We booked hiking tour and cooking class here. For the cooking class we kind of booked in the last minute. The lady was very helpful and she called several classes to see if the time fits. Later on, the cooking class paid for some ingredients for us in the local market. However, I repaid the cooking class owner via international transfer from my home bank account, her bank deducted a huge transaction fee, leaving her only 40 Baht. So days after I left Chiang Mai, I went back to Wandering Star Tour to ask for help. The lady was super helpful and helped me to settle the payment with the cooking class owner. Very nice service and trustworthy! Definitely recommend to everyone visiting Chiang Mai!

The team at Wandering Star are fantastic. Dao in the office was quick at responding and answering my questions and was super professional. Nana and the driver Tum were excellent on the tour. Nana explained about what we were seeing as well as educating us on other cultural nuances and topics to do with Thai culture. She was a truly wonderful, kind and knowledgeable guide. The tour organised a great itinerary to doi Inthanon and we had a fantastic lunch, all at places that were less busy. Would highly recommend

Very good travel agency. Friendly staff and they have been around for 16 years. They were also available for questions. We booked a one day tour with locals. Feeding and washing elephants, then to the waterfall for a swim and then bamboo rafting. Super organized, friendly staff. Is recommended, also for children. The guide kept a close eye on our 11 year old son at the waterfall.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Unlike other tour offices, Wandering Star Tour doesn't try to charge you double the value of a tour. They always offer you the best price possible without you even having to ask! They deal with ALL the tour providers so you are able to book every possible activity imaginable at a very reasonable cost. They are also super supportive before/during/after your tour. First time looking for a 4 days customized trip in Northern Thailand. Besides offering a very reasonable price, Ms. Dao is very patient and professional in advising my requirements. First of all, hands down the most wonderful experience. I just got back from my trip to Chiang Mai with my father, and although I had looked everything up and planned routes/tours accordingly it was still confusing to do all the planning myself. In despair, I contacted Wandering Star Tours, and Miss Dao Tours took care of everything!!! She basically did everything from planning our tours (all private and catered to our needs), and was so kind with last minute changes (my father's hip pain was getting a bit worse, so we had to cancel our trip to Chiang Rai, which is a 3 hour drive there and 3 hours back). Not to mention, our guide and driver were just excellent. Ms.Honey and Mr.Bee made sure we were comfortable in the car, made sure we were hydrated the whole time, answered all our questions, and did all this at a pace that was perfect for my father. Two morning-to-midday half-day tours (of temples), and one midday-to-evening tour (of Queen Sirikit Garden and Doi Suthep)- I cannot say enough good things about our tours with this company. Wear comfortable shoes and polite clothing if you're doing a temple tour! Thank you again, to Miss Dao and Ms.Honey and Mr. Bee for a wonderful time in Chiang Mai. We will be back!

Highly highly recommend for a smooth fuss free experience. All the staff here so helpful. Even easy to contact via WhatsApp. I met them at closing time she replied to my WhatsApp even late at night and early morning arranged a private tour for me outside of working hours. Driver reached on time car was comfortable. Driver was very good with route and drove safely. They speak and understand English well. We had a fun relaxed day covering sticky waterfall, elephant poopoo paper park, doi sutep and wat prah. Thank you so much for a wonderful day !

Excellent agency with good prices and honest recommendations. Cat (I’m not sure if that’s the right name) was great at finding a solution for us - combining 2 tours into one (for the following day) and organising a car to take us to Doi Suthep temple the same day (driver waited for us at the temple). Very quick to respond and organise and the tour guides they partner with were amazing! We did a combination of elephant sanctuary (living green elephant sanctuary) and national park tour in one day. Our guide Rainbow and driver (Young Man was his nickname) were great - very engaging, funny and informative. We had only 2.5 days in Chiang Mai and Wondering Star tour made it possible to see quite a few things in such a short amount of time!

For my family of 9, I booked a private tour to Elephant Ecovalley and it was fantastic. Nana was excellent. (5/5) However my parents also went for the group tour to the national park, the experience was okay, but perhaps it would have been better paying 2-3x more for the private tour! (3/5) Overall though, I would highly recommend this agency. (hence the 4/5)

Getting a tour arrange by Wandering Star is our best experience holidaying in Chiangmai. Kae&Dao are both very helpful & patient discussing our options for a day tour. We finally chose Doi Inthanon mountain for the shorter travelling time & cooler weather. Very good pricing for a private tour group of 6pax. Visibility up on the mountain was very good for photo/video taking of the stupas of Phra Mahathat Naphamethanidon & Phra Mahathat Naphapholphumisiri. On our way down much to our surprised lunch was very good albeit some flies accompanying us. In addition to a sumptuous meal we had nice desserts of a big plate of fruits & mango sticky rice. Superb. Wrapping up the tour a free cup of robusta coffee was ‘god’ send at the Karen tribe village. Not to forget to thank Nana our excellent & knowledgeable tour guide & our quiet driver Sam who drove us comfortably & safely. Roger & Gang of 6 from Singapore.

We booked a last minute excursion to Chiang Rai with Dao and not only did she get us a great deal, she worked hard to get us a place on a tour the next day (due to us being a bit indecisive and unorganized) allowing us to experience this great city! I booked the Elephant bamboo half day tour, not only the tour was reasonably priced, fun, and well organized but the staff Dao is also amazing and a kind person. I happened to need help with making appointment with local chiropractor that didnt speak english, long story short, she was able to help, went above and beyond with her hospitality.
