my hometown 10/10! Thank youu!

I had their baked chicken meal here, along with chicken congee (with an egg). Funnily this place is open 24 hours a day, so when you arrive at the city with a ruined sleeping pattern then this would be the perfect place to come. The baked chicken is very good, the sauce they use is incredibly delicious, goes very well with the rice. Congee is a northern Thai dish, this is the speciality of this restaurant, it's like a porridge but filled with nice flavour.

The shop serves local Thai food as well as some Chinese Dim Sum items. The Thai food is tasty but the Dim Sum has great room for improvement. But this is not unexpected as Chinese Dim Sum is an art hard to master.

I was not feeling well, so I went to eat porridge, but it was mild and delicious. There are other restaurants nearby, so it would be nice to stop by together. I'm curious about other menus.

Looking for an amazing dining experience in Chiang Mai that won't break the bank? Look no further than Jok Sompet Restaurant! 🍴👌 With their unbeatable combination of cheap prices, fast service, and friendly staff, Jok Sompet is the perfect spot for a satisfying meal in the heart of the city. And the best part? The food is absolutely delicious! 🤤 I recently had the pleasure of trying their fried rice and I must say, it was one of the tastiest I've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced and it went so well with their refreshing rose tea. 😍 So if you're looking for a place to grab a quick and tasty bite to eat in Chiang Mai, head over to Jok Sompet Restaurant. ❤️ Seen on @lillyslifeofficial YouTube channel 😍 Thank you for the recommendation💓

Enjoyed my iced rose tea, red bean bao and fried noodle with vegetable — all for 105 THB! This place has some good vegetarian options but mostly meat/fish, as it’s got your usual dim sum. Nice place to grab food before heading out for the day, would recommend to visitors who don’t want to eat at places marketed to foreigners.

Second time here. Breakfast place serving up local favs like Dimsum, Congee, Noodles etc. Congee (7/10), Khao Soi (8/10) very creamy, Noodles with sauce (9/10).

Fusion Chinese and Thai food, roast chicken was really really good. But dim sum maybe not. Open air seating.

Great spot for Chinese style breakfast! Try the next door deep fried doughs + porridge combination! Perfect! Can be quite busy in the morning so be patient to be served lol

Signature rice porridge dishes. They do offer other dishes but must try is the rice porridge. Parking is limited.

The food was so yummy and the service was very quick. The place gets busy so make sure to get in at a good time. Definitely worth going to if you want traditional Thai food or some Chinese dim sum.

Limited menu but the dim sum and bao buns are amazing! They don’t serve alcohol either but for a quick stop for something to eat that’s different I would recommend. Not much of an atmosphere this really is a quick bite to eat place.

Great, great place to get some thai food! I can specially recommend their khao soi gai, which is definitely one of the best I’ve had. The service is quick and they are very nice!
